Chapter 42 : Cafeteria

At a separate area nearest to the cafeteria, a certain fellow sat alone on a chair and placed his legs on another, he rested his head on the wall while his eyes were shut, his breathing was slow, calm and steady... it is as if he isn't breathing at all. Another figure could seen (female figure) walking towards the sitting fellow, looking to the side someone else could be seen sitting not too far from the sitting fellow.

"Hey you there, you're Bright Kelvin right? the newly arrived figure asked but after waiting for few seconds there wasn't an answer.

"Hey didn't you hear me or his he dead?" the figure asked

" He has been sitting there alone for a while now, maybe you should tap him and see if he will answer" the other figure said

The standing figure decided to tap the sitting fellow, when he suddenly speak.

"Just state what you want, you don't have to touch me" the fellow known as Bright said without opening his eyes.

"Hmm...your attention is needed at the 12 story, I was asked to inform you to go there right now" the figure said

"What could he have done to be called to the 12 story, have he stepped on their toes there? " the sitting figure thought

"Did they tell you why my attention is being needed?" Bright questioned with his eyes still shut.

"Nope they didn't"

"Alright" getting up on his feet, Bright prepared to go to the 12 story, but before that he looked back at the chair he was sitting on and turned away to leave.

"Do you think he caused any trouble for him to be needed?" the other sitting figure asked

" I don't really know, I'm also baffled" the standing figure replied and also left.

"Such a loner, why did he separate himself from everyone, does he feel so special? " Brook said while moving to where Bright was previously seated. When he got to the chair and wanted to sit, he felt a force push him lightly away.

"What was that?" he tried seating again and the same thing happened, he tried continuously and same thing repeated itself.

"What has he done to the chairs(smirk), you leave me no choice but to get rid of them..... if I can't sit on them , neither will you" raising his hands blue lightning formed and curled around it, he swung his hand in a downward arch, aiming to divide the chairs in two..... before his attack could hit, a golden barrier emerge and shield the chairs from the attack.

"Really, i see you really don't want anyone sitting on this chair, then I'll just show you the power of a rare gen, i want to see the expression you make when you see your precious idle chair being destroyed" Brook muttered with a smile.

Letting is aura lose a bit, he pointed his hand straight aiming the chairs, lightning coaxed and run above his arm, he controlled it and made it converge on his finger which was pointed as a gun....

'Boom' 💥

An explosion occurred which drew the attention of everyone in the surrounding.

"What was that?"

"Who are those fighting near the cafeteria? "

" What the hell, did he just attacked a chair? "

" Hahaha.... so so ridiculous, he actually attacked a chair, a mere chair, what a shame"

"Are you sure that's a mere chair? "

" What do you mean? "

" Look the chair is safe and there is even a barrier protecting it"

this were the conversations going on at the background.

"Wow, you survived it, then i just need to pour more energy" Brook smirked. His aura exploded outward and a surge of dense energy surround him, he controlled everything and Sparks of lightning could be seen rushing around, he struggled to make them stay calm. "Jeez....just be in order already, why are you so hard to control" Brook clenched his teeth while trying hard to control the energy so it won't spread out.

"Okay I'm done here" he frowned and controlled everything to one point(his fingers).

Sensing the energy being used in the incoming attack, the barrier shown with a bright light having a tint of gold, Brook released his attack making his fingers explode due to the energy being used on them.

'BOOM!!! "💥💥💥

A loud explosion which shook the area.....cracks spread from the place of impact and ripples flew everywhere, the explosion caught the attention of the gaurds patrolling the area.

When everything calmed down and the dust begin to clear, they all could see that part of the building behind the chairs has crumbled, they ground that surrounded the chair has been cracked. But something made everyone surprised...the wall which the chair facing Brook rest on wasn't destroyed, likewise nothing happened to the floor, now staring at the target itself, nothing happened to it, it was still good as new.

"Really...is that it, are you trying to tell me that a special student can't destroy an ordinary chair? Hahaha what a shame" a figure dressed in the same purple and white outfit as Brook.

"Dason, don't start now, if you wanna mock me, just try to get rid of this annoying chair" Brook said without turning back to look at Dason.

" Oh you really want me to go about attacking a chair? Seriously even if you want to look down on me, do so when you get your dignity back" Dason respond

"Dignity, who took my dignity, see if you ain't gonna do it then leave it, I'll continue trying" Brook said.

"Just tell me to beg you, you don't need to be proud and pompous you know" Dason respond with a smirk. "let's get this done with already"

Rubbing his hands together, Dason claps his hands and immediately a mini axe appeared on the air, swinging his hands down, the axe cut cleanly through the air and tried to cleave the chairs into pieces, almost immediately the barrier rised and block the attack making the axe slide off.

"Wow that's great, which means you aren't an ordinary chair" he smiled and raised his hand this time high, a huge axe appeared on his hand, gripping it with his two hands, he swung it at the barrier..

the barrier made an humming sound after the impact, but nothing happened, the axe slide off the barrier.

