Reunion (III)...

"I will help them" Saeko said as Daichi started to climb the stairs. He would have liked it if Saeko had accompanied him, but since Saeko wanted to help with the food, he decided to let her be. It has been a stressful day for both of them.

So, without wasting any more time, Daichi started to climb the stairs followed by Kemono, Bella, and Roberta. Kohta and the others have decided to stay in the kitchen. Maybe, Kohta wanted to check the clothes they had bought from the city. Hygiene was going to be a huge problem in the future. Water and electricity are going to run out, it was just a matter of when.

This time, they were finally able to reach the 1st floor without any more interruptions. Daichi had noticed that Roberta had dressed differently as soon as he had laid his eyes on her, but he decided not to say anything before since the others were around. He might not be ashamed of his relationship with Roberta, but that didn't mean that he would advertise the fact to everyone.

"You look really different, Roberta-Chan. I like the new you even more" Daichi said and wrapped his hand around the purple-haired woman's waist and pulled her closer. He gently placed his lips against Roberta's lips.

Kemono wasn't bothered by the sight as it was something pretty common in their house. Daichi and Roberta finally separated after a few seconds. "I am glad you like my new getup, Daichi-sama. I was really worried" Roberta said meekly and Daichi tucked a string of purple hair behind the woman's ear.

"You were always beautiful, Roberta" Daichi said with a grin. They were the only ones up on the first floor, so Daichi finally decided to tell Kemono about Bella. Daichi had already started to consider Bella as a part of his eccentric family. Bella was his Summon and she had sworn her everything to Daichi. He could at least consider her a part of his family.

"Mom, Bella is actually my Summon. I got the ability to Summon people" Daichi explained, and Kemono raised her brows as she seemed to inspect Bella. The insane woman noticed the inspecting gaze, so she decided to twirl around while giggling so that her mother-in-law could inspect her better.

"Son, you have great taste in women" Kemono said with a grin, but Daichi decided to explain more.

"Mom, she is much more than just a Summon though. She is someone very special to me" Daichi said with a serious look on his face. Kemono couldn't help but feel impressed with her son. Her son had grown up into a man. Bella squealed after hearing Daichi's words and threw herself into his arms.

"Bella is someone special to you, Bella is very happy, milord" Bella squealed while rubbing her head on Daichi's chest while giggling like a schoolgirl. "Bella is not worthy of your affection" Bella said as she continued to smother Daichi. From the side, Kemono couldn't help but smile. She already liked Bella and as long as Bella was loyal to her son, she wasn't going to have any problems with her.

Roberta didn't show any outward reaction, but she continued to inspect the look on Kemono's face. Roberta knew that it wasn't her place to make any comments about Daichi-Sama's love life, especially when she considered herself to be a Mistress. As long as Daichi-Sama wanted her around, she would continue to please him. The only reason she was watching Kemono was because her Mistress liked to critically inspect all the women around Daichi.

Daichi continued to pat Bella and the insane woman finally separated from him after she was satisfied with the head pats. Daichi leaned down and captured Bella's lips… After a short kiss, the two of them finally separated and Bella seemed to be extremely cheerful after receiving the head pats and kiss. Daichi and the group finally arrived at the balcony.

The whole group turned towards the bridge due to all the noises emanating from there. "Weak-minded fools!" Kemono spat out in disdain and Daichi released a sigh while shaking his head.

"True, they are weak, but not everyone will be able to survive in this world. Now that the laws supporting our world are gone, the rules of the jungle have come into play… It will be survival of the fittest" Daichi said with a hard look on his face. He had seen enough to know that much.

Kemono grinned after hearing her son's words. She slung her arm over her son's shoulder and pulled him closer. "Too true son, too true" Kemono said with a proud look on her face. "So, what is your plan, son?" Kemono asked and Daichi looked at his mother with a confused look on his face.

"I only gave that speech to raise everyone's morale. I don't want to continue being a Leader now that you are here" Daichi said while shaking his head and Kemono growled after hearing Daichi's words.

"I am not a Leader" Kemono declared with a huff. "You have done a good job with the group and I don't mind being ordered around by you… I love it when you are in charge" Kemono added in a husky tone and Daichi simply cleared his throat to distract himself. He didn't want to pop a boner right now. His mom could always get him hard with simple things.

"You said that you were the leader of the Mana Research Division" Daichi reminded Kemomo who simply scoffed after hearing Daichi's argument.

"They made me the leader of the Mana Research Division because I am not good at following orders and I was the baddest and meanest they had for that department. They wanted someone who didn't have any qualms over dirtying their hands when needed" Kemono explained and Daichi knew how his mom was, so he realized that his mom was probably right. She was a poor leader.

"Fine… fine. I will continue being the leader of the group" Daichi decided to surrender himself to his fate. Being a leader was an extremely hard job, especially in a world like this, but he knew that if he wanted to survive, then he needed a form a group… maybe a colony. Daichi looked at the side and found that Bella was already playing with a ball, she must have grown bored.

He also needed to take care of his mom, Roberta, Bella, Saeko, and Kyoko in this world. He knew that his mom was probably stronger than him, while Bella, Roberta, and Saeko were probably somewhere around his power level, but he still wanted to be strong enough to protect them or at least fight beside them. He might be a Summoner, but he didn't want to hide behind his Summons or his mom or any of his women.

For that, he needed to be strong… If he joined another group, he had no idea if the leader would allow him to grow stronger or not and in a messed up world like this, there must be some leaders who are scum. He wouldn't put it past them demanding his women for the so-called protection fee or admission fee for their groups. Daichi would rather die fighting than allow something like that to happen.

Not only that, making his own group would give him more freedom to act… True, there will be lots of responsibilities, but nobody said that he couldn't hire a secretary to manage all of his duties… Daichi was brought out of his musings when Kemono decided to speak up.

"So, what do you plan to do next?" Kemono repeated her previous question. She was quite curious about that.

"...I am planning to raid a shopping complex or something like that. I am also planning to help the others reach Level 1" Daichi answered with a thoughtful look on his face. True, they still had a lot of food, but their group had also increased in size. Additionally, the stock wasn't going to last forever, they would need more food sooner or later and Daichi decided to deal with it as soon as possible.

Kemono nodded her head in acknowledgment. "Good… do you have any plans for saving gas or something like that?" Kemono asked and Daichi realized that they also needed to stock some gas if they didn't want to travel on foot.

"Can you take care of that?" Daichi asked Kemono, but before she could give him an answer, he shook his head. "Your Skill is related to fire or something like that, right?" Daichi asked and Kemono grinned as she nodded her head. "Then it would be a disaster if I send you to the gas station. You are going to raid a shopping complex for food and every general commodity necessary for daily life" Daichi said in a commanding tone.

"If that is what you want…" Kemono shrugged with a grin.

"Good… I will reveal the plan to the others during the dinner" Daichi said with a nod of his head… "And I also need to add some ground rules for the group or our group won't survive long due to internal strife" Daichi added with a tired sigh, being a leader was such a chore…
