John returned to Leicester feeling good about the deal.

'This is just the start though.' John thought to himself.

In the upcoming weeks, an extensive search for the new Leicester manager started. Rob Kelly's contract was expiring in the summer and it won't be renewed because even though he had a good tactical mind, he had no other qualities that were required of a good manager.

While the search for the new manager was ongoing, the league continued. After the win against Derby, Leicester players' morale was high.

'Leicester survive the relegation battle to finish 17th' John read the headline of the Leicester Mercury while on his way to the Walkers Stadium. John proceeded to read the rest of the article, 'After the win against Derby, the Foxes went on a run that saw them pick up 11 points from the last 6 games, with their only loss coming against 5th place Wolverhampton Wanderers.'

John remembered the scenes of celebration on the day Leicester defeated Birmingham City 2-1 to mathematically avoid relegation. The fans were ecstatic to finally escape the relegation. They were chanting Robert Kelly's name after the win.

'Today is going to be difficult', John thought while continuing to read the newspaper.

'Matty Fryatt and Iain Hume combined to score 7 goals in the last 6 matches with Fryatt finding the back of the net 5 times. Joe Mattock was another find among the academy graduates of Leicester after James Wesolowski and picked up 3 assists including the assist against Derby.'

John put the newspaper down and started preparing himself for the hell he was going to face today. Today was another press conference he had to attend where he will announce the change in management of the club with Michael and Sean taking their offices. Michael and Sean were already present at the stadium. Michael had just arrived from Portsmouth today and Sean had went to pick him up.

That wasn't a problem though. The problem was that he had to announce that Manager Rob Kelly won't be continuing with Leicester. After the results he produced in the last few weeks, the fans were clamoring that Kelly be given an extension.

John knew that even though Kelly saved Leicester from relegation, he wasn't a very good manager. Even in his memories from the last life, there wasn't anything about Kelly after he left Leicester. So John was resolved to not extend him even if he would have to face some backlash from the fans.

John was thinking about that when he reached the Walkers stadium. John then went straight to his office. In his office, Michael and Sean were already waiting for him.

"Hello, Michael. I would like to welcome you to Leicester." John welcomed Michael while shaking his hand.

"I am happy to be here, John." Michael replied enthusiastically.

"I would like to talk to you further, but we have a press conference to attend. Are you ready?" John asked Michael.

"I've never been in front of media, answering questions before this." Michael said somewhat apprenhensively.

"Don't worry, you'll get used to this." John lied with as much confidence as he can muster but he could see it was working as Michael looked slightly more relaxed than before.

"Let's go" John said as they left for the press conference room, ready to face whatever was thrown at them.

As they entered the press conference room, John found that all the reporters were already present. With them entering the room, all the chatter died down as they took their seat. All the gazes fell on Michael as by this time John and Sean were already quite famous. John was the boss who would attend every game and Sean was the lawyer who was always with John. Michael was the unknown guy and obviously the target of reporter's scrutiny.

The reporters were waiting to ask questions about the new guy when John knocked on his mic to attract everyone's attention towards him.

"Before starting the press conference,I am glad to announce the appointment of Mr. Sean Murtough as the new financial director of the club." John said as the reporters were looking at him.

This generated a few murmurs but it wasn't that surprising, it had already been speculated by the reporters.

John waited for the murmurs to quiet down before continuing, "and Mr. Michael Edwards as the new sporting director of the Foxes."

This news was like a bomb was dropped. None of the reporters present even knew who Michael Edwards was. Some of the reporters even started asking their colleagues if anyone knew who he was.

John was happy to catch them off guard and he pressed his advantage and said, "You can begin asking questions now."