"interesting, i guess I've to improvise" his energy was released outward, he created a spear, with the tip so sharp and glittering. He took a step backward and threw the spear with force straight at the barrier.

'Bang'

The barrier shook with the impact and that was all. "What, how can this barrier still stand, what has this guy done, or are the chairs made from beasts crystals? " Dason muttered

"So you can't get rid of it after all" Brook voiced out

"What do you guys think you're doing? " a calm feminine voice asked. Turning around the duo could see Rina and Andy staring intently at them.

"What are the two most beautiful girls in the first year doing out here? " Dason questioned while ignoring the other question.

"That wasn't the question you were being asked, take a look around you and see the result of your foolishness" Rina said with a calm voice but with a slight hint of anger.

"You miscreants didn't even consider the students around, you just choose to do something dumb ugh" Andy voiced out, her smile not leaving her face.

"So what do you want to do about that? " Brook questioned and stepped forward.

Raising his hand and stopping Brook on his track. "you don't want to get on their bad side do you? Even though they are beautiful they aren't to be messed with, we both know that" Dason said." Hey pretties, what are you both doing out here, more so in an area like this? "

"Do u mind telling us the reason behind your actions or we get it out of you ourselves" Rina said

" Is that a threat? " Brook asked with anger building in him

"I don't have a reason to threaten you both, I'm just saying " she replied

"Okay pretties, you don't have to really get involved in this you know, just be on your way" Dason said with a smile.

"That's not until you leave this vicinity, else....we will have no choice but clean the mess with you guys" Andy voiced out and immediately the temperature in the surrounding dropped, showing how serious she meant her words even though her face was still full of smiles.

"Is that it, you really want to fight us, alright we won't back down, don't forget we aren't easy to deal with either" Dason said before putting on a serious face.

"Let's see how he deals with this...

Bright stood right in front of the 12 stories, he looked up and surveyed the surrounding before proceeding to go in. He entered into an elevator and touched the number 12 on the side of the elevator. The elevator made a sound before moving upward with speed.

He walked out of the elevator and could see a big double entrance doors opposite the elevator, he walked there and knocked twice as the instruction pasted on the side of the wall.

"Come in" a voice came from the other side of the door.

Bright pushed the door open and went in, he entered a large office, with a semicircle table at the centre, each seat was occupied by twelve people.

"Hello, good afternoon" Bright greeted

"At least he knows he was suppose to greet" a woman said

"Welcome Bright correct? Thanks for heeding our call" the man seating at the centre of the twelve chairs said, he was dressed in black suite, white inner shirt, a pointed shoe and a black glass.

"Why do you seek my attention?" Bright asked straight to the point.

"We have something important we want you to know" the man said

"What could that be?" Bright questioned

"It's a proposal" the man stated

"Go on already, i don't have much time to waste here" Bright urged the man.

"You young kids tend to lack patience... well, we want you to join our special student in their special class and in turn you'll swear your loyalty to the 12 high echelons of the 12 stories, that's all" the man said

There was silence for a second before Bright gave his answer. "I'm not interested, thank you" he then turned his back and started walking away.

"YOU BASTARD, HOW DARE YOU WALK OUT ON US!!!" one of the echelon's stood up angrily and threw the pen he was holding straight at Bright. The pen was thrown with intense speed that almost touched it's target immediately it left it's attacker's hand, Bright quickly bent to the side while avoiding the pen by luck, but his cheep was lucky, the pen scratched his cheek before continuing forward and break to pieces after hitting the door with force.

"That was great, trying to take me down ugh" Bright said while turning back to face them."That was a close call, if one of them is that strong, i can't possibly come out of this if they decided to attack me together, this is bad"he thought.

"You all calm down, Steph sit down, he just need some time to think about it, give him time. " the man at the centre said. "And you Bright, think about the benefits that you'll get once you choose to become a special candidate, don't forget that if anybody is being giving this opportunity, they wouldn't hesitate to jump at it"

"Thank you very much but i must decline, I'm not ready to swear loyalty to anyone or be controlled by anyone" Bright relaxed and replied

"Hmm, i see....you know your ability is still new to you, we can help you build it and bring out something strong from you with the help of the special classes...aren't you going to rethink this? " the man said in a convincing tone.

"Yeah i understand, but as you said my ability is new to me and I can say the same to you guys, that's why it will be great if I bring out the full potential of my ability on my own, any other help with just make me diminish" Bright stated and turned to leave this time albeit quickly. He slammed the door right behind his back and began to move straight to the elevator.

"Such chutzpah, shouldn't we just force him and try to know what ability he holds?" Steph said

"Let him go, the kid is interesting, we can't force him here, let's just watch how he grows...and by the way, what's going on out there? " the black suite man questioned while he fixated his eyes on the screen I'm the room.

"What the...re this kid insane, why will they do this in a crowdy area? " Steph went into orbit after seeing the destruction that has been caused near the cafeteria.

"Hmm, i guess he is headed there, let's see how he deals with this" the black suite man said with a smile.

Everyone turned their eyes at the screen which displayed Bright, who was going to that exact location where the commotion is taking place.
