The Hunt is on (1)

As I walked through the mock city where the final test was being conducted, I was in contact with the Chimera.

"Where are they now?" I asked him

"They're in C Block with a few others scattered around the city." The Chimera responded. "It seems your hunch was correct. Most of the heavy hitters are scattered around. Young Todoroki and Bakugo are by themselves and the rest are in two groups. If you move now, they scatter like the ants they are!" Nezu then manically laughed.

.

Note to self, don't play chess with him.

.

"I can see a listener!" Mic shouted into his mic. "It's Young Bakugo!"

"Keep it quiet," Aizawa spoke into his, "I can see Bakugo as well. I'll take care of him. Midnight, what's your status?"

"Allmight and I are clear, not one student is near the cell," Midnight responded.

"Remember the goal," I spoke up, loading a [Supressed 10mm Pistol] with rubber rounds, "Get them to think and plan."

"Okay."

"Move out!" I said as I dashed forward towards C Block.

.

As I ran, the robots that were roaming the street began to act like scared civilians and panic. I didn't mind them as my target was the students that were hiding. It didn't take me long before I rounded a corner and came face to face with Sero.

I didn't give him a chance to shout before I shot him three times. Jiro heard the shots and called, getting the group's attention. As they all turned toward me, I grabbed Sero and dropped a flash bomb I got from Aizawa.

With the blinding effect of the bomb, I took Sero and ran away. I was already two blocks away when the effect wore off. Sero struggled as I carried him over my shoulders, so I just pointed my gun at his head and he stopped. With his understanding of his place as my hostage, I kept running towards where were keeping those captured. I knew that Midoyia would have Jiro try to follow me with her jacks which I let happen.

I needed them to follow me. After all, even if this wasn't a real battle, it was still a test. One that they needed. If they passed, they passed. If they didn't, well, hell is waiting for them.

"Mojave Express, huh?" A hooded figure spoke as they eyed the new office and the picket line in front of it. "That sure does bring back memories."

.

The figure was in an alleyway as they watched Six's office from a distance. Their hood hide their face while a cloak concealed their body. But what was obvious about them was that they were armed with an unusual piece of technology. With a press of a button, they shimmered and vanished.

The figure chuckled and walked out of the alley, blending into their surroundings like a ghost. Slowly, like a Nightstalker in the night, the figure made their way to the picket line. From there, they weaved through the line and made their way to the back of the building. There they found the backdoor and entered inside.

.

"No cameras?" The figure spoke to themselves, "Either he's getting sloppy or he doesn't have a use for this building. Doesn't really matter, it will serve its purpose."

.

As the figure said this, they shimmered and appeared, their technology having been deactivated by the user. They looked around the office, seeing if there were anything that could lead them to Six or if there was anything left by him.

The walls were sparsely decorated with things from the Mojave. Things like Nuka-cola posters and trinkets while there were some Nightstalker's pelts on the floor. Enough for the office to have some of the Mojave flair but not enough to really stand out. The figure hummed and made its way to the main office. Inside were pictures of Six and his family on the walls as well as flowering plants.

The figure eyed the room for a second before walking over to the plants. Tapping the sides of them, one after another, revealed that one had a false bottom. The plant, a Datura root, had a hidden handle that when pulled, revealed the false bottom. Inside the plant pot, a hidden cache was there.

.

"He's getting sloppy alright," The figure said.

.

As they opened the cache, they deadpanned. Inside was a note. On the note was a crudely drawn middle finger with a 'Killory waz here' picture.

.

"Or, he's just as much of an ass as always..." The figure spoke up and then smiled.

.

Taking the note out of the cache, the figure turned it over and studied the note. While faint enough to not be noticed, a closer look revealed it had a lemon sent to it. Looking around the room, the figure noticed a clothing iron and an ironing board. Walking over to the board, the figure heated the iron up and passed it over the note.

.

" 'Head to UA. Password...' Huh, who would have thought he'd be so sentimental." The figure mumbled as they put the note back and re-hid the cache.

.

"Huh, they're improving rapidly," I thought out loud as I watched as Midoriya did his best to band together with class 1-A. "But not fast enough."

.

Currently, I stood in the control room of the mock city with Nezu operating the cameras. The Chimera merely nodded his head as the cameras switched between the students. Todorki and Bakugo are so far the only outliers. Bakugo having evaded capture from Aizawa.

.

"True, the budding sprouts that they once were, are gone," Nezu said as he messed with the keyboard in front of him. "Now they are growing without limits. But it's still too soon to judge whether or not they're ready for the world just yet."

"True," I said before opening up my comms. "Allmight, Midnight, you're good to go. Remember, act like a villain."

"You got it Hun~" MIdnight spoke up as she released her quirk.

"Understood," Allmight said as he destroyed a building.

