CHAPTER 86

Anderson's mansion...
Adriana sat in the living room and put on the television and she was greeted with the news of the Holmes family being bankrupt.
"What! Isn't that Natasha's family? What would have happened to them? I need to call her and find out what happened" Adriana said and rushes to her room to call Natasha immediately.
Adriana got to her room, picked up her phone from her bed and dialed Natasha's number. The phone rang three times before it was answered.
Adriana : hello?
Natasha : hello (she said in -between sobs)
Adriana : what is this I am hearing? That your family is now bankrupt? Is it true?
Natasha : yes it is true.... wuuuuuuuu (she started crying out loud) .
Adriana : don't cry Natasha, with time your family will be back to their former glory don't cause harm to yourself, put yourself together, okay?
Natasha : I don't think that will be possible anymore.
Adriana : what do you mean?
Natasha : what I meant was that Charles made sure there was no way my family will be able to recover from this situation, we are stuck being poor (her wails began to increase again).
Adriana : sorry about that. Okay I need to go now my mom called for me, bye!
Adriana hurriedly hangs up on the phone and rolls herself on her bed happily because Natasha is out of the picture but she stopped and thought of something, "I need to be very careful in my plans against Eve if not my family will end up like Natasha.

JK corporation cafeteria.......
"Hey girl, what's up?" Sue asked Eve immediately she saw Eve approaching her.
"Am good and you?" Eve asked smiling and sitting down opposite Sue on the same table.
"Eve gist me!" Sue giggling as her gossiping spirit is brewing up.
Eve smiles at the behavior of her friend but noticed that she has not seen Nars today at all and she decided to ask Sue about Nars.
"Sue" Eve called her attention.
"Mhm?" Sue hummed while still eating her food.
"Where is Nars? Didn't he come to work today?" Eve asked.
"Oh he took a day off because he caught the flu" Sue said.
"Oh..." Eve said.
"Okay now tell me about your honeymoon" Sue asked.
"I was kidnapped" Eve said and this made Sue's eye bulge out as if they were going to fall out of their sockets.
"What!" Sue shocked and shouted with a low voice.
"How did that happen?" Sue asked.
"Apparently Natasha followed us to Hawaii and feigned she was on a business trip and she even interrupted I and Charlie's breakfast but after she was disgraced she plotted and sent some men to kidnap, defile me and even dispose of my body when they were done with me... Hmm, fortunately Charles was there to save me in time" Eve narrated everything that happened to Sue.
"Wow! Who knew that Natasha would be that despicable!" Sue said disgusted by Natasha.
"I knew she was an over pampered brat who was arrogant, proud and rude but to be able to plot the kidnapping and killing of someone is really surprising" Eve said shaking her head.
"What a world!" Sue said sighing then her eyes shines and she looked at Eve.
"Did you use the sexy lingerie we bought when we went shopping?" Sue asked and this made Eve blush.
"No I didn't get to use it" Eve said dejectedly.
"That means you both haven't consummated your marriage yet?" Sue asked.
"Yes, we haven't" Eve said.
Sue face palmed herself because she was tired and didn't know how she would deal with her friend.
"Why didn't you use it?" Sue said. Eve didn't want to tell Sue that she was feeling shy using it so she thought of using her kidnap as an excuse.
"I was planning on using it on the night of the day I was kidnapped" Eve said putting on a disappointed look to complete her story.
"Oh, okay don't worry you still have time to do that" Sue said and Eve thought "can't this lady stop thinking about my love life?" Eve sighed as both of them finished their food and goes to their various station where they work.
The day went by fast, it was closing time already and Eve and Charlie tidied up the work they had with Eve helping Charlie with his own work and they were done, they left the company and headed home.

Anderson's mansion......
"Mom, dad I want to plan a dinner at home here and I want to invite Eve and Charles" Adriana said to her parents.
George and Sofia knowing their daughter cannot just want to invite Eve but it must be because of Charles.
"That's a good idea because we can introduce our daughter properly to Charles and make him pick interest in her" Sofia said grinning.
"Yes I think so and we can also tell him again to invest in our company because we are his in - laws" George said rubbing his chin.
"So it is decided then? The dinner will be tomorrow which is Saturday" Adriana said.
"Okay I will tell Charles about the dinner" George said.
"Okay dad" Adriana said and went upstairs to her room.

Charles mansion....
Charlie is in his study attending to some of his unfinished work that needs urgent attention. He was so engrossed in the documents then his phone rang. He pulls his eyes away from the document he was reading and looks at his phone and saw the caller ID to be George Anderson, Eve's uncle. He answered the call.
"Hello" Charlie's cold voice was heard by George.
"Hello hahahaha" George laughed awkwardly.
"What is it?" Charlie asked impatiently.
"Well I called to invite you and your wife Eve over to our house tomorrow for dinner and I would like if you both would be able to make it" George said expectantly.
"I will ask my wife if she would like to attend, I am only going to attend if she is going" Charlie said.
"Alright alright I will wait for your response, have a good night" George said.
Charlie didn't even respond to George's wish of good night and hung up on him.
Charlie closes his laptop and leaves his study. As he approaches the stairs he saw one of the maids and asked her where Eve is and she told him that she was in the living room watching TV. He allowed the maid to carry on with her work and he goes to the living room.
He got to the living room and saw Eve sitting on the couch in a position as if she is meditating, he goes and sat beside her.
"Little bunny?" Charlie called.
"Mhm" Eve answered him without removing her eyes from the TV.
"There is something I want to tell you" Charlie said.
"Okay go on" Eve said now focusing on Charlie.
"Your uncle called me a while ago inviting us for dinner at their house tomorrow, do you want to go?" Charlie asked looking at Eve worriedly as her expression changed to that of gloominess.
Eve mood changed and she became moody when her uncle is mentioned. Sudden feeling of hatred started growing.
"If you don't want to go, then I won't go because I would go if you are" Charlie said. Eve looked at Charlie and decided not to allow the matter to weigh her down.
"Okay we will go" Eve said non chalantly.
"Are you sure?" Charlie asked.
"Yeah, I will use the opportunity to make them jealous and regret the day they chased me out of my own father's house and company. All I just need is your cooperation" Eve said smirking.
"Okay I will do whatever you tell me to do" Charlie said as a nine year old who is been told what to do by his mother.
"Join me and watch this show, it's very interesting!" Eve said reverting back to her jolly mood.
"Okay" Charlie said happy that Eve is back to her usual jolly self. He sighs and faces the TV watching and laughing with Eve at the funny scenes in the show.
They watched the show for some while then they headed to bed. Immediately Charlie saw that Eve has slept, he stood up and went to his study room to inform her uncle that they would be attending the dinner.
After that he continues to work on the remaining documents until 12am, he closes his laptop and goes back to their room to join Eve. He sees Eve sleeping peacefully, he hugs her and drifts off to sleep.
