The Empoyee

"How might you please me, Miss Parker?" "How would you want me, Mr. Holden?" I should stop. It was only a tease I had mindlessly put up, hoping to get a longer moment with him, listening to whatever I had to say, but apparently, he was a persistent young man, one who would get to the end of every matter started. "I'm only scared we don't speak of the same thing here" He followed. "Oh, I very much follow, Mr Holden" "Here's the thing Miss Parker" He began, figure tearing off the chair, approaching my form. I fretted at his incoming profile, eyes averted away, not daring to meet that striking gaze of his. Even in the calming space, I could feel the burn that rushed to my chest. He had soon pulled up beside my form, eyes peering on at my warded off profile. "I'd like to see how so well you think can please me" He called. "If you manage to have me forget how troublesome the morning has been, then I assure you, the position is all yours" Eyes had snapped up to him at once, gaze beholding the sincerity in those grey eyes. "Also.....He paused for a long minute, figure inching closer.....If you manage to have me aroused........ He drew even nearer, breath so close, it fanned against my neck. His gaze remained soft, scanning the space, while a form had soon pulled forward right next to him, arms linked in his, I watched the smile cross her face, while she went on about something.

Maddison.

Kristoffer had pulled backwards, hands motioning for her to go first, and in a minute, they were making their way to a table at an end of the room.

For the love of God! Why were they here?

My figure had sank lower into the seat, hands pulling up to my face, doing everything I could to veil my profile from view.

Diego must have noticed the sudden agitation, as his eyes soon paused at me, laced with concern watching as I shook my head profusely, turning the hair Tara had been nice enough to fix for me right before we stepped away from the apartment, into a large mess.

"What's going on?"

"Nothing!" I called at once, but he had spun around, gaze taking in the forms afar, and right then, at the call of his voice, did I freeze in my seat.

"Kris!"

"Kris!" He yelled louder this time. "Come on, over!"

I could hurry out through the back! Perhaps crawl underneath the table, Jane. A gazillion thoughts filled my mind and at each one, those figures drew even nearer, their approach threatening to have me pass onto the cold grounds, but in a second, stood their forms right before me, the eyes of Kristoffer skipping from the form of Diego to mine, while Maddison still had that smile plastered on her face.

"Jane"

I barely took a glance up at him, eyes centered on the white napkin right in front, trying everything not to meet that gaze.

"You didn't tell me you would be out here, Kristoffer" Diego followed, with all the cheer to be detected in his voice.

"We should make this a double date!" He followed at once, snatching my gaze in a second.

"We don't need to do that!" I tried pitching in, but my words were only drowned by the voice of Diego motioning for a waiter to pull more chairs over, and in less than a minute, I found myself beholding those eyes right before me, with his figure sat on the other side of the table, the form of Maddison right next to his.

"Surprising to find you guys out here!"

Diego chucked beside me.

"Trust me, it is surprising" Came the voice of Kristoffer. His eyes were intent on me, gaze never letting go.

The waiter had pulled up just in time, laying out the orders, before every one of us.

"I think I remember you from the party" The voice of Maddison soon broke out, how soft it was, directed at me.

"Yeah"

"I'm Maddison" She had pulled her hands forward, eyes holding onto mine with lot of delight in that gaze

"Jane"

My voice was low, eyes anywhere but at the figures before me.

"So what do you do, Jane?" She let out, taking a sip out of the cocktail held before her.

"I work as a marketer"

"A marketer?"

She seemed even more surprised than mother was that morning I told her I had snatched my first job as a marketer.

"That's massive, Jane" She followed.

"So, Kristoffer—Diego had covered the space between our forms, with his hands holding mine, he drew so close, it was only a while before for our cheeks would be found touching.

I saw the eyes of Kristoffer shift between our forms, gaze resting on the hold of my hands in Diego's, and in a second, he had looked away, turning to the figures moving around the area.

"Are you and Maddison— He went drawling, with that wide grin tugging at his lips.

"We're not" Followed the voice of Kristoffer in a second. With his eyes away, he bothered not sparing a glance this way.

"Not to lie, you both make a perfect couple" Diego went on.

"I mean come on, Kris. If I were you, I wouldn't make her so available to any other man"

I saw the eyes of Kristoffer narrowed his way, with eyes only staring on at him while he went on.

"She's a beauty to behold"

"Oh, it's not that serious. Really" Maddison gave a chuckle, her eyes turning to Kristoffer.

"It's never nice to pressure a man" She followed.

"Perhaps, Cole has much more pressing issues at hand" She grinned.

Cole?

"I mean we've known each other for a while now, everything will come to play in due time"

"Of course!" Followed the utterance of Diego.

"It's been how many years now?"

"I stopped counting right after high school" Maddison let out, earning a chuckle from an amused Diego who was left pleased with her story.

"Oh, I remember so well how you both would go hide and seeking around his home"

"Don't you have somewhere to be, Diego?" The voice of Kristoffer had soon poured out, eyes intent on the form of his friend.

"It's a Friday night" Followed Diego.

"There's nothing to do"

The silence had soon poured in, with our eyes skipping from one to another.

"Enough of me" Maddison smiled.

"So are you and Jane—

Together?" Diego finished for her, with a wide smile revealing his teeth, while his eyes shifted off her to me.

The scrutiny of Kristoffer was turned away, eyes intent on Maddison, while he listened to her go on.

"We're still figuring each other out" Diego called.

I felt something brush against my thighs, and only when I took a peek low, did I find Diego's hands pulling to my legs.

A grin was sat right on his lips, with eyes focused on Maddison all the while.

"Stop it" My voice was low, eyes intent on me, hoping to snatch his attention, and perhaps put an end to whatever he thought he was doing, but he barely glanced my way, and I still could feel his hands pushing up my thighs.

"Stop it, Diego"

"It's crazy how she's managed to catch me so well"

He ignored my words, fingers trailing around my bare skin, pushing to the opening between my thighs, and right when he tugged at my panties, had I shot to my feet, pushing the table away, while my hands reached for my purse.

"Jane"

I bothered not taking a stop. I hurried away, walking out the premises while the call of his voice trailed along.

I've had enough just for one night. And to think everything was going fine.
