Centuries prior, the Gods blessed this world with their magical powers, granting their abilities to everyone born from their lineage. Luckily, everyone is descended from a deity, but unfortunately, their power wanes with each generation, until the modern day, where the young generations cannot hope to become powerful. Lua Moonsilver is one of these younger generations. He is a Tinkerer descended from the God of Machines, and is very weak compared to his ancestors. He was destined to live out his days making toys. By unknown circumstances, Lua encounters a gem in a forest, that gets him into contact with one of these ancient Gods. He learns about the secret of evolution, granting him the priceless knowledge to become stronger.

In the brighter than usual training area, a sweaty Nacht and mentally exhausted Arc were practicing combat against each other. Despite using their utmost abilities, they had been stuck in a stalemate.

Arc had upgraded specific components of his body to better suit his ability set. As such, he had been able to keep up with Nacht, who was much more competent and experienced than him. But, for some reason, Arc could tell that Nacht was behaving rather strangely today.

"Is there something on your mind?" He asked while blocking the incoming hits from Nacht. As his mentor, he felt personally responsible for whatever was bothering Nacht.

After swinging three more hits like this, he gradually slowed down as if he was processing the question. He then looked up to Arc, who had been focused on reading Nacht's facial expressions. Afterwards, he stopped his barrage and replied:
