"I am so happy that you are alright, Saya. I am so relieved" Yuriko said while smothering Saya with an extremely tight hug.

"Mama!" Saya exclaimed with a red face, looking completely embarrassed, but she still hugged back the older woman.

"I see… you are alive too" Kemono said while looking at Kyoko. The bespectacled woman fearfully nodded her head.

"Yeah… Daichi-kun protected me" Kyoko nervously answered and Kemono gave her a stiff nod.

"At least, he can protect his own women. I shouldn't have expected anything less from him. Son, now you can get even more women" Kemono said and started to laugh boisterously while smacking Daichi's back with an impressed look on her face. Daichi could only rub the back of his head nervously. Everyone except for Bella and Roberta gave the mother and son duo weird looks.

"Milord, is this woman your mother?" Bella asked curiously as she kept looking at Kemono with narrowed eyes.

"Yes… she is" Daichi answered with a sigh.

"Oh… and why are you calling my son, Milord?" Kemono asked curiously and the group finally arrived inside the kitchen.

"He is my lord, that is why I call him Milord" Bella answered in an obvious tone like it explained everything. Kemono turned towards her son and grinned.

"Ohh… I already like her" Kemono said with a grin and Daichi simply shrugged. He knew his mom was slightly unhinged, so it was pretty understandable that his mom would get along with Bella.

"I will tell you more about her later" Daichi said and plopped down on a seat. The others also sat down and those who couldn't get a seat decided to keep standing. "By the way… how did you guys even find me?" Daichi questioned in a curious tone.

"I was heading towards your Highschool with Mama Takagi and some of her associates" Kemono said and jerked her thumb towards Yuriko. "That is when I saw our Hummer on the road" Kemono explained and if the glare meant anything, then Yuriko wasn't happy about the nickname.

"I had visited the school and found that you had already left with a small group. I quickly deduced where you could have gone and that's it" Roberta explained with a stoic look on her face. Daichi knew that Roberta wasn't telling him everything, but it didn't matter.

"By the way, I will take you to the bridge tomorrow, so that you can look for your daughter and husband" Roberta added while looking toward Maresato Chiba. The woman nodded her head in understanding, but no matter how much she tried, she couldn't calm herself.

"Mom, let me introduce you to everyone. You already know Kyoko" Daichi said and Kemono nodded her head. Then Daichi pointed towards Bella. "Her name is Bellatrix Black, but she goes by Bella" Daichi said and then he pointed towards Kohta.

"He is Hirano Kohta, he is extremely good with guns" Daichi introduced Kohta who slightly cowered when Kemono's gaze focused on him. "She is Busujima Saeko, as expected she is extremely skilled with a Katana" Daichi said pointing towards Saeko, who was dressed in a completely fresh set of clothes.

"It is nice to meet you, Yozora-dono" Saeko greeted Kemono with a small bow.

"I know your father, he is one of the strongest men I have ever met" Kemono said with an impressed smile on her face. A proud smile appeared on Saeko's face, after hearing Kemono's words.

"Moving on, her name is Shizuka Marikawa, she was our school nurse. This is her friend's house" Daichi introduced the airhead nurse.

"Hello~" Shizuka gave a small wave and her boobs jiggled. Kemono wanted to glare at the woman, but for now, she stopped herself.

"Yes, I know. This is Rika Minami's house, right?" Kemono asked and Shizuka cheerfully nodded her head.

"And that is Saya Takagi" with that Daichi finally finished the introductions. Then Daichi turned towards the other four people who came along with his mother, they seemed to be with Yuriko Takagi. Kemono noticed her son's gaze.

"They came along with Mama Takagi…" Kemono said with a straight face and Yuriko growled in annoyance.

"Can you stop using that disgusting nickname? My name is Yuriko" Yuriko asked and Kemono started to cackle in mad glee. Yuriko simply started to rub her temple, but she still decided to introduce the people who had decided to accompany her from the Takagi Mansion.

