---------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday morning in Sowei City, yet another typical day following the defeat of the Black Island Mafia. Birds were chirping and flowers blooming, as a decorated carriage was coming to town.
"Where's all the fanfare?" One of the men in the carriage asked. "Do these people not realize that a hero is blessing them with his presence?"
"Calm down, I'm sure you'll be getting lots of fanfare soon enough." The other man said.
As they passed by the city, the two men were gazing at it in awe. The locals seemed happy, a once rare sight in all of Soweiland. A huge bronze statue of an archer was standing proud in the central square of the city, as the black blue and yellow flag of Soweiland was waving in the wind, proudly displayed on nearly every building.
"Place really has changed since we were last here, huh?" The first man pointed out.
"I wonder what the new king is like." The other man mentioned.
"KING!? Hell no! Casey Kane did NOT get rid of the King, just for a new one to show up! Take us to the castle! Immediately!"
"Yes Sir!"
______________________________________________________________________
Inside the castle, the Soweiland High Council was busy at work. The weekly assembly was currently taking place.
"And that should be all the progress with the local hospital." Leo said, as he looked through his clipboard. "Acceptable job, Nick."
"Acceptable? I'd like to see you do it!" Nick complained.
"Relax, dude. It was compliment." Leo said. Nick pouted in response.
"Nevertheless, I believe we should address the matter of Soweiland Penitentiary." Lucius interrupted.
"I've already commissioned blueprints to be made for a lower security prison to be built on one of our islands." Geowar said.
"My assistant is personally handling the project." Dr. Parr added.
"I have discussed the matter of the prisoner transport with the acting chief of police, Rowan Callaghan, and the army department." Renee said.
"It's true." Achilleas O'Lop added. "Admiral Mason and General Douglas have offered to handle the operation."
"Terrific. Does anyone have anything to add?" Leo asked.
"Yeah! I do!" A different voice was heard, from outside the room. Suddenly Casey Kane kicked in the door of the meetings room.
"Boy, this door will just not stop breaking." Lucius mentioned, recalling an incident from a few months ago.
"Don't look at the door, look at me!" Kane exclaimed.
"Who the hell is this charlatan?" Leo asked. "And where's Jess?"
"Charlatan!? I'll have you know, I'm the reason you're here calling me that!" Kane yelled. "I'm Casey Kane! Hero of the Sowei Revolution!"
An awkward silence consumed the room, as the councilors started at the man, giving him puzzled looks. The revolutionary looked at them in awe.
"Who?" Geowar broke the silence.
"Cassandrian Kane." Lucius said. "The guy who inspired this revolution."
"Thank you!" Kane said. "For a second I thought nobody knew who I was!"
"The news were speaking of our return a few months ago, Cassandrian. Why have you decided to make your presence know now?" Lucius asked the man.
"I took the slow route. I'm a sightseer, ol' me." Kane boasted.
"Enough of this! Who do you think you are, breaking into the meeting room!" Leo interrogated Kane.
"It's not as rare an occurrence as you make it out..." Nick commented.
"Shut up!" Leo snapped back.
"A little birdie told me you decided to assign a monarch to MY COUNTRY!" Kane explained. "I fought to abolish the monarchy!"
"You didn't fight, first of all-" Leo tried to say before being interrupted.
"Did so!"
"Did not! And in addition, this is a different king? Can you believe this?"
"Well where's this king? Tell him to come here so I'll show him a piece of my mind!" Kane said, as he took a fighting stance and started fake punching Leo. Leo responded by creating a spring construct and flinging him to a wall.
"The king would be me, Cassandrian." Lucius said as he walked over to the knocked down man. "And I assure you, I have nothing in common with Frederick Gaspar."
"Psh, you monarchs are all the same!" Kane said as he got up. "And you!" He turned to face Leo. "I don't know what you did to me, but this isn't over!"
Kane walked directly out of the room, while the council was staring at him. He then called out to Koulis, who was fighting with Jessie at the reception office.
"Dude! I told you to restrain her, not beat this poor, minimum wage worker up! Let's go!" He said.
"Minimum wage worker!?" Jessie exclaimed. "I'll have you know-"
"Don't care, pretty face." Kane interrupted. "Goodbye."
Kane left the castle, leaving Jessie bewildered and the others in shock.
