Chapter 10: The Perfect Lie

Inside a certain cave, a panting woman can be found with a guy who's coughing blood.

"Sister, are you alright?" Eldrin who was unbothered were now asking Elise with concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It just that the attack ere too strong for me. If I didn't used all of my energy, then my space dimension will be destroyed." Elise said weakly as she began to rest again.

"What?! That strong?!" Frank was surprised by Elise's words.

"You!! If my sister was put in danger just now, I wouldn't be able to forgive you!" Eldrin clutch Carl's robe as he look at him with condemn.

"I.. I know. And I thank her for helping me." Carl apologize as he thanked Elise.

"Brother, are you alright?" Icy asked Carl with the same concern and got angry over Jacob. She had never seen her brother coughing blood like this!

"Yeah, I'm fine. The attack was just too strong that even destroy my only weapon." Carl said with sad tone but he won't regret it. After all, the one he saved was his lover, Sofia.

"Thank you, Elise. I will never forget your kindness." Carl said to Elise as he go towards Sofia.

After a moment, Carl and Sofia entered the cave.

"Is.. is it you who help Carl to save me?" Sofia look at Elise and asked.

"Yeah. Well, I just don't want to see a person die in front of me." Elise said perfunctorily.

"Thank you, Miss. I hope this fruit will be enough as a thank you gift." Tapping her spatial ring, a large green octagon fruit appeared in her hands before giving it to Elise.

"No. You don't need to give me your treasure. I just help him a bit." Elise tried to reject Sofia's offer but the latter already hold her hands and put the fruit on it.

"Well, since you have already taken it, then you can't give it back." Sofia said before she blink at Elise.

"Wow. That fruit looks delicious. Miss, do you have some?" Frank seems to like the fruit and want a taste as well.

"Uhm... But I only have limited number of that kind of fruit, so sorry." Sofia said politely.

"Uhm.. that's too bad." Frank didn't mind the rejection.

"Sister Sofia, can I buy the fruit with one energy bead, what do you say?" Icy, looking at Frank, ask for negotiation.

"Hahaha, little sister, even if you have the holy Spiritual bead, I won't exchange it for you since I only now have three." Sofia decline the offer that make Icy disappointed.

"Well, Frank, if you want, you can just eat it." Elise said but was rejected by Frank since it is her gift.

"Here!" Eldrin, who's just shutting his mouth at the corner suddenly tossed a green object towards Frank.

Frank was surprised but nonetheless catch the tossed object.

"Eh?! How.. how can you have it?" Frank asked delightedly as he look at the large green octagon fruit.

"I just found it when we explore the forest." Eldrin was still as cold as before which make Frank a bit surprised. Eldrin wasn't as cold as this before.

"I see. Then thank you." Frank said as he happily munch the fruit. A sweet taste linger in his mouth as a sudden energy rushed in his body.

"Wow! This fruit can actually replenish the loss energy. Amazing!" Frank praised the fruit as he completely devoured it.

Elise also devoured the fruit that makes her complexity go back to normal.

"So handsome!" Icy can't help but escape such words as she look at Frank. It feels like someone was playing her heart.

She shouldn't supposed to be this kind of stupid girl to fall in love at first sight. She always have high resistance towards love so that's why it makes her wonder.

"Eh? Did little Icy likes that guy?" Sofia, who's in Carl's embrace asked curiously.

"Well, yeah. He's too handsome." Icy said as she indeed have an infatuated look on her face.

"Actually, you do not like him. It is the spirit behind you that affects your emotions." Sofia said to Icy that make the latter surprised. The others were also forced to look in her way.

"No... I.. I'm not the one who said it but I can't say who says it." Sofia went on defensive state.

According to the tree spirit, there's actually a spirit that was attracted to Icy and then rest on her body. But as spirit needs strong energy, the spirit then coincidentally saw Frank, who's full of vigor and strong energy that makes it excited.

The spirit can only acquire energy if its host perform bodily contact with the target. When two bodies become unite, the spirit then be able to extract the energy it needed to survive. That's why it was manipulating Icy's feeling. But as Icy was strong willed, only a little control were been taken away by the spirit.

"Then, what do you mean by saying those words?" Eldrin, who was resting in the corner, asked.

"I mean there was a spirit resting inside Icy's body since she meet its requirements. But since spirit needs strong energy like Frank, Icy must make love with Frank in order for it to survive. That's why Icy is like right now." Sofia repeat what the tree spirit said to her.

When Sofia asked the tree spirit why it can detect what's happening outside despite being in her spatial ring, it only answer that it was the Heavenly Man's favorite seed.

"Ma.. make love with me?" Frank blushed in an instant and become shy.

"How do I kill that spirit?" Eldrin looked at Sofia as if the latter was his savior.

"Uhm.. Only Elise can do it. If Elise have manage to improve her immortal skill, then it is no problem for her to deal with spirit." Sofia repeat what the seed said to her again.

