"Are we seriously having this conversation?" I heard his disheartened reply.

I wanted to stare straight into his oceanic orbs, and confess to him about my own messed up feelings. I wanted to tell him how much I liked him. But I knew that it would only make things more complicated than they needed to be at the moment.

Hence, I chose to gulp them down, keeping them locked in my heart with the hopes that one day, I will get the chance to share them with him.

"Yes, we are." I added, keeping my eyes locked on my own fingers which were twisted around each other.

"B-but why?" He asked me. His question was valid. We really didn't have to have this conversation, but some things were required to be done for the sake of others, and this conversation was one of those things.
