The Empoyee

"How might you please me, Miss Parker?" "How would you want me, Mr. Holden?" I should stop. It was only a tease I had mindlessly put up, hoping to get a longer moment with him, listening to whatever I had to say, but apparently, he was a persistent young man, one who would get to the end of every matter started. "I'm only scared we don't speak of the same thing here" He followed. "Oh, I very much follow, Mr Holden" "Here's the thing Miss Parker" He began, figure tearing off the chair, approaching my form. I fretted at his incoming profile, eyes averted away, not daring to meet that striking gaze of his. Even in the calming space, I could feel the burn that rushed to my chest. He had soon pulled up beside my form, eyes peering on at my warded off profile. "I'd like to see how so well you think can please me" He called. "If you manage to have me forget how troublesome the morning has been, then I assure you, the position is all yours" Eyes had snapped up to him at once, gaze beholding the sincerity in those grey eyes. "Also.....He paused for a long minute, figure inching closer.....If you manage to have me aroused........ He drew even nearer, breath so close, it fanned against my neck. "You're smashing your boss!" I watched the glee cross the face of my friend, with eyes widened at me, she drew nearer at every utterance she gave.

"We're not smashing, T"

"Perhaps, I'm misunderstanding it all, cause I just saw you making out with him right on our couch"

"Okay, okay, okay. Whatever, but we're not smashing"

Her grin grew even wider, figure tagging right behind mine as I pulled away from her, making my way into the kitchen area, hoping to evade all her taunts.

"Why didn't you tell me, Jane?" Her hands reached for the brownies I had abandoned in the microwave, teeth sinking into it, while I watched the delight fill her eyes.

So ready she was for the round of questionings. Ready to spend the night, if possible, going on about the scene she had been so blessed to come across.

A pestering one, Tara was. I knew that from the start, which was the reason why matters like this were kept from her, cause I could swear on everything I stood for, we wouldn't get to the bottom of it.

"I mean if I was in the pants of a gentleman as that, I wouldn't hide it" She called in muffled tone, with chocolate-stained teeth flashing back at me.

"He's hot, Jane. I mean hot, hot!"

"I don't get why you'd keep it from me" She had smacked my arms at once, with tongue stuck out at me, I could only pour out a sigh at the girl before me.

"I wasn't trying to keep it from you"

Her eyes lit up at my utterance, form inching towards me.

"So you guys actually have a thing?" She followed.

"We don't have a 'thing'......I think"

I mean, I was unsure myself how to describe what went on between Kristoffer and I. I wished to clarify it all, part of me wished it could be more, and yes, I know I was only giving accommodations to such wild thoughts, but I can't deny that in moments, I haven't found myself longing for him.

Oh, fuck! What has gotten into you, Jane?

"Why did you bring George over?" I had spun to her at once, eyes intent on her form.

"I didn't bring him over" Followed her voice.

"I found the guy, a few streets away, and he wouldn't let me have a rest, not until he saw you"

"Which eventually he did, in the arms of another guy" Her grin grew even wider.

"He's only my boss, T"

"You know, that's great!" Her eyes lit up, gaze shifting to me

"At least, George can put a halt to the disturbances now that's he's found you with another man" She rushed her words.

I stared blankly, eyes beholding the glee that crossed the face of my friend.

"George is one never to back down. You could tell him you're getting married, and he still wouldn't let go"

Form strolling around my figure, the smirk that had crossed the face of Tara, only had me staring on, utterly lost on what went on the mind of the girl before me.

"Are you getting married to that man, Jane?" I could hear the tease in her voice, with eyes skimming my figure.

"What!? No!......That wasn't what I meant, T" I called immediately, wanting to clarify it all, knowing so well who this girl was.

"Whatever" She uttered.

With hands reaching for a glass of water, she had soon turned around.

"He's one fine gentleman, Jane. If I were you, I wouldn't go denying him"

And with that, she was making her way out the area, leaving me staring blankly at her figure.

I wasn't denying him, I just was left unsure of where we both stood.
