DEBORAH POV
It must have been twenty minutes later when the nurse that attended to me before, slammed the landline back in place and waved over at me.
"Ms Sutton, Dr. Stone wants to see you."
I nodded and got up.
"I'll take you to him." The nurse said.
I followed the nurse down the sterile hallway, my heart pounding in my chest. The smell of disinfectant continued to fill my nostrils, making me slightly nauseous. Or maybe that was just the morning sickness.
"Right through here, Ms. Sutton," the nurse said, gesturing to an open door.
I stepped into the office, taking in the diplomas lining the walls and the large desk dominating the room. A man in his fifties with salt-and-pepper hair stood up as I entered, a warm smile on his face.
"Ms. Sutton, I'm Dr. Stone. Please, have a seat," he said, gesturing to the chair across from him.
