Down-trodden people: Part 2

" I am aware of these crises, and I'm here to bring you to the castle for a shelter. You guys would stay there until further notice." Jerua announced

All of the poor souls standing helpless across the trees came nearer, they started pleading the Jerua. Jerua could not tell them that he had only offered this shelter to Chika and her family, her greasy stepmother, her innocent stepbrother, and her disabled father who needed the aid most. But there were a lot of people and he could not be this selfish to ask them to rot there. He said to them, he would be back shortly and tried to return to the castle to discuss the issue with Hinata. But people were desperate and they started following Jerua while he was ascending the mountains. He was pretty worried as the mob started running behind him now.

Maria was watching all this development in the distant valley and she could see the situation getting out of control. She started running towards them so that she could work out some strategy before it gets too late. On other days, the door of the castle remained open for the people, and anybody could have sought refuge here but the situation was different now. The people of the Hinata tribe were brutally killed. Hinata's mother was mercilessly put in the coma. She was still in jeopardy. Her life was still important and she was still liable to the damage and if that would happen, the state of Hinata shall be compromised.

There was a medical camp in the castle, especially for Chan Su. Everybody knew what he had done and how badly he ruined the honor and security of the castle but he had leverage. Nobody saw him harming the queen except that servant who shrieked out loud and asked the collective help from the people and then he put the knife in the chest of Chan Su.

Chan Su had difficulty in breathing. He was under the constant supervision of the medical team. This team was ordered by Jerua as he thought it to be necessary and inevitable. However, Sasha was furious that how Jerua interfered in those matters which should be handled by her authority only. Chan Su had a nephew who was an orphan himself. He wanted to stay near to his uncle but Sasha just sent him somewhere and nobody knew where he had been. Everybody was waiting for Chan Su to return to consciousness. But it seemed like they had to wait a lot for it.

Sasha came to visit Chan Su. She bent down over his face and said something in his ears. Meanwhile, that servant who accused him of murdering the queen was in jail in the basement. He tried to divert attention towards himself. Asked everyone to listen to him once but people had to do a more important thing than to listen to his cunning lies. The situation seemed pretty bad for all the inhabitants of the tribe and they were all under the effect of the weather and fate simultaneously.

Soon the mob started fighting with each other. It was a little farther from the castle and it could be presumed that their wrath could have brought down the walls of the castle if not the doors of it. Chika and Jerua were trying to control it by keeping them from entering the premises of the castle but they failed in doing so. Meanwhile, Maria came along with two or three servants; they had plenty of plastic shades in their hands. They started giving it off to everyone around them. The attention of the mob was turned into acquiring the shade or protector. Soon everybody was served with raincoats and now they wanted something more to keep themselves from further damage. Maria asked everybody to get to the hutch. This hutch was being utilized to store the crops. It was an official site that was being visited by the Hinata himself once the crops were stored here. He often came here to check if the crops are stored according to the standard operating procedures. Jerua and Chika were not able to think if it was a good decision to take but it was better than taking this crowd to the castle where security threats were already very high and lives were already in danger. It was the rainy season and crops had not yet arrived. They were due in summer so the hatch was empty. Soon people started filling into the hatch and began to settle down here. The primary rescue of the weather-stricken people was done. Now they wanted to have dry clothes and something to eat.
