Grim Reaper

The bullet flew through, hitting Asper head on causing him to fall over and slide across the floor.

"Target hit."

The other four hunters who were in front of him, had just about finished recovering and quickly put their sights on Asper. Right before they could fire, no, right before Asper had finished slidding across the floor, he quickly turned his body before charging right at them.

His left arm swayed in a strange manner, almost as if it was unusable as he charged towards the nearest guy.

*BRRRR*

This caused the sniper's eyes to widen.

Asper was fast, however not unbelievably fast, the human eye could still track him, so could they. And he couldn't out speed bullets, nowhere close. His movements were light however, he used this as an advantage to angle himself in a place where he wouldn't get shot. Then he'd counter. That was his way of fighting.

'…? What's the meaning of this?' He wondered.

23s…

Three of the five rapidly fired at Asper while the other two fired towards the direction he was going. It was perfect. An open field with 5 different people firing at one target, even if the target was fast, speed alone wouldn't guarantee it's survival.

However, Asper's survival was already guaranteed.

<Adapted to bullet speed>

***

It was the one notification which he had gotten in the middle of the spree of gunfires, however it was this notification which would change the tide of the battle.

The sniper scoped in on Asper's figure and noticed that there was a deep wound on the top corner of Asper's shoulder rather than his head. He was certain he had shot at the head so if he hit the shoulder that could only mean…

'He sacrificed his shoulder to block it at the last second…?'

The joy on their faces as the belief that they had finally trapped Asper slowly faded as they noticed nothing none of the bullets were hitting.

Asper was swaying through and before they had even realized it, he had reached one of them, thrusting two of his fingers into the man's eyes as he let electricity flow out, all in the same instant.

*BZZZT*

The others temporarily ceased fire for a moment so that they wouldn't shoot their comrade as they watched as the man groaned out in pain as his brain was fried from within.

"GAAAHHHH!!!!!" He yelled out before falling over with Asper.

<You have slain a hunter>

Right before both Asper and the man's corpse could touch the floor. Asper used his corpse as a stepping stone before leaping at the next hunter who had been around 2 meters to his left.

The figure of Asper heading right towards the hunter, seemed to play in slow motion in his mind as the terror began to sink in of all the possibilities of what could happen to him.

In that moment, he subconsciously held down on the trigger, causing bullets to pour out. His stance, his grip and the way he held the rifle was completely wrong, his mind was clouded in fear, it was too late for him.

As the bullets from his gun went flying around in multiple directions, showing no signs of hitting Asper, in this moment of life and death the three remaining behind him decided to abandon him.

*DUDUDUDUDU!* *PRRRRRRRRRR* *KRKRKRKRRRRRRRRR*

Asper noticed this, and quickly rotated his body 180 degrees mid air as his momentum was still heading towards the hunter. Due to the sudden rotation, he ended up slamming his legs onto the Hunter's chest, before using it as footing and leaping off of it.

He landed on his back, sliding down as he watched the man who he was about to kill get filled with holes. Had he not reacted in time, that would have been him.

*CLUNK* *CLUNK* *CLUNK*

After showering their teammate with bullets, the three guys all repeatedly pressed their triggers, but nothing came out.

"R-RELOA-"

The man was interrupted as a knife suddenly pierced him on his head.

The other two besides him who noticed this, felt cold sweats flow down their faces as they looked at Asper who was there on the floor, around ten meters away from them. He had his arm stretched out and extended pointed in the direction of the man who had just been impaled by a knife.

29s…

Asper slowly got up and began walking towards them, swaying left and right as he did. His left shoulder seemed badly injured as the top was coated with blood matching his blood stained hair.

The sight of Asper approaching them, brought only one being to their mind.

The grim reaper.

[How long till the next report? Is it over?]

"Yeah, I'm leaving. It's over. They lost."

[Huh? What are you-]

The sniper cut this signal off before staring into the sky.

His short brown hair seemed to sway with the wind as he smiled in an attempt to fool himself..

"If that guy remembers me, I'm fucked. Easy job they said… You'll be safe they said… It's time I quit." He muttered as he began walking in the opposite direction. "I have no talent for killing anyways." He added with a smirk.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

"THIS KID'S A MONS-"

Screams of terror and fear could be heard coming from behind him but he didn't look back. He was too scared to.

Damp, dimly lit halls.

*Step* *Step* *Step*

The sound of footsteps could be heard as Asper made his way inside of the factory. His eyes being covered by his hair made it difficult to tell what sort of expression he was making.

His arms were shaking and he could feel shivers passing throughout his body.

It wasn't a comfortable feeling, the exact opposite of it, but what could he expect? He had just murdered countless people.

"System, what are my stats." He asked as he continued to walk down the halls.
