The Empoyee

"How might you please me, Miss Parker?" "How would you want me, Mr. Holden?" I should stop. It was only a tease I had mindlessly put up, hoping to get a longer moment with him, listening to whatever I had to say, but apparently, he was a persistent young man, one who would get to the end of every matter started. "I'm only scared we don't speak of the same thing here" He followed. "Oh, I very much follow, Mr Holden" "Here's the thing Miss Parker" He began, figure tearing off the chair, approaching my form. I fretted at his incoming profile, eyes averted away, not daring to meet that striking gaze of his. Even in the calming space, I could feel the burn that rushed to my chest. He had soon pulled up beside my form, eyes peering on at my warded off profile. "I'd like to see how so well you think can please me" He called. "If you manage to have me forget how troublesome the morning has been, then I assure you, the position is all yours" Eyes had snapped up to him at once, gaze beholding the sincerity in those grey eyes. "Also.....He paused for a long minute, figure inching closer.....If you manage to have me aroused........ He drew even nearer, breath so close, it fanned against my neck. "Then you, Miss Janet Parker, will be the company's new marketer to be employed" *** He is a 24 year old heir to his father's company. She is a 28 year old lady, fired from her last job for burning the CEO with hot tea. A fiery one she is, not until she meets a man, who is just intent on breaking her.

"Miss Parker!"

I jolted at the voice that deemed it fit to ruin the peace that had taken a hold of me.

Oh, the calm I had found myself in, now altered by whoever that form was that had now waddled into area.

It was merely five minutes gone that I was found basking in every serenity that came with the office space, mind lost in thoughts, having its own wandering, when that voice came stumbling in, altering a moment that I felt was just irredeemable.

"Miss Parker!"

"What is it, Susy!?"

Believe me I tried my best to remain calm, I pinched myself to, but the incessant call of my name, by a girl whom I had been direct in sending downstairs, to fetch nothing in particular, just to evade her babbles, for as peaceful as five minutes could be, soon got me snapping to her, eyes taking in her form.

She paused at my outpour, eyes shifting through the room for a minute, and at once her eyes lit up, figure pulling closer to mine.

"There are some people downstairs, requesting they see you"

"What are you on about now?"

My voice barely could be made out, as my figure had sunk into the chair, head falling back, while the aches remained eminent all over me.

The utterances of Susy poured out, regardless, figure pacing around the room, while at every word that came out her lips, she was sure to take a pause, having a glance at me, perhaps to see if I was paying any attention to her words.

But I wasn't, I tell you.

I barely could find my own strength, not to talk of the words of a girl who picked every minute to blabber every now and then.

I heard her give a squeal, my eyes taking her form, to understand whatever was up with her, while the utterances went on.

Utterances I barely spared a listen to.

But the one thing I was sure to catch onto was the name that followed, right before she took a stop to catch her breath.

"Louis Vettriano is here to see you"

Gaze snapped up at the break of that utterance.

Eyes growing in size, I gaped on at the form of the girl away, watching that sneaky grin that crept up her lips.

"God so help you, you're pulling my legs, Susy" I rushed the words, form pulling closer to hers.

"Now, why would I do that, Miss Parker?"

"Mr. Vettriano had requested to see you" Sh followed.

"And he isn't making any attempt to leave"

I had dashed out the office, before her last utterance, figure storming through the halls while the thought of why a high-profile man like Louis, would request to see boring ol' Jane.

Was it April yet?

This can't be a prank. Or was it?

I soon got every answer to my question, as my figure stormed into the reception, coming to meet the back of Mr. Holden upon my entrance.

His form had spun around at my burst in, brows furrowed, with those eyes watching as I managed to get myself misconducted.

At the eyes that turned to my figure, I found myself fixing my profile to a better state, eyes gaping at the form of Louis Vettriano stood behind Kristoffer.

Now, don't get me wrong. I had seen Louis Vettriano before, even had conversed with him, but the thought of him coming over requesting to see me, was what got me hyper.

And he had a smile flashed my way!?

"Jane"

He pulled up to me, hands stretched out to take mine.

"A pleasure to see you yet again"

"Perhaps, you would permit me to discuss with you in a private area"

Those words found my jaw dropping, eyes gaping on at him, like a kid would gawk her candy bag.

"How rude of me to interrupt, but Miss Parker here has things to tend to" Kristoffer cleared his throat, eyes shifting from my form to that of Louis.

"Come on, Kristoffer" Louis drawled.

"It would barely take a minute"

"You know it's improper cutting working hours" Came Kristoffer.

"Miss Parker has a lot to report to"

"Not really, Sir" I pitched in. "In fact, I think I'm through every file sent to my desk for the day"

I saw his jaw tighten, eyes held on my form.

The silence that thickened the air between us got me averting my eyes away from his, soon beholding the glee on the face of Mr Vettriano, and at once he had stepped back, making way for me to follow.

"I'll have her back in less than a minute, Kris" Called Mr Vettriano.

"I assure you no harm will come her way" I swear I caught a wink which was directed at Kristoffer, and next followed my figure tagging right behind his, while he led me out the office.
