Back in the present, I'm on my daily hunt. (Night hunt sounds better.) I hunt in the nighttime, it's easier. Tonight, I'm in a forest in the north. It isn't an elven forest. (Not that I care anyway.)
Why I'm in the north? More population more preys. But I'm not alone (Not even in my dreams...) since I've freed myself. The Saintess herself. She escaped my claws once, but I found her by chance, and that was it.
Over the months we have been together, I have found her presence quite calming. (My bloodlust has grown to an alarming state. Being tortured for nine years is not something nice. Even for a god.) She more or less stops me from killing without necessity.
Even though it pains me to say, she is far stronger than me. But even so, she decided to 'help' me for the time being. (She wants me to get stronger so that I can destroy the Temple for her. I don't mind, the Cardinals and the Pope must have delicious life forces.)
Her power to manipulate time reached the apostle level. Nieuni, the demigod of time, even offered her a contract. I convinced her to it turn down, however. (The less I'm involved with them, the better. If they find out that a mortal carries divine essence on its soul...)
We were walking in the dark with illusion spells cast on us. My red suit is a little dirty, but nothing a good wash wouldn't resolve. She is wearing a black shirt and pants. The Saint Robe is hidden by magic. Her feet are covered with some black cloth.
I stop, and I turn my head to her. She stops too. I look at her in the eyes. "I was just remembering the past. You changed a lot, didn't you?" She widened her eyes. "Okay...?" (Hehe, I love this side of her. She is always wary of me.)
She had short ocean blue hair that she never combed. A messy hair, in short words. Now, she had a long blue-greenish hair, that she combs every day, just to do a ponytail at the end. Her eyes changed color too. It turned the same blue-greenish color, but a little whiter.
Her features also matured, transforming the beautiful girl into a woman that could stop a war with just her looks. "Don't mind it, I need to eat." She remains staring at me, extremely wary. I turn around. "I feel a good flow of mana from there." I point to my right.
I start walking again, and after five steps, she follows me. We don't usually chat with each other, mostly because she doesn't want to anger me, and because I don't talk to her. (I'm a god to her, so even if I question her, she answers me with an evasive answer or doesn't even answer at all.)
We walk for over an hour. In the distance, I see a city. As usual, she teleports away. With a deep breath, I smile and step forward. (Yeah, this is the place~)
