Rain raised her brows at his words as the boss snickered as he continued "Oh don't act cocky now. I know how you snitch on Andrea's every move to that Blake. So why would you care about this new intern. You just love yourself. So tell me all that you know or else bid farewell to your life. " He slightly pressed the knife against her neck which punctured her skin leading to a drop of blood oozing out from the place.

Kai noticed this and he pranced at the boss but was held back by other goons who by now were holding down his resisting body. Unable to break free, Kai shouted "You son of a bitch! We already told you that we do not know anything. And stop being so cocky with a girl. If you are a man, then come at me."

"Ohh.. Being protective of your senior, aren't you? But honey, your senior doesn't seem to care about you. And even after this, if you want to be a hero, why don't you look around first. You are in no better position than her." Then he signalled and the man holding Kai, kicked him behind his knees, to which, he fell down on his knees. Just then, a nozzle of one the goon's gun touched his head directly. Seeing the nozzle on his head, Kai stopped his movements.

"Now now, I am impressed how the two of you can keep the things to yourself even after all this. I like you guys. So, here's the deal. Just tell us everything that you know, and you are both free to go. We will even help you to move to the capital city and look for a suitable job with a good income. A great opportunity, isn't it? You just have to give us a little information and you will get a new life. No need to rot in this small town any longer." The boss glanced at them both.

"I told you that he did not say anything" Rain was still expressionless.

"Pak…" a crisp slap sound echoed the room. "Bitch. do you think we are playing a game here? Tell us everything that you found till now and hand over all the evidence or else you are so going to regret siding with the wrong people?"

Rain just looked him in the eyes refusing to speak another word. "Pak.." Another slap landed on Rain followed by another. He continued slapping her until a drop of blood began dripping from the corner of her lips while Kai continued resisting to go towards Rain to protect her.

Just then a sound of ringing phone put the entire place in a hush. Everyone stopped whatever they were doing and turned towards the boss's pocket, the source of the sound.

In that instant Rain looked at Kai who was already looking at her. Rain nodded and Kai took a sigh of relief. Finally!! The call they have been waiting for all this while.

"Hello…No they have not uttered a word… But … don't worry I will make them talk soon. What? But… The big boss said not to reveal any of your identity…Yes sir.." Then the boss came forward and put the phone on the speaker.

"Hello Erena." A nasal grating sound greeted Rain from the phone's speaker.

"Hello Mr. Blake. I did not know you changed your profession" Rain replied in her monotonous voice.

"Oh baby! You will soon know about my true profession. You bitch you betrayed me. I placed you in Andrea's office as a mole and you hoodwinked me and gave me false information. If not for me, you would not get this position in the company given your qualification. Now tell me what that Jack told you about us and how much did you tell Andrea?"

"I don't know what you are talking about. We did not know that it was you until now. That Jack did not tell us anything" Rain kept her instance.

"Heh…. Do you think that I will still believe you? Check her pockets, I heard Andrea talking to her about some pen drive that Jack gave her." He ordered the goons.

The underlings began to search them despite their resistance. But even after searching thoroughly they could not find anything.

"Boss there is nothing with them." One of the goon said after searching thoroughly.

"Search properly" came an annoyed voice from the phone.

After another five minutes of searching same answers came from the goons.

"You people are useless" the boss roared approaching Rain. He slapped Rain and asked her tell me where is it.

"I told you that we don't know anything" Rain said looking at the boss. Blood dripping from the corner of her mouth.
