CHAPTER 85: HOLMES FAMILY DOWNFALL

Holmes mansion.....

John didn't even change his cloth and shouted, "Natasha!".

"Hey dad, welcome" Natasha said as she runs towards him to hug him but was stopped by the way he shouted at her.

"What did you do to Charlie's wife?" John questioned Natasha with an anger.

Natasha is shocked because this is the first time her father is shouting at her.

"What do you mean dad?" Natasha asked confused.

"You better start talking what you did to his wife or else you won't like what I would do to you right now!" John shouted at his daughter.

"What is going on here?" The person who just entered is Natasha's mother, Elizabeth Holmes who was in the kitchen preparing food for dinner when she heard the commotion in the living room.

"Ask your daughter what she did to warrant Charles to destroy us!" John shouted.

"What!" Both Natasha and her mom shouted together.

"What do you mean darling?" Elizabeth asked.

"Yes dad, what do you mean by destroy?" Natasha asked.

John began to laugh bitterly and sits down on one couch to catch his breath before he faints.

"Dad what do you mean?" Natasha asked her dad as her and her mother also sat on the couch opposite him.

"We are doomed!" John said.

"Huh?" Natasha said.

"Charles made all the investors pull out all their investments and also the shares value has fallen and as of this moment we are penniless all because of your stupid daughter" John said angrily staring at Natasha.

"That can't be true! Dad tell me you are lying" Natasha refused to believe they are now poor.

"Do you think I would joke about something like this, why don't you check the news yourself!" John said.

Elizabeth faced her daughter and asked her "what did you do, Natty?".

"I... I sent someone to.. to.." Natasha was now shaking out of fear.

"Are you suddenly dumb that you can't speak?" John shouted at his daughter.

"Calm down dear can't you see she is terrified because of the way you are talking to her" Elizabeth said patting Natasha's head.

"Terrified? She wasn't when she plotted against Charles's wife! You better start talking before I beat the truth out of you!" John shouted now impatient with his daughter.

"I... I sent people to kidnap and defile her" Natasha said crying at this point.

"What!" John and Elizabeth shouted in unison and shocked at what their daughter just said.

Natasha jumped on her sit because of the way her parents shouted.

"You did what?" John asked rhetorically.

"Why Natty?" Elizabeth is shocked that her precious and innocent daughter would do something like that.

"Mom... I love Charles and I wanted him for myself that's why I did that" Natasha said crying.

"You love what?" John shouted pointing at his daughter; " because of you our family is destroyed, just pray that the situation is resolved if not just consider yourself disowned, I cannot have a child who cause the downfall of the family!" John said and storms out of the living room.

Natasha broke down to tears. Crying bitterly not believing she is the cause of the family downfall. Elizabeth is still comforting her daughter even though she is not happy with what she did.

International airport in New York city....

Eve and Charlie just landed in New York city and they head to the car parked in front of the airport.

As they approach the car they saw Dan already waiting for them. Dan opened the car for them and Charlie adjusted to the side to aid Eve enter the car first. When he made sure Eve is already settled in the car he turns to face his secretary Dan and asked him, "have you done what I told you to do?"

"Yes sir, the Holmes family is destroyed with no way of recovering". Dan said.

Charlie satisfied with his response nodded his head and enters the car with Dan closed and he enters the front sit and the car drives to their mansion.

They arrived at the mansion in just 30 minutes. Charlie and Eve entered the mansion. When they got to the living room they were welcomed by the sight of his father and Mr Holmes and he was accompanied by his daughter and his wife.

"What are these people doing here?" Charlie asked furrowing his eyebrows and the temperature inside the living room changed drastically and this made the Holmes trio scared.

"Son and daughter, come sit" Mark Charlie's father directs him and Eve to sit close to him facing the Holmes family directly.

"Ahem" his father clears his throat, "I heard that you made the Holmes family go bankrupt" Mark said.

"Yes" Charles said non chalantly and expressionlessly. Eve was shocked because she didn't know he would go that far as to make them go bankrupt. Eve looks at the pitful family in front of them and noticed the look of contempt Natasha had on her face as if cursing her and she immediately turns her face away fast.

"Why did you do that Charles?" Mark asked Charlie his reason for doing what he did to the Holmes family.

"Why don't you ask them?" Charlie said and one side corners of his lips curves up smiling but everyone in the living room knows that Charlie's smile is not an ordinary smile.

Mark is surprised and looks back and forth between Charles, Eve and the Holmes. After few minutes of waiting he grew impatient and decided to ask Eve.

"My dear daughter can you tell me what happened?" Mark asked sweetly and this made Eve confused whether to tell him or not. She looks at Charlie to know what he thinks but he has the same expressionless face that you can't tell what he is thinking. Eve breaths a sigh and decided to tell her father - in - law.

"Well, the thing is I was kidnapped while we were in Hawaii" Eve said.

"What!" Mark exclaimed standing up from where he was sitting, "why didn't you inform me about it? How did it happen?" Mark shouted because he was angry that he was not informed about his daughter- in - law's kidnapping.

"Because I can take care of it" Charlie said.

"Even though you can take care of it, what if something had happened to my daughter?" Mark said.

"Thankfully nothing happened" Eve interrupted the argument between father and son.

"Who dares kidnapped my daughter - in - law?" Mark shouted.

"She is in front of you right now" Charlie said.

By now their attention was focused on the Holmes family who were watching the drama in front of them.

Mark looked at the Holmes family with the look of anger written all over his face.

"Which of you kidnapped my daughter?" Mark asked the welcoming voice he had towards them dissipated into thin air.

"We can explain" John Holmes said.

"Who did it?" Mark asked losing his patience.

"You see... My daughter didn't mean to do what she did, she just wasn't in her right frame of mind, please forgive her" Elizabeth said.

"What did you say? Not in her right frame of mind? Hahaha" Mark began to laugh at their excuse.

"Get out of this house this moment" Mark said smoke coming out of his head.

The Holmes family knelt down and began begging but their pleas were falling on deaf ears.

"You heard him leave or I will bestow on your family what is worst then what I did" Charlie said as he holds Eve and heads upstairs.

"Butler Leo!" Mark called butler Leo and said to him, "get the security to take this people out of here and make sure they never set foot into the house again.

The Holmes continued pleading for mercy as they are dragged out of the mansion but of course, it fell on deaf ears.

During dinner time, Mark kept on comforting and assuring his daughter - in - law that he would make sure she is protected.

"That's my job" Charlie said looking at his dad.

"Hey young man your job right now is to give me a grandchild!" Mark shouted making Eve to choke on the water she was drinking.

Charlie "..."

The maids "..."

"I will do that but at the right time" Charlie said.

"You better do that fast I am not growing any younger" Mark said and they all ate their dinner quietly.

Anderson's mansion...

Adriana sat in the living room and put on the television and she was greeted with the news of the Holmes family being bankrupt.

"What! Isn't that Natasha's family? What would have happened to them? I need to call her and find out what happened" Adriana said and rushes to her room to call Natasha immediately.