"Dad! Arrest him!" Jessie screamed.
"We should probably send someone to talk to him." Leo pointed out.

Casey Kane then travelled for another 30 minutes in order to reach his home town; Linam.
He was impressed by how different the city seemed. The tall buildings remained, but it was a lot brighter than usual.
He caught glimpse of a police officer helping a kid get it's cat out of a tree, something unheard of only a few months ago. Much like the capital of the newly established state, the people of this city also seemed much happier.
Kane was bewildered at the state of his home city. He was glad the people were doing well, but in his eyes, they were still being oppressed by some monarch.
"What gives?" he thought, as he took a left turn and was met by a ginormous building that wasn't there before.
"What in the world?" He asked. "What the hell is a 'Champion Gym'?"
"I think it's a gym." Koulis commented.
"Don't snark me!" Kane snapped. "Now get out of the carriage, we're checking this out."
The two entered the building through a glass door. The reception was grand, with a yellow carpet laid out leading to the front desk, contrasting the black and grey walls. Several posters and newspaper articles featuring a man in his twenties were framed on the hallway leading to the desk.
And there he was, a man wearing a white tank top, jeans and sunglasses, sticking out of the elegant entrance like a sore thumb. But Kane wasn't stupid, he recognized who he was.
The man from the posters.
Angelo Baitanez.
"Wow, ego much?" Kane whispered at his companion, who rolled his eyes at the irony.
Angelo was lounged back at the front desk, talking on his phone, looking really proud of himself.
"Yeah and the guy got my damn name wrong! That douchebag! So I beat his ass up. Yeah, it was all over the news." Angelo said, not noticing the pair walking up to his desk.
"Eh-hem." Kane fake-coughed in the most douche-baggy way possible.
"Oh, sorry babe, there's a hotshot here. I'll call you back." Angelo said and turned off the phone. "How can I help you, pal?"
"When did this happen?" Kane asked.
"Hay wait a minute... I recognize you... You're what's-your-face..."
"Casey Kane."
"Oh yeah! The fake news guy!"
"'Fake news guy'? What's that supposed to mean?" Kane asked.
"Yeah the tabloids were all over your case few months back. 'KC is coming home!' They said." Angelo clarified.
"You... don't know who I am?" Kane said, annoyed yet impressed.
"Nah, wouldn't know. Just came back in town, y'know." Angelo brushed him off. "Anyway, you interested in a membership, pal?"
"Hey if you're new in town then when'd you build all this!?" Kane interrogated the athlete.
"Opened 3 months ago, been here for 5. There a problem?"
"Yeah, 'pal'! This is MY city!" Kane got up in the champion's face, who was clearly losing his patience.
"Hey pal, I was born and raised here. This city is mine too." Angelo said. "Now get a membership, or get lost, yeah?"
Kane backed off, and considered his options.
"Y'know what..." Kane finally said. "You're not that bad. Where do I sign?"

"Why did you accept his offer? You didn't seem to like him?" Koulis asked once they got out of the gym.
"He's rich, and I needed a gym. 'Sides, he was a pretty stand up guy, for a rich windbag." Kane explained. "He also mentioned something about tabloids..."
"Soweiland News?"
"Immediately."
______________________________________________________________________
"SOLEMAN YOU SKANK!" Kane yelled at the top of his lungs once he got into the Soweiland News building, making everyone in the messy environment stop and look at him.
The Soweiland News building was full of reporters, interviewers, interns and editors running around like crazy people trying to get the next day's paper out. The building was old and dusty, mostly painted gray, but the paint was fading.
"May I help you, sir?" The receptionist asked.
"Let's just say I got an 'appointment' with some Theodore Soleman." Kane said. "I'm here to work on some 'restructuring'."
"There are no meetings registered here-"
"That's because I'm here to restructure his face." Kane interrupted.
"What?"
"What?"
"Anyway Mr. Soleman is available-" The receptionist said, but was swiftly interrupted.
"That's all I needed to hear. Ta-ta sweet cheeks." Kane said, and ran to the elevator, throwing an unpaid intern out of it in order to take his place.
He took the elevator all the way to the 15th floor, occupied by none other than Theodore Soleman's office.
The office was encased in glass walls, with a white ceiling and floor. It was empty, aside from Soleman's desk and two armchairs next to it.
