Compound V

Entering Vought headquarters wasn't very hard, no the really hard part was figuring out where they made the stuff I needed. Now that was the hard part, I knew that they had something related to Compound V in this building, it's where they started it all after all. Where Fredrick Vought or whatever his real name was. Didn't matter, I knew that they had something related to Compound V. 

Now how I could explore the building itself, well I told them I had a meeting with Madilyn Stillwell used a weak superpower, persuasion I think they called it. Basic mind control, makes people think what you want them to think. They used it to get women and guys but right now he is a pile of blood and guts in the sewers or somewhere in the ocean, who knows where. Getting into an elevator and before I pressed any button a thought popped into my mind, what if I did meet with Madylin.

I had no idea of Stan Edgar's current whereabouts, and while yes he could help I didn't want to show them my cards just yet, I mean out of everyone in the building he probably had the most cameras in his office and who knows where else. Pressing the button for her floor, I heard the elevator ding and go up, stopping a few times along the way to pick up some other employees. Eventually, we reached my floor and I entered, navigating the place. 

Didn't take that long to find seeing as the place is basically one gigantic circle essentially, so her office was easy to find. Standing outside was Homelander himself, he was staring at a large painting and right into her office with his x-ray vision I'm assuming. Honestly, whenever I'm in this place I try to avoid it as much as possible, and after a minute he just left going to who knows where. Approaching the door I knocked once on it, making sure she knew I was outside. 

"Come in, the doors unlocked," she said.

Entering, I saw Madliny a woman in her forties I believe going through some papers she looked up and saw me, and with a surprised expression on her face said.

"Oh, Mr. Shigaraki, I didn't know we had a meeting today, and I can't seem to find it on my calendar." 

Sighing I took a seat near her, making myself comfortable.

"Don't worry this visit wasn't planned, I just needed to talk with someone high on the Vought food chain so to speak." 

Then staring her dead in the eyes, I dropped the bomb.

"I know about Compound V, I know all about how supe's are made and how damaged the company will be if I revealed it to the world, and don't bother trying to hide behind some stupid reason like "I don't know what you're talking about." because we both know its real."

Then seeing her tense a bit, I leaned back relaxing myself, and to get her more relaxed, I spoke in a much calmer voice. 

"But I don't want to do that, and all I need is one vial of it, that's it and don't worry it's not for some nefarious or corporate espionage thing like that where I start my own little superhero company."

"No, it's for a family member of mine, my nephew he's always wanted to be a superhero and have powers, all that stuff, and well I know it's better to start young."

"So what do you say, you get a new product for your company and a good family member of mine makes his dream come true."

Then after I was done, Madylin was silent probably contemplating what she was about to say, the pros and cons of what I said. That and with the added benefit of persuasion and another power, what I think they called "implant" which would further upgrade the brainwashing. It wasn't perfect of course, but this was my best shot at getting her to agree with me and get me a sample of Compound V. 

"Well, I can see that this is very important to you and well I have to talk with my bosses first but I think I can get your nephew super in no time"

Once she said that I had to think fast and get that sample today.

"Well that's a problem because, well he's only in town for a couple of days and well I want to be the one who gives it to him, and I understand your reluctance but I can give you my assurance he will be under a contract for Vought, and if he's not well I may like my nephew but I don't love any of my family so please go ahead and take care of them if they don't."

She began twirling a pen, thinking about my proposal and then she got a phone out and made a call, far enough and quite enough where I couldn't hear her. 

"Well, Stan seems to like the idea, seems like you have friends in high places so how do you want to do this, bring your nephew here or bring one of our guys with you."

"I'll take one of your scientists with me, I think he'll be more comfortable at home or at least his home away from home at my place."

After our little talk, I got up and shook her hand, exiting her office and letting her take care of all the necessary details. I passed by a few employees before getting back in the elevator and going back to the ground floor. On my way out I noticed one Hughie Campbell and immediately knew where I was in the timeline and that things were going to get exciting real soon. 

Stepping outside, I unlocked my car and waited for one of Vought's scientists to hand deliver the goods themselves. Then viola as soon as I thought here comes one rushing out now, with a briefcase in hand, and as they got closer I started the car and opened the passenger side letting them in. Once we were both buckled up, I drove away and in the rearview mirror I saw Butcher's van and I smiled looking forward to adding to all the chaos.
