Chapter 46: House of the Youngest Three Pigs

After that ordeal, Lily contemplated many things. When she used to live in Gungai City, there was only violence, and it was common knowledge that a woman cannot defend against a man of a bigger size.

But here she learned something new. She could see Alex walking and talking to Ain without a care in the world.

'Those two… they are the strange ones. They see this whole situation as normal, both are already adaptive to their new life.' Contemplates Lily, her face crumbles at that a little. She is dissatisfied with her progress, Alex who is a year younger than her has already advanced so much.

But by other people's standards, her progress would also be considered monstrous and seen only once a century. But she is comparing herself to Alex, someone whose knowledge of the world wouldn't be considered 2nd to any human.

"Well, I don't know about the system in place in the magic city. But, the people who try to betray her, letting them live as long as they are useful doesn't seem like a good thing." Says Ain. *sigh* "I don't know what the Headmistress is even thinking."

Alex shrugs. "Well, not like they can do anything to her."

"I dunno, she just seems kinda arrogant." Huffs Ain.

"Wow, how the hell did you live so long talking about the Headmistress like that?" Sighs Alex, he doesn't mind talking about the Headmistress when away from Magic City, he knows that she won't kill him now just for some petty insult. Though he still won't insult someone like her.

"Well, I would contribute that to my charming personality." Says Ain with a devious smirk on her face

"Charming? You?" Questions Alex mockingly.

"..."

"..."

"You are kind of a d*ck." Says Ain, not caring about insulting the six-year-old Alex. "At this rate, you will never be able to find a girl."

She leans a little and pokes Alex's cheek as she says that.

He gets annoyed at that and says. "I am six years old, you are in your late forties. I worry more about you having no boyfriend."

"Forties?!! I am not that old!! Wait, do I look that old!!" Ain has a panicked look on the outside as she asks things like this.

"Also what do you know kid?! I am just waiting for the right guy, I can find a boyfriend whenever I want." Says Ain in a haughty manner, making a joke at Alex's words.

"You mean the guy would be okay with a plain-looking girl like you." Says Alex, making Ain stagger with his words.

"You are really mean~" she complained, ruffling Alex's hair.

He smiles at her. "Don't worry, I am sure that you will find the one right for you."

...

Lily sighs as she sees them acting like this, though she is only seven years old. She feels more like an adult sometimes… because Ain is too childish and Alex can't be bothered to act anything but childish most of the time.

'These two, they are so troublesome.' Complains Lily internally, but on the outside, she keeps a cool look on her face.

Alex is completely nonchalant as a group of goblins seems to be observing them from over a hundred meters away. He whistles casually and over thirty magic circles appear above him, all of them of the wind element.

<Wind Arrow Barrage>

Fwom!

Immediately all of them set off, and every single one headshots their target, effectively killing the thirty goblins with no problem.

Lily sensed this, and she clenched her hand at this. 'I am too weak, Alex is growing stronger each day.

There are already rumors going around now that Alex will be the successor of the Headmistress, or another soon to come Headmistress. That has terrified a lot of people… especially the ones in power.

The Headmistress has her territory, when Alex becomes Legendary Rank, he will have to also get his own. He won't fight the Headmistress, he will carve out his own… Now the question in everyone's mind is which kingdom will be his playground.

The Headmistress destroyed the Royal Family of a country and took it over, from the shadow she controls all of the territories in the border with the Beast Lands.'

She then looks at Alex and sees him happily singing along with Ain about a random childish song.

On Lily's mind appears the dignified (and scary) appearance of the Headmistress, she can't help but feel a little perturbed by Alex's casual actions. But then she remembers that he is still a kid…

...

One hour passes and Lily looks at Alex weirdly. One hour in the dangerous forests around the academy and not a single monster has approached within a 100-meter vicinity.

"Alex you are too overpowered." Says Ain with a pout. "You are already stronger than me."

"Am I now?" Asks Alex mysteriously. Ain is immediately pulled out of that silly look and gazes at him curiously.

'Did he figure it out?' Wonders Ain, after all, she still doesn't know who Alex used to be.

She could have slipped up something as small as the way she walks and any Legendary Magician worth his intelligence will notice it. A magician must have superb attention to detail, so they notice strange things that no one else would. 'Well, it doesn't matter anyway.'

"Hehehe… I wish, imagine what I could do with four million gold a month!" Exclaims Ain with clear greed in her eyes as she looks at Alex. "Please marry me!!"

Lily looks at her with a disgusted look, she is in her twenties and asking a six-year-old to marry her. That is too weird even for Ain to say.

Alex also looks at Ain weirdly. "So you are a shotacon?"

"Weeellll…" Draws on Ain shamelessly. "Millions of gold can make a woman do a lot of things."

Alex looks at her even with more of a weirded out look on his face. "You are really weird."