"This is Aoba Kenji, he can handle weapons if necessary, but he is a good electrician" Yuriko introduced the man standing to her right. Then she pointed toward the man standing beside Aoba. "This is Tsukomo Seiji, he used to be one of my bodyguards" Yuriko introduced the second and he simply grunted.

"This is Sara Yui, and this is Kou Emiko. Both of them worked for me before all of this started" Yuriko introduced the two women who had decided to accompany her. Now that the introductions were finally over, Saya decided to ask one of the most important questions on everyone's mind.

"Um… Yozora-San, you work for the Government, right? So, what can you tell us about the rescue missions… if any" Saya asked in a polite tone, to be honest, she found Daichi's mother to be quite intimidating. Even her mother seemed to be quite wary of the woman.

"I worked for the Government and I decided to quit as soon as this shit started. My whole team turned into Zombies, so obviously, I killed them. That means even the army isn't exempt from this so-called undead rampage. Right now, all types of communication are out of order, so there is no way to know for sure" Kemono finished with a shrug.

"And no matter what, the army wouldn't be planning to rescue people like us… Right now, there is no order, the higher-ups would never allow the army to save normal people. They would want to keep the army around to protect themselves. They don't like losing their sense of security" Kemono finished with a grin.

Everyone in the room except for a few like Bella, Daichi, Roberta, and Saeko shifted uncomfortably after hearing Kemono's words. "So, we are on our own?" Yuriko asked and Kemono simply shrugged as it was the obvious answer. Yuriko and the others could only grimace after they finally understood what was going on.

"First, we need to find ourselves a bigger place. Don't get me wrong, this place is probably enough for us, but it wouldn't be after we get a few more members in our group" Daichi said, surprising everyone. The morale of the group was down after the conversation and he couldn't have that since he wanted to survive.

"The Government might be too busy to help us, but that doesn't mean that we should stop living or trying to survive… we will do whatever needs to be done. It is pretty clear that the food won't last for eternity and at the same time, our enemies will keep becoming stronger due to Mana. I have already faced Level 1 Evolved Beasts"

"Bitching and moaning about the unfairness of the world won't help us survive and depending on the army to save us isn't going to help. We need to keep getting stronger if we want to survive. If we want to survive then we need to keep fighting until we are the badest and meanest out there" Daichi said in a firm tone with determined flames burning in his eyes.

Kemono beamed after hearing her son's words and slapped his back with a proud look on her face. "That's my son!!" Kemono said with a bright grin and Daichi could only smile after being praised by his mother, but he still rubbed the back of his head. The others slowly started to nod their heads as they came to agree with what Daichi said.

"Mama, why didn't Papa come with you?" All of a sudden Saya asked and the smile on Yuriko's face disappeared.

"...He is busy being the ideal leader" Yuriko said with a tight smile on her face. She couldn't bring herself to tell Saya how her father had tossed her aside just for the sake of his wounded pride. Even though Yuriko was extremely cryptic with her words, Saya realized what her mother was trying to say and she simply couldn't believe it.

Daichi also realized what was going on and to be honest, he wanted no part in the family drama. "Ok, we should get back to the 1st floor, we need to keep an eye for any Evolved beasts or Zombies" Daichi said, quickly changing the topic. Kemono decided to accompany her son as she wanted to spend some time with him and she also wanted no part in the Takagi family drama.

Daichi was about to move towards the stairs and that is when he froze as he remembered something very important. So, he slowly turned around towards the others. "Wait… how many of you can cook?" Daichi questioned as he knew that they needed people who could cook since the size of their group had increased.

Yuriko and the two women she had brought with her raised their hands. The woman who was accompanying Roberta also raised her hand. Daichi already knew that his mom could cook, but she avoided raising her hand as she wanted to spend some time with him. Roberta wasn't a good cook, so she also refrained from raising her hand.

"Can you all prepare dinner for everyone?" Daichi politely asked those with their hands raised, and after receiving a nod from each of them, Daichi decided to tell them where all the ingredients were kept. "The raw ingredients are in those bags along with various types of dry ingredients and seasonings. Prepare something with meat" Daichi explained. Daichi suspected that he was going to need as much energy as possible…
