Hood

My mark today is a rich business owner who uses his authority to undermine his employees and take everything they own until they are left with nothing. I was called to come in and kill him as quickly as possible without leaving a trace. He lives in a fancy city high rise building. He made himself an easy enough mark. His bed room has a large window on it. All I need is a shadow to sink into, then I'll be able to infiltrate his room and kill him in a swift blow. Sinking into shadows is some only I am capable of and because of that I can complete these kills efficiently.

I look to the window of his room and he soon turns off the lights to go to bed, giving me a easy access point. It only take a second for me to go where I need to. The agency relates my power to a type of teleportation since I can technically go through matter. In only a moment, I am in his room. This tyrannical bastard is going to have his final moments by my hand. Slipping into shadows isn't all I can do with them. I step out of the darkness of his wall with a black blade in my hand I brought with me from that very same darkness. I approach the side and have no hesitation as I thrust the blade right for his neck however as if it was fate, the very next moment before my blade could meet his neck the large window of his room shattered into a million pieces and came crashing into the room alongside the cause of the window breaking. There I saw her for the first time, the strongest person on this planet, Stellar Starlight. She wore a dark blue body suit with a giant star on her chest. The suit also seemed to sparkle like stars and hand some silver stripes on it going around her thighs and upper arms. Her boots also match her overall color theme with the sparkling dark blue and silver lining on the collar and tongue of the boot. She wore a domino mask on her face that seemed to have some kind of technology that made it hard to see her face. All I had was the short time period to see her. To be exact I had one second. Because as soon as she came, I had to leave.

Had I hesitated at all, with her powers, she'd have grabbed me right away. I think the only thing that saved me was probably her not expecting me to be there. As I make my exit I see that she was standing in the exact spot I was just a moment ago. Who know what she would have done to me. I've seen her stop a train with one hand, I don't want to be in her grip. This is bad though, because of her my job is ruined. We work for the same organization so why is she even there? I need to go back to HQ to see what's going on with that. Back on the building I was standing on prior to entering his room. I see Stellar Starlight had turned the light on, probably looking for me. I don't know how well she saw me but hopefully she thinks I was a ghost.
