Chapter 49: Pearls are not for Pigs

Lila and Natalina are currently strolling at the Myrrh Cinnamon Garden when Eyel came in with a report from the maids she was training with at El Oathniel Palace.

"Greetings Lila and Natalina, I was hesitatant to tell you about the rumours going on within the palace but I do believe that you need to hear this. The rebellious fraction are starting to doubt Lila's inability to bear children, hence they are proposing a new wife to bear the prince's child. "

Lila was threatened by the rumours. It may not be that baseless but it can be a way to worm their way within the palace. Lila thanked Eyel for taking the courage to report unto her despite her hesitation. Lila paced as gracefully as possible to Queen Gardenia's palace she bump unto Lehi who was heading the same way.

"Lila, I have heared some rumours and I have to confirm it with the queen. "

Lila just gave her a slight smile that spoke of her sadness. She is quite affected. Words coming from nobles was like a knife upon her chest. She needs to adapt and be ardent against their argument about her. When Lehi and Lila entered the Queen's private office the queen tilted her head in understanding. It already reached her ears.

"Greetings to our Queen, May your prayers ascend blessing the El Oathniel Kingdom. " Lehi and Lila greeted in unison.

"You are here about the rumours of Kiel's arising wife, right? " Gardenia delivered the word not of a question but more like a reminder and even added a phrase that struck Lila.

"So, why are you surprised Lila? Didn't I mention that one of a woman's duty within the royal family is to conceive and give birth."

Lila was speechless, Queen Gardenia was right. She enjoyed being Kiel's wife that she have forgotten Kiel's responsibility and line.

"I understand mother, I will discuss this with Kiel." Lila said as she bowed her head with determination.

"Good, Lila please don't make your people doubt or worry. The main design of marraige is bearing a new generation. Please keep that in mind. Protect your ground as Kiel's wife. I don't want any parasite to worm their way within the palace. "

Lila grinned at Queen Gardenia's words. She is supported by the Queen regardless of any argument thrown unto her. Lila exited to leave Lehi lay down her concern.

"Your Highness I am here about the upcoming gala. I was infromed that this year I am assigned as your right hand in hosting the event. " Lehi quarried.

"Oh, yes. Here are some of the papers. I am assigning you for the flow, ambiance and theme. Please surprise us. " Queen Gardenia answered as she hand her a file of the previous event for reference. Lehi gracefully and politely excused herself.

Nevi Guadalupe studied the surrounding. This place was like a fantasy but he can touch everything. All felt like a dream to him. When he first arrived, Novena had instructed her that his choices and decision within this era will be carried out in their own. When he finally met Lehi, he was glad that she is doing well and fine. He was informed by Novena about Lehi and Ophir's wedding which he attended secretly. Nevi can't go against Lehi's decision she seems to be inlove with Ophir. He knew before that Lehi admired her and he also understand that it was just a passing crush. Nevi respect Lehi as a sister who is serving the orphanage. Nevi knew that Ophir and Lehi have something hallow and he got no right to halt that. Well it boasted his ego when Ophir was jealous and envous of him. And now he is having an intense combat training with Ophir. For some reason he can feel that his attacks are personal and he can't blame him. Hexel is also gearing up to join the sparring and Nevi can't help but allow his stomach to growl.

Lehi studied all the previous event and she wanted to celebrate the event outdoor. She asked Mem and Lehi to locate the nearest tree garden that bears flower within the Kingdom.

If she remember it correctly. It's December and it will be the time where the waterfall opens it's curtain sorrounding the Kingdom and the whole month is in pigment of rainbows.

Eyel and Mem came with a report that the only vast garden within the Kingdom was the Cinderella Garden encircled by the lotus swamp. Lehi thought that it would be the perfect spot for boating and picnic.

Gardenia immediately approved of the proposal and started preparing all that they needed. Boat for ridding and blankets for picnic and a bonfire in the evening. Lila requested that instead of fireworks they will release a lantern up in the sky with prayers tied at the thread.

The boat ridding was set as competitive game. The picnic ground were bustling with cheers and greetings while at the evening Cyrus and Gardenia opened the lantern floating by instructions and inspirational speech. The day ended with the people seeing the rainbow transcended into a lantern that courted the Cinderella flower to bloom by midnight. Kiel closed the event with a prayer.

"Our God who have allowed this wonderful fellowship to occur. We praise and exalt you. It was because of your glory and miracles that we are gathered here to celebrate and surrender our alms and offering this year. As we we go through and face new years to come. We humbly asked of your endless guidance and support to prune and mature us. We are in full gratitude of your abounding love and destiny for us. Escort us to our home as we depart from this place. The people offered one song lead by the tent-dwelling women. They waltz with the sound of harp as the starless night unweave the upcoming twilight. Certainly this memories are pearls not for pigs but for century holders.