.

Nezu and I watched as the robot citizens scattered and a few shut off when they came into contact with Midnight's quirk. Sato and Koda were both nearby and ran off in the direction of the two 'villains'. Both of them realized the 'mission' they had in this test. I had my doubts about their willingness to be heroes, but it looks like they're determined to be one.

I looked over to another monitor and saw that Kirishima and Bakugo formed a two-man team. On a different one Aoyma, Ashido, Asui, Ojiro, and Shoji were the last team formed. The 'captured' were Sero and Mineta. Sero I captured and Mineta was captured by Mic. They were currently locked in a puzzle room, one they haven't figured out was one yet.

.

"Some of them need more of a push," I commented.

"While that may be true, it's still the beginning of the exam," Nezu said as he directed a few robots to ignore Sato and Koda's warnings.

"That may be so, I still think that dropping a certain few are needed," I replied.

"They all have the drive to become Heroes," Nezu spoke up as he turned in his chair and looked at me. "Dropping them would only hurt our future."

"Your call," I said with a shrug of my shoulders. "I'm just giving you my opinion."

"I know, and I welcome it," Nezu said as he turned back toward the monitors. "You should head back out, we got a student closing in on our hideout."

"No problem," I spoke as I reloaded my [10mm Pistol+].

.

Mina: "So far, no villains in sight."

Asui: "Same here, *Kero*"

Ojiro: "Something's off." Ojiro said as they looked around. "There's not one robot like we were seeing."

Shoji: "I'm not picking up anything." Shoji said as he used his quirk to scout around.

Aoyama: "Maybe-"

.

Aoyama was cut off as a rubber bullet impacted his visor, breaking it and dropping him to his ass. Mina screamed and ducked into an alley while the rest scattered. Shoji grabbed the stunned Aoyma as he ran.

.

Mina: "Where did that come from?!"

Shoji: "I don't know, I didn't hear any gunshot just now!"

Asui: "Then it must have been Snipe and his quirk."

Ojiro: "We need to find him before he takes us all out. Anyone got a plan?"

Aoyma: "I'm fine d'ailleurs."

.

They were right, it was Snipe that was targeting them. If they had been paying attention to the robots as they rolled by, they would have got the notice that a mad gunman was in the area.

.

I walked out of the hideout and turned left. Armed and ready for the hunt I have in front of me. Shoto Todoroki is one of- if not- the strongest of class 1-A. My blood rushed through my veins as I thought about how to fight the so-called perfect offspring that was supposed to be the next Number 1 Hero. I had already put down Endeavor as a mad dog with no leash. Shoto, on the other hand, had yet to use his right side. His fireside.

I wanted to help this kid, but at the same time, I wanted to see him defeated by me for some odd reason. Like it was as if he was an obstacle for me to overcome.

I shook those thoughts from my mind as I thought about how to get him to use his fire. Plan after plan raced through my head. Finally, I just sighed and decided to wing it.

.

It took me all of five minutes to walk out into the street where Todoroki was walking along. He was already on the verge of failing the test due to his openly ignoring the pleas and information the robots were giving out. But, he could still pass as long as he defeated one of the 'villains' that were about the mock city.

Once I was on the street where he was, I made sure to make an entrance. I had placed C4 along the street as I walked, hiding them in inconspicuous places. I made sure to place enough to do damage but not enough to be overly villainous. Just as I set the tenth C4, Todoroki spotted me.

He looked around, saw that it was just me, and walked away. I was literally planting a bomb in front of him and he does nothing.

I feel insulted!

.

"You know," I said as I power walked up to him, "That was just plain rude."

"You're not worth my time, sensei," Todoroki spoke as he walked away. "I have to pass this exam."

"Even though you're on the verge of failing?" I asked him as he stopped in his tracks. "I'll let you in on the workings of this test. Nezu and I are the ringleaders of the 'villains'. You take us down, survive, or capture a 'villain', you may be able to pass. Obviously-"

.

I was cut off when a wave of ice rushed at me, I just sighed and dodged to the right of him. I didn't get to say anything as I had to dodge again. I could see that he was willing to do as much as he can to pass this exam. It appears that Endeavor's hold on the kid is strong.

After a while of just me dodging his ice, Todoroki stops attacking. I just sigh as I looked at him and then at all the damage he had just done. I haven't even detonated the C4 yet!

.

"Todoroki," I said as I looked at him and pulled out a [Detonator] from my [Pip-boy], "You have the potential to be the number 1 hero. But as of right now, you're nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum."

"What do you know about me?!" He glared and raised his left arm to strike again.

"I know you were raised to be a weapon," I said which made him pause. "To be a tool to overthrow Allmight."

.

That alone was enough for him to falter. I took this time to raise my detonator.
