Queen Mathilde smiled ruefully. "My daughter can be quite…persuasive." She said with some regret as Rowena inherited that ability from her. Little did she know that her spoiled brat would use it in such a dangerous way.
"Do you have any leads?"
"My husband has been evasive. I know he had a hand in it." Queen Mathilde said with certainty. Then she muttered to herself "or, at least he attempted to, but he was never that competent."
Fake Rowena did not acknowledge that she'd heard the last murmured part.
"Now that I'm here, it seems I was correct. I just don't know which one actually succeeded in spiriting her away or where she is being kept hidden."
"Both, I think." Fake Rowena stated. "About the willing kidnapping, at least." She hastened to add.
Queen Mathilde looked surprised. "How do you know?"
"I don't" she admitted. "Not really."
