"In Leonore? Didn't our teachers say how dangerous the Driners were? We will get killed by your plans, Abigail?" Mady gave a disapproving look.
After hearing Abigail's plan to go on either the other two kingdoms, she immediately takes her opinion against it. With what Mrs. Belva said, as well as their other teachers claimed. Driners would just harm them.
"The kingdom of Leonore was very far from here," A girl stood up from the crowd. She walked towards Abigail's direction after uttering those words.
Joseph nodded, "Leonore was located on the other end of Intasia. That means we still have a long way to go if we plan to go there." The boy added in.
"What if we steal a car?" Another person added after hearing the discussion.
Aella shook her head, "We can't use any vehicle. There must be vampires, guarding on the roads. With their speed, they would catch us quickly once they saw us"
"Aella was right," Adrianne agreed. "There's no safe place for us in here. Can't you see? We were all from the other world. The real reason for why they did take up was to be an offering." She said as anger slowly boomed on her heart.
A boy raised her hand. "I want to go back! I-I left an important thing in the room… It was given to me by my father." The tone of the man's voice quivered as tears were running down on his already red cheeks.
"Then do you want to die?" Adrianne's voice was stern with no vestige of sympathy in its hardness. She was looking at the boy with eyes, her eyes blazing.
A deafening silence echoed through the whole place, as the five minutes of resting quickly went away. But before they could even prepare for continuing their journey, a sudden sound of crack made the children's hearts, beat a leap.
They all fell in silence once again.
"W-What is that? " Mady whispered in the air as her body froze in the spot because of the sudden sound.
"Here they are, run!!" hurriedly, Adrianne announced when she felt the energy of the Vampires nearing them.
"Hurry up!" She reminded, quickly standing up from sitting down.
Taking a deep breath, she should have not agreed when they asked to rest. Now that the vampires were within the vicinity. They need to act faster.
The older groups, in a fast-paced, boarded the children in their back once more. They followed what Adrianne said and they ran faster. They seem to have forgotten the tiredness out of fear of what may happen to them.
Adrianne had no choice but to be left behind to control the plants. She placed up some traps for those who followed them. Her eyes wandered around before she quickly ran to follow her companions.
"AHHHHH!!!"
A loud scream broke the silence surrounding the area. Some of the children ceased their feet from running just to find the person who shrieks in pain.
"Sharon!" Joseph squealed as he found the girl on the floor.
With bent knees, Sharon gazed at them with worried lingering in her eyes. Adrianne, from the back, looked in Sharon's direction and saw the girl. The girl's feet were wrapped up with vines, locking it in one spot.
"Vihayra!" Adrianne loudly uttered.
A small fire came from her hand fired. It went in Sharon's direction, burning the vines on the girl's feet.
Adrianne opened her mouth when she notices that some of the kids had stopped running because of what happened. "Run! Don't stop!" She reminded.
A man's laugh can be heard by Adrianne from the darkness. The sun had already disappeared from the horizon since earlier. Their only source of light was the moon in the sky.
The kids heard another shout followed by one another. Voices coming from many directions echoed through their ears that they don't have any choice but to stop.
Adrianne placed her hands in both of her ears. Her ability to save her and the others is still not enough. She already used almost all of her energy to create traps and to guide them throughout their entire escape.
They were running for almost 3 hours already. And because of how huge and tired their body was. Their speed decreased as the moment passes. And the Vampires took it to their advantage.
Some of the kids, one by one was slowly put on hold. Thick vines came out of nowhere, circling the children's feet. Some of them who forced to still take a step felt a menacing pain that stopped them from doing anything further.
"Abigail!" Mady shouted in pain as she felt the vines slowly reaching her feet.
