Rescued

The boss chuckled and the next second started punching and kicking Rain, asking the same thing again. After a couple of punches and kicks, Rain was kneeling on the ground where Kai was trying to get himself free from the goon's hand trying to reach Rain to protect her.

"I told you that I don't know anything." Rain said breathing heavily.

"Trying to act tough will only hasten your death dear Rain. Why don't you comply with us and you will get an easy death? Came the voice of Blake from the phone which was still connected.

"Why are you doing this Blake? Betraying the company will only result in declaring bankruptcy of Vision. You won't benefit from it if the company closes as it is the only company in this town with such high pay."

"Heh.. Do you think I need you to tell me about it. I have been working for the company for years bitch. If not for that bitch Andrea the company would have shut down three years ago. Do you know how much I hate her for ruining my plans last time?" Blake said angrily.

"So it was you back then too. But why? How does that benefit you" Rain asked trying to know the reasons.

"Why? Hee haaa…." Blake began to laugh crazily. " I guess I will humour you for once after all fulfilling the wish of a dying person is said to be a good deed. Hmmm. So where do I begin?" Blake voice came as if he was contemplating on how much to tell her. " Because they promised to reward me with so much that I will no longer need to work in my lifetime."

"Who?" asked Rain.

"Aren't you curious little Rain? Why don't we do this? You tell us where that pen drive is, and I will tell you who is behind this."

"It is in the car." Rain said. The boss gestured one of the goons to retrieve it and after five minutes he came with one.

"Bring the pen drive and kill them both" came the voice of another person from the phone before the call disconnected.

Hearing the new voice coming from the phone, Kai raised one of his brows and a slight smirk flashed on his lips which no one noticed 'Caught you'.

One of the goons departed from there with the pen drive while the rest of them began beating the two hostages. Soon they pulled out their guns and pointed towards the kneeling Rain and Kai. "I would love to play with both of you, but you see I am in a bit of hurry now. Any last wishes dears?" the boss asked looking at them. He would have gone with the pen drive leaving his underlings to deal with them, but he was instructed to finish them off himself hence he had to do it on his own before going to his bosses. After all it never hurt establishing connections with powerful people.

Just as the goons were about to pull the trigger, "Now" Kai shouted, and a gunshot sounded. The goons pointing the guns towards them fall on the ground. The boss widened his eyes and immediately more gunshots sounded as the two sides engaged in a gun fight.

Rain and Kai moved towards a corner where Kai somehow managed to free himself from the ropes and freed Rain. After a few minutes of fight, the boss was killed and soon Rain found herself sitting on a luxurious sofa in a mansion in the poshest area of the town, surrounded by her new kidnappers.

"Where's the pen drive miss Erena? I know that you never kept it in the car and carried it with you all the time" asked Kai, sitting on a chair facing Rain.

"And who are you?" asked Rain. " Whoever you are I will not betray the company you know" deadpanned Rain without any expression on her face. ' It sure is an adventurous day to fall into kidnappers hands once again just after escaping from one of them.'

"Don't worry miss Erena. You won't be betraying the company helping me. Let me reintroduce myself again. I am Elliot Harvey. Soon to be president of Apexi corporation." Kai raised his hand for a shake.

Rain looked at his outstretched hand and asked "How do I know that you are not lying?"

Kai laughed. You are an interesting person miss Erena. I believe you will trust Mr. Han Jun." saying this he turned around to reveal a man behind him who turned out to be the director of the Vision, the person who hired Rain in the company, Han Jun.
