First Wave Completed.

In that instant, Asper leapt to the side, avoiding the collision of the swarms from both sides.

*SQUEAK!!!*

Giant rats which were 1 meter tall. Due to their sudden movement and charge the two swarms collided with one another, stopping each of the rats one by one. Asper seized this chance and made his move before they could fill the room.

*Slash!* *Slash!* *Slash!*

<You have slain a giant rat!>

<You have slain a giant rat!>

<You have…>

Asper dashed past the rats which had collided. Slashing at each and everyone of their heads with every opportunity.

'The fur's too soft and hard!' He exclaimed in his mind. 'Don't send killing notifications and leveling up notifications, for the next half an hour.'

<Confirmed!>

Their fur was overgrown, rough and dirty making it harder to cut through. Because of that, he was only able to take out a third of the ones he had slashed.

Despite that, he didn't stop. Asper continued to run, swinging his knives without a moments rest.

*Slash!* *Slash!*

Purple blood splattered around the floor and the other rats as the ones injured screeched out in pain.

*SCREEEECH!*

Asper was doing whatever he could not to get hit, there was no telling what sort of infections they could have on them.

"!"

Before Asper had even realized it, he was just about to reach the wall. One by one, the giant rats, lunged at him upon seeing as he was about to reach a dead end.

Asper however, did the unthinkable before quickly shouting in his mind. 'Apply 10 points into strength!'

<Applying 10 points into strength, con->

The system was interrupted as Asper shouted "Confirm!"

<Confirmed.>

As he leapt up onto the wall and pulled back his arms. He felt a jolt of electricity pass through his body as his muscles slightly expanded and his physique hardened.

*Pierce.*

The moment he made contact with the wall, he gripped tightly onto the knives before swinging his arms forward, piercing into the wall with the blades as he did so.

Asper made sure not to let go and stayed stuck to the wall by gripping onto the knives embedded in them. Seeing this, the rats began to swarm around beneath him, trying to leap up to reach him.

One of them ended up scratching him as it leapt up.

'Fuck-' Asper cursed before swinging his legs up and balancing himself with his arms.

While he was on a handstand, he quickly surveyed the area, the giant rats were agitated, slowly rising up by using their bodies to climb up as they swarmed around.

He didn't have much time.

'No grenades, no tools, all my skills are close-combat ranged. No metals I can test my skill out on either.'

*SCREECH!* *SCREEEECH!*

The screeching was really starting to piss Asper off, it was distracting.

<Adapted to Giant Rat's Poison>

<Adapted to wound!>

<Wound Sterilized!>

The moment Asper saw these notifications, it suddenly hit him.

"Why am I avoiding getting hit?" He asked. A grin suddenly formed on his face as he said. "Isn't this the best opportunity to get a poison resistance skill and level up other skills…"

Once he realized it, Asper gripped the knives tightly before tucking his legs in and making his feet face the wall.

He tightened his grip on the knives before suddenly-

*CRACK!*

Asper leapt off the wall, pulling out the knives as he did so. After a short leap, he landed straight on top one of the rats, piercing down at it's head from above.

Purple blood splattered on Asper's face before the monster's movements seized. Following that, simultaneously, from all directions.

*Slash!* *Slash!* *Slash!* *Slash!*

4 Slashes simultaneous from two different swings, all in the moment. However, it couldn't stop the swarm.

*Slash!* *Slash!* *Clang!*

Asper's blade collided with the rat's teeth before he was suddenly consumed by the swarm of giant rats.

'It hurts… It fucking hurts!'

They bit and chipped at his arms and legs but he didn't stop swinging. Taking them down one by one from the inside of the piles of their corpses.

<Adapted to pain!>

<Adapted to wound!>

<Due to adaptation! Skill Pain resistance temporarily amplified to LV.3!>

*Splatter*

<Adapted to wound!>

Asper couldn't see anything from all the bodies and nasty fur on his face. But he didn't stop. Even with all the pain, he kept going. He used his left hand to protect his groin while swinging endlessly with his right.

<Emergency! Health below 40!%>

<Adapted to wound!>

<Adapted to poison!>

*Clink!*

Asper pressed on a button on both knives, and blade of energy suddenly popped out. The reason he hadn't used it earlier was due to having forgot to charge them at home, but by using his skill <Electricity> to circulate electricity through it, he was able to power it on.

In that instant.

*Sla-Sla-Slash!*

Three slashes followed by blue electric lines lit up the inside of the swarm and cut the giant rats in it's path forming a small triangle shaped hole, allowing light to seep into the inside of the swarm. The hole was quickly closed up again by the giant rats.

The swarm felt endless, but Asper repeated this, over and over again. The reason he didn't want to use electricity to power up the energy knifes was because it consumed magic power.

Adaptations didn't require much MP, but active skills did. Asper's health and MP would need to last for him to survive.

Furthermore, if there were more waves, which Asper was hoping not to be the case, he'd need energy and power to deal with those.

Slashing and Slashing and Slashing.

Asper continued to rip and shred without catching a single breath. The adaptations kept resounding on his mind, but that didn't stop him.

*Slash!* *SLASH!*

The number of attacks were growing dimmer and dimmer.

Seconds which felt like minutes and minutes which felt like hours passed. Before Asper had realized it, he was the last one standing on a pile of corpses.
