BEGINNING OF THE STORM

The night before the conference.

The moon was full and extra bright. After having dinner with her disciples, Megara was on her way to her room. Her mind was in upheaval once again. Evandros must be knowledgeable about the conference. What does he plan to do? He won't sit back and wait for the disaster to arrive at his door.

He rather walks up to the disaster.

There were fewer chances for things to go smoothly and more chances for things to get messed up. They were doing everything feasible to deter any catastrophe but deep down everyone knew they were standing on the stake of death.

Uncle Zale will declare openly tomorrow that he has two stones in his possession. This alone can bring chaos but everyone knows Uncle Zale would never do such a thing.

Just she feels like she is skipping out on something.

Half of the masters in the Sect also passed her looks...saying Evandros would demolish the Sect due to his personal beef with Megara.

Of course, no disciple dare even gaze at her but she knew even they were cursing her behind her back. Things are so messed up in her life...she was forced to come to this conclusion.

Once her disciples are powerful enough, she will hand Luna to them and vanish forever. After all, she wasn't the true descendant of the Sect, and Uncle Zale had a son who will take over the throne anytime.

With a heavy sigh, she almost reached her room when she heard the loud wailing of a child. She stilled for a second before abruptly turning around. A slight frown grazed her face when she saw little Luna coming towards her while crying.

She didn't stop even when she reached Megara, instead, she kept running and embraced Megara's legs. Megara put her hand on the child's head, trying to soothe her. Patiently waiting for her to calm down so she can ask her what happened.

But the child wasn't calming down.

Megara grabbed her shoulders and pulled the little one back. "What happened?" She asked with concern filled in her tone and in her eyes.

"Brother, S-Sister...f-fighting." She stammered and rubbed her eyes with both of her hands, trying to control her tears. Megara's eyes sharpened as she gulped. The thing she feared the most seems to be lurking around her at the moment.

She straightened her stance and rubbed Luna's head. "Where are they?" She raised a question and the little one pointed toward the direction she came running from. They were still in the eating house of the Sect.

She looked down at the kid, not knowing how to calm her she only rubbed her hand on her head before walking past her. "Let's go." She instructed and quickly surged towards the house where the conflict between her disciples and Caesar's disciple was currently taking place.

Since her disciples were only four...they were nothing against Caesar's whole class. He was among the best masters of the denomination. Quarreling between disciples was all fine but when she noticed Caesar sitting on the buffer nearby, eyeing the scene with utmost satisfaction. It triggered her but she couldn't say anything. She can't believe...the outcome of her sins has finally reached her disciples.

Why did this man have to do such things before the conference? Everyone was already stressed out. What kind of a master is he? Is this what he instructs his disciples?

Seeing Syloson on the ground with blood dripping down his forehead, and her other disciple struggling. Her jaw twitched and she walked up to them, stopping the useless attack of fire with her chain barrier, once everyone saw the chains they scooted back, looking towards Caesar.

"Master," Darcy said happily while helping Syloson up. "You guys okay? Syloson?" Megara asked while side-gazing at her disciples. "Yes, I'm fine," Syloson said and stopped his blood while pressing his napkin on the wound.

Megara drew the barrier back and saw Caesar standing in front of her, between his disciples.

"Is this what you teach your disciples?" Megara asked sternly and he snorted. "Sorry to break it to you but it was your disciple who started the physical combat. They couldn't comprehend their master's truth...they couldn't defend her sins." Caesar mused in sheer satisfaction. He was revealing her in front of her disciples.

"Master, Master...they saw you slaughtered your master and because of that his family suffered and perished as well. They said you also slaughtered current Lord Linya's mother and that's why he is after you. Because of this...the Linya almost demolished half of the Scarlet Blossom Sect back then. It's unimaginable, you would never do such a thing." Ida said loudly, she was frantic to hear the reality from her master. Ida wanted her to proclaim that they were telling a misconception but she heard nothing from her master.

Megara stood still, deadly staring into Caesar's eyes but she lowered her gaze once she realized...it was because of her that he lost his parents. She was the main root of the tragedy.

Blossom didn't know what to say but this was the truth that was going to be exposed sooner or later. She is surprised that she was getting exposed now when the deed should have been done long ago by the people who reside hatred in their hearts for her.

Before she could say anything, a small hand grasped hers.

Megara looked down and found little Luna glaring at Caesar and his disciples with unshakeable courage. Wasn't she just crying right now?

"Master is the best. Who are you to blame her?" She yelled at the grown man. Caesar arched a perfect brow, staring at the little one with sheer amusement and slight agitation.

"Yes, whatever it was. It was in the past." Helice stepped forward as well. Megara expected this from them. She clearly understood them but she understood the man standing in front of her as well.

It was a play of feelings and perception.

"Oh...I would love to see that trust shattering." Caesar said and ordered his disciples to move back, and with that, he also turned around and walked away with half of his conversation pending.

Megara looked down at Luna still holding onto her hand. The atmosphere was tense in them. Without looking back she ordered them to go to the healing chamber before departing to their respective rooms. She knew they had so much on their minds and wanted answers but she just doesn't know what to say when Caesar already told them everything.

Once all four of them were gone, the people around also settled down, whispering things to each other about her. Megara turned deaf ears to them as she paid for the broken tables in the house. Once she was done paying, she looked down at Luna who was still holding onto her hand.

Fully turning towards her, Megara grabbed her shoulder. She looked up at her sadly. Megara passed her a faint smile which she forced on her lips. For some reason, the girl was staring at her with a weird expression.

An expression filled with so much emotion.

That little child knew how to show emotions more than she did.

"Let's go." She said and clasped her little hand in hers. "Good night." Luna bowed at Megara before going inside her rook which she shared with Ida and Helice. Megara stood there for a while, staring at the door blankly. The little one wanted to say something...that's why Megara led her to her room, thinking she might speak up while they were walking but the girl was silent the whole time. It wasn't like her. Of course, the child must be disturbed by the sudden events today. Megara shrugged the uneasiness and proceeded to make her way toward her room.

Her eyes focused on the bright moon.

She was not the only one staring at the bright moon with a heavy heart....there was someone else staring at it as well...sitting on the rooftop of his manor, Evandros gazed at the beautiful moon. After tomorrow the fire in his heart will vanish and his heart will turn to ashes forever. The only emotion he had in him was the fire of revenge once it's gone, even his ashes will fly away with the breeze.

There is no chance of him losing, so he will just patiently wait for tomorrow, recalling their past and her for the one last time.

Recalling her for the one last time and then he will recall her betrayal so that his calm demon can be stimulated.

Their end was here.
