The Bone Hero, Jokara

The world of villains and heroes. Something right out of comic books. But for these people, it's a reality. And it's nowhere near as fun as the comics make it seem. Tag along with Jokara, an enigma even in his own world, as he tries to discover some kind of meaning and drive for himself. Disclaimer: Jokara will become a hero. But at the same time, his actions will often be very questionable for a hero, as well as a villain. (This is my first story. In my opinion, it's really not that good, and I want to get much better. Please keep that in mind as you read it. I would seriously appreciate constructive criticism, but please don't be a dick about it.)

Chapter 51: Relatives

(Daily Music: Kyo-Donut Hole)

(Please read author's note at the end)

These two know me? They sound like they were expecting me, at least, but I don't know them.

I obviously noticed that they had the two dots of paint on their forehead that was used in my tribe, but I hadn't heard of them at any point during my stay in it.

"Introduce yourselves. If you lie, I'll attack, and I'll know if you did.", I threatened, getting ready to use Truth to ascertain if what they would respond with is truthful by specifying to look out for if what they respond with is false or true, a basic application I found rather recently.

The man with the hair identical to mine introduced himself first.

"I am Kimimaro Kaguya. I'm from your tribe, but from countless years ago. Over 90 generations ago, to be more precise.", he introduced. I used Truth.

Everything he said was true.

"My name is Kaguya Otsutsuki. I am the progenitor of your tribe, the start of it.", the tall woman introduced. Once again, I used Truth.

Once again, everything she said was true.

Both of their truths were shocking to me, especially Kaguya's. A member of my tribe from way back in time, and the very first one from who all others came from.

"How are you two connected to me, apart from being distant relatives?", I questioned.

"To tell you that, we need to tell you about our time of living", Kimimaro replied.

"During our time, there was constant war. If there was ever a day with no death, it simply meant that others were planning to deliver it on a larger scale. Peace was nothing more than a fantasy idea proposed by naïve children, and pacifism was a fool's game that always, without fail, ended with a kunai to the back. Those who weren't talented, gifted, or protected by some other person were almost guaranteed to die, often at a young age. War was just an everyday part of life.", he started.

That sounds even more miserable than the world I occupy. For war to be so common that it simply becomes a daily occurrence alone tells how bad it was. I already know that him and Kaguya must have been very powerful to live in such a time.

"Something present in everyone, civilians included, during our time was an energy referred to as "Chakra". Chakra allowed people to do countless things, in countless scenarios. Attacks using chakra were also a part of everyday life for shinobi, people who fought for their village."

This "chakra" seems rather interesting.

(This next bit is, at least to my knowledge, not an actual thing in the Naruto universe, but I'm making it a thing here.)

"A person's chakra is special to every person, and a lot of ways to find out things about a person is related to their chakra. Personalities, morals, fighting styles, things like that. And when someone dies, their chakra leaves their body, taking all of that with it, and that's the end of the person, both their life and their chakra, as well as whatever it contained. At least, until you.", Kaguya took over.

Hmm?

"As generations went by, peace became something that could actually be achieved, and it was. Because of countless generations of peace, using chakra to attack others or similar completely stopped, and it changed. For most, it became strictly used for utility. For others, their chakra existed, but was simply dormant. The only ones who were the closest to still fully having chakra were my descendants, the ones you refer to as the Kaguya tribe, as their traditions were deeply rooted in fighting and violence, and they didn't change that, simply agreeing to target their brutality from people to anything else. The remains of their chakra gave them incredible physical prowess, which is still present in the tribe today.", she continued.

"But your chakra channels were completely empty. You had absolutely no chakra at all. However, they were akin to black holes. During one of the travels as your tribe was relocating, you walked near the area that I died at several years ago during a fight."

"You had also gone through the place of my death at a later point. When you passed through our sites of passing, your chakra channels did what we all thought wasn't even possible, and absorbed our chakra from the air, giving yourself chakra, but in turn, essentially adding both of us to yourself, making you incredibly unstable.", Kimimaro added.

"For years, we have been with you like this. In all sincerity, it has made me glad to be able to follow one of my descendants throughout the course of their life in a time without constant war. But, despite this, your life has still been horrible, especially for one as young as yourself. Your intentions are good, but the world labels you as someone who needs to be put down because you do what they refuse to do for the safety of others.", Kaguya said.

It felt comforting to know that they accepted me and appreciated what I wanted to do.

"We know that you intend to declare war on all heroes and villains. We want to give you the best chances of winning, our way.", she continued.

"Let me introduce you to All Killing Ash Bones."

(Okay, this story will probably end in 2 more chapters. I want to get onto different things, but I want to at the absolute least give this an ending, even though it's most likely going to suck. I know this is seriously rushed.

If it's any reconciliation, I plan to remake this whole book at some point when I get much better at writing. Probably when I've made three more stories.)
