SSS HQ

The SSS (Super Secret Society) is a government controlled Hero organization that allows people who want to hide their identity while fulfilling contracts approved by the government. Their surface level activities include charity work, helping combat natural disasters, saving people from villains and other community serving things. That's where you would find Heroes like Stellar Starlight. However in the more ambiguous activities are sealed deeper into the organization are the more shadier deals. Killing or capturing people who threaten the organization or the common people. That's more so where I reside. I wouldn't call my acts heroic however they definitely aren't evil. Me, and others like me decided that killing for the right people is better than jail time or being ostracized because our power makes us look evil.

That said I was given this operation by the SSS and it wasn't my first. I've been doing this for a year now however I've never crossed another person from the same organization, and definitely never a Hero even inside the SSS building. I need to know what's going on. I march through the office all the way up to my mission manager and open his door with great ferocity. Not caring what he was doing prior, I say.

"YE  TORN-FACED BOAKIN NUNPTY! WHIT TH' HELL?! WHIT WIS STELLAR STARLIGHT DAEIN' AT MAH MARC? YE THINK TIS EASY TAR JUIST GANG OOY 'N' MURDURR MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR BOAKS DAE YE?"

Without answering, the man known as Dagger walked pass me and closed the door before placing his hand on my shoulder. I smacked his hand off of me and he held both his up as if he was trying to calm me. He said.

"Okay first of all, Hi. Secondly I didn't get anything's after you called me a...numpty? So how about to take a seat and relax, get all that Scottish fury out of you and then we can talk."

I was mad...but he was right, being angry wasn't going to solve anything. After looking at him with suspicion I sat down and took a deep breath. "Stellar Starlight was at location the very same time I was about to do the hit. The only person who knew when and where I'd strike was you. So? Explain to me what happened." He looked nervous after I finished then seemed to come to realization. "Wait so you didn't kill him?" I shook my head. "When I was about to, she showed up. If I stayed she would have grabbed me." He looked upset. "That wasn't the plan. She must have showed up too fast..." he then seemed to be in thought. I wasn't having it. "And whit's that suppose tae mean?" I asked not realizing my accent was slipping again. "That means that you were 'suppose tae' kill the guy before she came. We over estimated you." I shook my head. "No, you underestimated her. I'm leaving. You guys call after you figure this out. I did what I was assigned to do. Goodbye Dagger." I then got up and left while hearing him call for me. We both know he had nothing else important to say. He just wanted to moan more about how I didn't meet ambiguous expectations.
