The Forgotten S Class Hero

Fire fills the fields around Haru and the demon lords left hand, one of his strongest demons to have by his side. The two of them have been locked in battle for a little while now, creating shockwaves with each blow. "Fighting against me is useless, heroes won't change anything that's happening. Just die for me here and at least maybe you can have a story passed on." The Demon says with a smirk behind his mask. "People will be safe once we deal with all of you." Haru responds back with a confident tone and a serious expression on his face. The battle continues for a while longer before Haru finally beats him, but at a cost. "No one expected you to win but there was a contingency plan. You won't be remembered by anyone, everything about you will be gone. hahaha." The Demon laughs after saying what he needed to. A sharp pain goes through his head as the demon dies on the ground before him. "A curse? What kind of bullshit is that." Haru says with a bit of anger in his voice. How will he deal with this curse? Did everyone really forget about him, is this a good thing? This story will be looking towards daily updates. I look forward to the support of those who read! I hope you enjoy. Thiel

"Kill him!" The Man with a gruff voice shouts.

It doesn't take very much for Haru to quickly deal with them since he had fought against demons and one of the demon lords best generals.

Blocking the first bandits attack and then swiftly slicing his throat it was made abundantly clear the difference in skill.

Nonetheless they kept up the attack and began to fall one by one till the last one which had the crossbow had remained.

"You want to die like them? Well I don't really do the whole mercy thing for people like you I guess." Haru says while walking towards him.

He was shaking before me after witnessing the death of his comrades but yet he still was aiming his crossbow at me. Fear but yet he still wants to fight, at least that I can give a little respect to.

Demons would run from me so that's why I can say that. But like the others his death was quick and instant, a slice to the throat within an instance while his bolt flew past me.

So now I continue on with them all dealt with.

Bodies of bandits left behind where I last laid down to rest. I didn't think it'd take very long considering the skill gap between that of a hero and a standard adventurer.

Bandits usually get wiped out by adventurers most of the time to begin with unless they outnumber them by a lot.

Towards the great town of Thiel.

Finally arriving at Thiel, Haru was greeted by the great architecture of the town itself. Most of it was inspired by the elves that they had shared scrolls with.

Leading to more advanced looking homes with nicer touches than towns like Zianna where people added a new style to the buildings.

But most came for the great library of Thiel where all the books, scrolls, and old mages usually stayed. People didn't really roam around the streets all that much here but it wasn't always a bad thing.

Most just stayed inside the inn or the library brushing up on the things they could teach those who came into the town itself.

I haven't been to Thiel in a long time but it was a lot different back then compared to what it is now. Shuji really did come from a nice town but I wonder if he'd ever come back to it.

Typically most of the heroes stay away to keep those close to them safe but I made the mistake of going back home before. It resulted in something I never wanted for my sister.

Not that it matters, she probably thinks I'm dead or maybe she's forgotten about me like all the others out there.

Suddenly someone had interrupted Haru's thoughts, a woman who seemed to want to speak to him. She was wearing knight armor with royal garbs wrapped around them. But what really stood out was her red hair, the one horn on her head, and her red eyes.

I don't know if my eyes are deceiving me but this woman resembles that of a demon and I feel as if I should draw my sword but yet something is telling me not to.

"I didn't expect to see an adventurer coming back to Thiel any time soon." The woman says while looking me up and down.

She seemed to be intrigued by me in some way but I'm not sure I'm interested, the demon appearance she has is what bothers me.

"Just need to brush up on some stuff. Great talk though." Haru responded while keeping his hand on his hilt.

Leave the sword sheathed and avoid any sort of issues, if she is a demon it could cause issues. Most hide their appearance if they are doing work in towns usually but hers is in the wide open.

But maybe she is a spy of the demon lord, something I can't risk.

"Hmm, no need to rush. You seem interesting, we should talk a bit." The Woman suggests while walking beside me.

Doesn't seem like I'll be shaking her any time soon so it's time to play along for the time being.

"Sure. Though I don't intend to be here long." Haru replies while heading towards the library.

"That's fine. I don't either. My name is Furuya Mai. Though I'll allow you to just call me Mai." She says with a bit of excitement in her voice.

"Haru. You can call me Haru." Haru responds back with a calm tone behind his voice.

I won't give my full name just in case the demon lord has me on the list like the other heroes but maybe I can learn some stuff from her.

Most of the time demons are killed without hesitation by me or the other heroes but she has something different going on here. Almost as if she is harmless.

Haru made his way into the library with the woman known as Furuya Mai. Taking some time to go through certain books before taking a seat.

The two sat in silence for the first hour while both read through the books they gathered until it broke once more.

"You must think of me as some monster right? I assure you that I'm not a full demon." Mai speaks up.

Being that bold in a room like this where mages sit most of the time, I'm shocked. Though I could easily kill her myself if I needed to.

"I thought you could be one but you said something interesting there, not a full demon? What do you mean?" Haru questions while looking up from his book.

Half demons are something I've not heard much about since they don't usually survive if they are found out about.

"I'm half human and half demon. But I hate them as much as the rest of the world. No one likes to believe it but I used to be part of the royal guard." Mai answers as a serious expression forms on her face.

The room was lightly lit with not much noise being made, other than the two of them conversing quietly. The mages who were there didn't even bat an eye their direction.

"That is definitely interesting. Maybe you should've been a hero instead." Haru says while looking back at the book.