"Cass Kane! My rising star! Welcome back to town!" Theodore greeted the revolutionary, and extended his arm for a handshake, which Kane promptly slapped away.
"Listen here you snake, you better not have been talking shit a bout me while I was away!" Kane threatened.
"Oh quite the opposite! The entire world knows about your work, friend!" Soleman enthusiastically announced, not seeming even abit bothered by his hand being slapped.
"What?" Kane asked.
"Oh yes, the tabloids have been going mad. The paparazzi are waiting for your next speech with such excitement!" Soleman clarified.
"Why would you help my cause?" Kane said, seemingly calmed down.
"Why, money, of course!" Soleman excitedly said, and winked at the confused man. "I'll keep on this charade of free advertisement if you promise me you'll give me 50% of your profits."
"What profits? I don't own a business, you dolt!"
Kane was shortly removed from the premises of the Soweiland News building.

The final stop of Casey Kane's trip to the city was the place where it all began.
The hill of Linam City, complete with it's stunning view pf the Sowei City Castle.
The place was mostly untouched since he had left it. The only new thing was a marble plaque at the edge of the cliff. It was a memorial to all the soldiers who died in the Sowei Revolution.
"'Donated by Luke Pascal'." Kane read the inscription at the bottom. "He must be a great man." He said.
Kane and Koulis both began setting up the camp again shortly after that. The familiar green tent from before was back, and so were the wooden desk and chairs.
By nightfall, the pair was done setting up camp, and went to sleep, deep in thought.
______________________________________________________________________
The next morning, they were both rudely awoken by a bright flash of yellow light.
"What the devil? This tent has no windows!" Kane said, rubbing his eyes.
The source of light revealed himself to be Geowar, dressed in his most professional outfit, consisting of a suit and tie that he had bought a while ago.
"My apologies. I was under the assumption you would be awake by now, Mr. Kane." Geowar said.
"Hey you're that guy from the council yesterday!" Kane jumped out of his makeshift bed. "What are you doing in my house!"
"I love the decor..." Geowar commented, although his smooth voice was covering the sarcasm.
"What's your name, kid?" Kane asked, jabbing a finger at the man's face.
"I am Geowar." Geowar bowed deeply. "And I assure you, I am no child. I am 1700 years old."
"Just Geowar?" Kane asked, deciding not to address Geowar's alleged age.
"Precisely."
"So what brings you to my humble abode, 'just Geowar'?" Kane asked, walking circles around the floating man, with his hands behind his back, as if examining him.
"I am the acting Minister of External Affairs and core member of the Soweiland High Council. I am here to talk to you on behalf of his majesty, King Lucius. And Leo." Geowar said.
"Uh huh."
"King Lucius wants to confirm there will be no problems between you and the throne moving forward." Geowar explained.
"What kinda problems?" Kane asked, still walking in circles.
"Don't play dumb. We are all aware of your 'Elite Devoted'." Geowar sternly said.
"The militia I formed back in the day. I heard they joined the revolution too."
"Correct. I believe you can understand where I'm aiming at." Geowar raised an eyebrow. Kane smirked.
"I won't send my murder squad at you." Kane paused.
Geowar narrowed his eyelids.
"If and only if, you let me move forward with my speeches as per the usual." Kane continued.
"This is a free country. Do as you please." Geowar said.
"Terrific." Kane mocked. "Now scram, I'm busy."
Geowar glared at the grinning man, and with another flash of yellow light, Kane was alone in the tent with Koulis again.
"Get up, kid. We're going hunting." Kane said once he made sure the coast was clear.
"Hunting what?" Koulis asked.
"Elite Devoted. I know for a fact they're around here somewhere."

Thanks to his visit at the Soweiland News building, the news of Kane's return spread like wildfire, to varying reactions.
The police department was in disarray, as calls with reports of crazed Kane fans going wild at the streets flooded the phone lines.
The criminals of Black Island partied for days, seeing as this return diverted the attention of the ministry and the police department away from them.
After the news of Kane's membership in Champion Gym went public, the place flooded even more than before, bringing Angelo Baitanez even more money.
And in the backstreets of Linam, one Joseph Gray was plotting again. Kewmed's return made it a whole lot easier for him to take revenge on the man who ruined his life.
At least according to him.