"Hey~ studying magic ain't cheap. Power is more important than honor." Says Ain. "Though a man would have to be especially stupid to pay such a high price, and the woman would have to be stupid to settle for a low price."

Alex suddenly smirks as he hears that. "Yeah, that does sound smart. If you feel embarrassed about selling your body, you can just kill the perpetrator once you are strong enough."

"Exactly." Confirms Ain. "But still, it is kind of inefficient though. Rather, I would just keep my purity and make guys think that they have a chance with me and so they will continue to give me gifts… that is way better of a method."

"Wow… you put a lot of thought into this." Wonders Alex, if he didn't have his system, he would probably be fu*king some nobleman's wife behind his back. Unlike a woman who can be a Mage celebrity and get money, and have men give her things. In this time and age as a man he would either have to work in a job... or convince some noblewoman… he will choose the latter any day. It pays way more.

...

They talk about useless things like this while Lily just looks from the sidelines. When the night comes around Lily says. "Okay guys, we should get ready to set camp now."

"Hm?" Ain is confused like she just heard the stupidest thing in her life.

"Bahahahaha…" Alex isn't so polite as he straight out laughs. "Lily, we are Mages… you think we are gonna sleep on the ground and camp, like some Wayne Kingdom warrior?"

"Ouf~ actually true." Says Ain. "The Wayne Kingdom warriors are annoying as hell."

"Annoying how?" Wonders Lily.

Ain looks at her with a pitying look in her eyes. "You will see when we meet them."

Alex smirks at that, the players back in the game used to have so much fun playing in the Wayne Kingdom. He even remembers when he had another game character that joined the Young Master Sect, a Player Clan in which all the members acted like as*holes. Harassing any other player who didn't have someone as part of the clan. Especially the new starters.

...

As evening comes around, Ain takes out a small necklace and it has a miniature brick house hanging from it.

Ain puts a little Mana in it and smiles as she throws it on the ground.

Fwish!

Immediately a bright light resonates and the house transforms into a moderately sized two-story house.

Lily looked at this with amazement, while Alex was curious. He remembers this artifact from in the game, it used to be part of one of the Heroes in the future. More correctly, a Wayne Kingdom princess that is yet to be born.

He is 100% sure by now that Ain isn't that princess. And he doesn't know how the princess got her hands in this artifact. But the artifact is called

<Younger Pig Brother's Brick House>

An artifact that can be carried easily, it has the effect of a storage artifact, but it can also act as a house/shelter, and its defenses are known to be phenomenal. It can handle average Rank 4 Spells a couple of times.

...

As they enter the house, it is quite cozy and the fireplace is turned on, radiating a heat that is pleasant to the body.

"Welcome to my house~" Says Ain as she gazes at Alex with a mischievous look in her eyes.

But Alex already saw what she planned to do and he turns himself invisible while creating an illusionary phantom of himself. His real body sits on the couch and makes himself at home as he pulls out some snacks from his storage bag, that one bag cost him over one million Gold Coins, and it only has the space of around 5m³.

He looks at Ain's home and can't help but think. 'It would be nice if I got this artifact.'

These special artifacts are all expensive as hell since only Legendary Mages with the Life Class- Magic Item Maker can make these things.

He sees a pan gets dropped in his illusionary self and he sighs. Ain truly is childish. His illusion dispels itself and he looks at the oldest person in the room looking at him surprised.

"What?" Asks Alex. "Don't act like you didn't notice me."

Ain shrugs, while Lily goes to take off some of her clothes, staying in just hot pants and a tank top. She then flops on one of the couches as the kitchen turns on by itself and starts cooking.

"You know, you are awfully relaxed for being in someone else's home." Pouts Ain.

Alex just nudges to the side and pats the place in front of him. "You can come and lie down here."

"Nah, I ain't gonna act weird with a kid like you."

Alex raises an eyebrow at the situation. "What are you talking about?"

He acts completely oblivious, but then like he realizes what is going on, his eyes widen. "You really have a dark mind… pervert."

She shrugs off the insinuating without any problem. But in the end, Ain still looks at Alex pointedly. 'He is on to me. Already he has suspected many things and wasn't surprised at all at the sight of my <Younger Pig Brother's Brick House> Artifact.'

Still, Ain does a couple of suggestive stretches and says. "Alex, after this what do you plan to do next?"

"Hmmm…" Alex acts like he is thinking and in the end says. "I have gotten some info in a dungeon nearby."

"Really, whose dungeon?"

Alex smirks as he hears about that. "Well obviously… The Dream Mage's Dungeon."

For the first time in decades… Julie, The Headmistress was shocked and wasn't playing a character anymore. The look of shock that appears on Ain's face, expresses Julie's true feelings.

============

A/N: They are all getting closer, well Lily is for real. But Alex and Ain are playing games behind each other's backs.
