Their Dead

The teacher rapidly turned his face to me cracking his neck. He was staring into my horrified eyes. I have never seen somebody kill another person. I mean, I have seen documentaries about killers, and they didn’t scare me at all. He shifted his body to be facing me, and surprisingly his head didn’t move at all. He had a fiery look in his eyes, almost like he was being controlled by something or someone. He looked into my eyes and opened his mouth to say something. “Lexi can you go stand over there,” he whispered loud enough for me to hear.

He pointed towards the direction he killed Keon in. There was a big puddle of blood, and Keon’s blood was lying beside it. I slowly stood up and walked over there, afraid of what might happen next. The next thing I knew was that I was standing 1 foot away from the puddle. I looked at the teacher and saw that he had a creepy smile on his face. It almost looked like he had his smile stitched like a doll. “What are you waiting for? Stand in the middle of the puddle,” he sobbed in desperation. It’s almost like he enjoys watching people suffer.

I stepped on the pile, immediately feeling disgusted and dizzy. The blood started soaking the bottom of my shoes. When I was in the middle of the puddle, I looked over to my side to see Keon with his mouth open. I could see spiders and bugs crawling in and out of his mouth. His eyes were rolled back, and you could see nothing but whiteness in them. I decided to stop looking at him because I got more and more scared the longer I look at him. That could happen to me.

I could see Alijah, Mia, Arlette, and Gissell looking intently with no expression on their face. They were just staring with no emotion. I heard the teacher looking for something in his desk drawer. I turned around to look and I saw that he pulled out a pistol. I widened my eyes knowing that I might die today. He started putting bullets in the pistol and then closing it. A devilish smirk appeared on his face and then he started pointing it to my head. He slowly took the safety off and then looked at me. “This is what is going to happen to your parents,” he stated.

My parents walked into the room. They had blood all over them and they looked weak. They could barely walk. “Mom, Dad,” I cried out. I tried to run to them to hug them but the teacher stopped my tracks. “Don’t move,” He yelled. I looked at him and saw that he pointed the gun at my parents. “Please don’t,” I sobbed. The teacher then looked at me and then proceed to shot at my dad right in his heart. “NOOO,” I cried out. I ran to my dad ignoring my teacher yelling at me to stop.

My dad was helplessly on the floor trying to survive but the only thing was that he couldn’t. He closed his eyes and his body relaxed helplessly on my arms. Tears started forming in my eyes like a waterfall. I just lost my dad because of my actions. It is all my fault. I looked at my teacher with anger in my eyes. I did everything he asked. I didn’t do a single thing today to deserve this. Neither did my parents. I didn’t even lay a hair on someone today. It was all just a misunderstanding or done purposely.

I carefully took my dad out of my arms and stood up from where I was. I have so much anger and sadness built inside of me which I could practically punch someone in the face right at this moment. That’s when I saw my teacher once again. He was just there laughing at me. It was almost like he was asking to get hit. I made my hand into a fist tightly and started running towards the teacher. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. He grabbed the gun again and pointed at my mom.

I froze once he held her at gunpoint. I have already lost my dad and I don’t want to lose my mom. I just backed away from the teacher. The good thing is that the safety was still on. He looked at Alijah and walked towards her. I am confused on why he gave the gun to Alijah until he told her briefly to shot my mom or the same thing will happen to her parents. Alijah sat there in shock until she finally gave in and stood up. He looked at the gun and then at me giving me an apologetic face.

“Alijah whatever you are thinking please don’t do it,” I cried out. She looked at the gun like she had no choice but to do it. A small tear came out of her eye which then she pointed the gun at my mom. My mom looked scared knowing she was going to die at that instant. She even closed her eyes because she didn’t want to see anything. What broke my heart was that I heard small whimperings and sobs escaping her mouth because of me. I just want to jump and take the shot. That’s what I should do.

Alijah took the safety out and was prepared to shoot. Meanwhile, I was preparing to take the shoot even if it meant killing me. I hope it does. She pulled the trigger which caused me to jump. I felt a sharp pain go through my chest making me bleed a lot. I fell to the floor in immense pain I was feeling. That’s when I realized that the bullet went through. I looked back quickly and saw that it hit my mom too. I started to cry at the sight that I lost my mom too and I’m going to lose myself too.

My mom wasn’t bleeding as much as I was. There is a chance she might survive the impact she received. On the other hand, I wasn’t as lucky. Blood was pouring out of both sides. I laid down to prepare myself to die but the only thing was that I wasn’t. I suddenly stopped bleeding and the pain was going away. I surprisingly stood up quickly in shock. How could that happen? I looked at everyone and they were just staring at me with no expression on their face. What is happening?

I looked at my mom with tears still rolling down my face. I am confused. My mom was doing the same thing as others. A pale face with nothing in their eyes. Just there staring into my soul. At this point, I was going crazy. What have I done to the teacher to make such a thing? Nothing at all. It was all coming to an end. My parents will die and everyone would hate me. At least only the people in this room. Unless it travels all across hell. “I didn’t do anything,” I sobbed softly. It was just a mistake, I thought to myself.

“It wasn’t, It was all your fault,” My dad said standing up. I turned around quickly not believing my eyes. What is happening right now? He was just there and he now somehow came back to life. Everybody stood up even Keon. Is he really not dead? They all approached me going around me. The teacher pushed me to the ground where Keon’s puddle of blood was. I looked at my hand seeing that it was all coated in blood making me disgusted. I looked back up seeing that they have all crouched looking at me awkwardly.

“Lexi wake up,” they all chanted. What is going on? I tried to back away from them but I bumped into Gissell causing her to push me back in the middle of the circle where they were. They started repeating those words until I lost it and screamed at the top of my lungs. All of a sudden I opened my eyes and I was in the dorm. I was breathing heavily and even shaking. I saw Alijah standing beside me. “Finally, I tried to wake you up,” she exclaimed. I sat up and I had a slight headache.

Alijah threw a hair tie at me and yelled in the nicest way possible, “Get ready fast because it is almost time for breakfast and I’m hungry. She then opened the dorm room and yelled that she was going to save me a seat snd then ran off. Meanwhile, I was sitting on the bed wondering what just happened in my dream. Good thing it was all just a nightmare but something felt wrong. It didn’t feel like a dream. I felt everything. I leaned to the front and that’s when I felt a wincing pain in my chest.