"Eh? Me?" Elise looked at Sofia cautiously. She.. she never mentioned her immortal skill with anyone even if its her mother nor brother, so why do Sofia seems to know about it. Wait.. it wasn't Sofia since judging from the way she looked confused when looking at her, then it must be the one behind her.

"Yes. I don't know why, but that someone doesn't want to tell me about you anymore." Sofia said in honesty. Even she wants to know more about Elise.

"Eh? You have immortal skill?" Frank look at Elise in shock.

"Sister, hurry up and kill that spirit." Eldrin hurried her sister and was not surprised by her immortal skill since he already know that his sister has something up to her sleeves.

"Okay, Fine!" Elise said annoyed at Eldrin. If that brother of her didn't ask, then her secret would remain still hidden.

"Don't.. hurt my sister." Carl said in a worried tone.

"Brother, I'm fine! The spirit must be killed! How dare it plays my heart!" Icy said in anger.

"Carl, trust Elise. She can do it." Sofia comfort Carl.

"Soul Siege!" Elise used a nonverbal spell as three of the part of her divided soul walked out of dimension space and went inside Icy's body.

The other five figure inside the cave saw no movement since only Elise can see her divided soul.

Inside Icy's body were a battle of the transparent entity, but as three is better than one, the spirit then die tragically. After finishing the job, the three part of her soul went back to dimension space as well.

"It's done." Elise said as she opened her eyes.

"Eh?! Done? But you haven't do anything yet nor cast any spell." Frank was bewildered to know that it's finished already yet he saw nothing.

"Well, I didn't use any skill since the spirit can be suppressed by spiritual energy." Elise make up a lie.

"Finally! I didn't feel anything towards Frank anymore." Icy said in a elation. As she thought, she still have strong resistance towards male nor romantic love.

"Hehehe, this is good. That spirit even almost broke our relationship, brother." Icy said apologetically towards Carl.

"Well, don't think of it again. It's not your fault." Carl patted Icy's head.

"Elise, how did you do it? So strong?" Frank asked Elise as he wants to get an answer.

"As I said, I just suppressed it." Elise repeat the lie she said earlier.

"Do I look stupid? Elise, we've been childhood friend since we're little, so you can't lie to me." Frank said as he look at Elise with pleading eyes.

"It's her privacy so just let her be." Eldrin said as he look at Frank.

"Hmmp! It's better when you don't speak!" Frank was annoyed by that. All he wants to know is her skill and yet Eldrin makes him like a bad guy.

"Just say that you're a bad guy. You're trying to know the skill so you can counterattack my sister someday." Eldrin let a smirk that annoyed the latter.

"You!! You're really annoying! Why don't you just rest in the corner like how you did earlier?" Frank don't want to fight anymore and just turn to go towards Carl.

"May I ask?" Sofia suddenly want to ask since the seed said something that is quite amazing.

"Me? You want to ask me? Then what is it?" Frank, being asked upon, felt excited.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Sofia suddenly blurted words that make Elise laugh silently.

"Eh? Wh.. why are you asking me that kind of question?" Frank was surprised and get shy.

"I just want to know. Nothing particular about that." Sofia said calmly.

"No. I don't have any interest as of now." Frank said as he look at Sofia cautiously.

"I see, then what about you Elise? Do you have a... Wait... You can't be liking that someone? I am not the one who ask but I can't say it." Sofia said as she let a confused look. It seems her message is unclear.

"Hmm... That someone behind you is really knowledgeable and talented. But I won't give you my answer." Elise said as she let a beautiful smile.

"How about you? Do you have a lover?" Sofia then turned towards Eldrin.

"Uhm.. I'm kinda embarrassed but yeah." Eldrin said as he scratch his head.

Elise and Frank can't help but turn to look at him.

"Hahaha... What a liar." Frank said as he let a laugh.

"Eh, Brother, do you have one?" Elise was never been surprised as this.

"Yeah, already been a year." Eldrin want to hide and don't want to answer question anymore since it's kinda awkward.

"What?! Is.. it really true? Hahaha, you're good at hiding then. What an unfortunate girl." Frank teased Eldrin as he let a smile.

"I see. Then you must not do any interaction with her in a year or else she will die. You're about to reach the bottleneck so such intimacy can trigger your insight." Sofia said to Eldrin as she let a 'I already know' smile.

"Then.. thanks." Eldrin look at Sofia while nodding.

"Sister Sofia, why are asking such question all of a sudden?" Icy asked Sofia curiously.

"Actually, it is not me but the one behind me. It says that it can know whether someone is telling the truth or not. And it seems that everyone is telling the truth." Sofia said while slapping the hand that play her waist.

"Ah, I see. Then why didn't you ask me?" Icy was the only one who didn't get asked, that's why she wants to know.

"Well, because you're Carl's sister so I don't need to get wary of you." Sofia said as she glared at Carl who continue to tease her.

The six people continue their chat as they let the sun sets slowly.
