After pulling out the [Citadel Guard], Gret looked for another defensive skill of lower levels. After doing it for several minutes, he stopped. Gret couldn't find any skill impressive enough to go for higher levels and finally choose at the end.

It wasn't that there were terrible skills in the store. It had to do with Gret's exclusive mindset. He wanted his second skill to be on par with the first one he picked, and it was easier to think about it than do it.

Pulling out the skill cards also depended on luck, and his chances clearly weren't working for him. The skill [Citadel Guard] wasn't even in the top twenty of the skills available for the Lesser God level cultivators, which wasn't an upgrade of skills for low-level cultivators or a downgrade of skills for top level cultivators.
