I woke up missing the warmth beside me. I turned to the other side to notice Zach wasn't there, I went to the washroom empty, kitchen counter empty. Suddenly an emptiness started to fill me I felt like crying. I felt like I was losing my mind I wanted to cry my heart out I felt abandoned.Once again.

Just this time it hurt more. I turned my gaze to the table in the living room and it had his laptop on it. A ray of hope.

Maybe he left to get something.Maybe he will be back in a minute or so with this thought I moved to the laptop and found a note below it.

"Hey, Amy,I am sorry I had to leave early. Some important things came up.I won't be able to make it today but I will meet you tomorrow in office and I left my laptop so that you can go through the course and study whatever is necessary, it doesn't have a password but put one when you open it.Take care and call me if you need anything.Love,Zach"

Ok, so he didn't abandon me. A smile crept onto my face and then I did my bed, cleaned my home a little, and thought of visiting Zander and Lucy.After the shower, I texted Zander to come near the diner at the end of the town and the beginning of the forest to collect me as I took a cab to the diner.When I reached the diner Zander was already waiting with his truck, I don't know why he used this even when he had an eloquent collection of top-grade cars.

"Hey Al", I said rushing towards him with my arms open. I referred to him as Al only when I was very happy and today I was cause I was meeting him after days.

"Hey kiddo, Come on Beth has prepared the brunch already and is angry as you didn't come over yesterday", he said returning the hud and patting my shoulder.

I giggled as we walked over to the truck and I took my seat.Zander hardly had his radio on cause you know he is 'a serious guy' according to him and an old one according to me.

I turned the radio on and tuned channel was playing Something Just Like This by Coldplay and I started singing along as Zander drove and glared at me.As soon as I reached their house or rather castle Beth walked over to me and engulfed me in a bone-breaking hug.

"I missed you so much", she said not breaking the hug"Beth I missed you too but if you don't leave me now well you will have to miss me for the rest of your life"

Zander giggled at my comment.

"Oh come on old man. You don't miss your sister and hand her over to some man", she was cut by Zander, "First I haven't handed her over, second my love I do miss my sister and some man you are talking about is Zach and he won't hurt her ever", he said with confidence.

"Just a sec", I interrupted the love birds conversation glaring at them.

"Are you both discussing my life behind my back?"

"Oh no no sweety. Just that Zach called to know about you that's it.", Beth said smiling.By now my palms were sweaty, "What.. what did you tell him?", I muttered out with all the courage I had, what if he gets to know who I am? What if he is angry because I hid it from him?

"Amy", Zander said turning me towards him, " We know your secret should be hidden and trust me we told him nothing he didn't know already."

"And your secret is yours to tell. We are just there to support you.",Beth said reassuringly.I smiled at them and said, "So let's go have our brunch before it turns to lunch", trying to break the tension.

They both laughed at my comment and we lead our way to the large dining hall. Basically, this house was used by a lot of families but was owned by Zander, and today being Sunday most of them were in town shopping and watching movies.

Soon Xavier came and joined us at the table."Hey Xavier", I greeted him

"Hmm hey"

"Why are you sulking?", I asked because of his clear frowning face

"Cami is angry again"

Camille is Xavier's girlfriend and is the eldest among us ladies, we call her Cami and she is very sweet but currently pregnant and therefore unpredictable.

"You stupid man", Cami barged in, "You left your pregnant girlfriend alone"She was clearly angry.

"Hey Cami", I waved trying to cool her down

"Hey sweetie, how are you? And where have you been?", she asked taking a seat beside me.

"I am fine. How is the baby?"

"Well, he/she is doing great. But the father is an idiot", she replied glaring at Xavier

"But you told me to leave you alone", Xavier replied innocently

"I was an angry fool", Cami replied with a tear falling from her eye.

Pregnancy and mood swings, I thought to myself."Hey hey, baby don't cry. I'm here and I promise I won't go anywhere", Xavier came beside Cami cooing her.

Zander motioned me to pick up the plate and move to the living room, they surely needed some time alone.

As soon as we walked out from the room Beth said," Poor Xavier", with a hint of pity whereas Xander and I busted into laughter and Beth gaped at us.

"Do you two have feelings and Xander you", she turned towards him with her hands on her hip, " I can't imagine how bad you will be when I'm, pregnant and you little kid", she said glaring at me, like I was just a year younger but she was angry, "think what happens if Zach doesn't treat you like Xavier when you are pregnant"And she stomped out to her room
