Chapter 48: EL ELOHE

Lehi noticed how Ophir remain quiet ever since Nevi was introduced. She did not know what they talk about when they were left alone but Ophir was just soundless. He is not sulking nor pouting. He was just silent, which for Lehi was a new side of him. The air was not heavy nor burdening rather it's lacking in dexterity. Lehi cleared her throat to get his attention but he did not respond. Lehi tried to cough but was epic because it was obviously scripted. Lehi started to toss under their blanket but Ophir had his back on her. Lehi can feel her crimson flushed reach her shoulder because of shame. If she can't win her husband cutely then she will do it oddly.

Ophir bit his lower lip. He steadied himself and cached his laughter. He heared how fake her cough was. And he knew that she purposefully tossed around to get his attention. When he heared her snore, He sat down to pick up the blanket she tossed when she got irritated. The next thing Ophir recalled, Lehi grab his pajama collar and flipped him on their bed. She is now on top of him. Lehi did not stride him rather she avoided to be lined up with him. She had her elbow on the side of his head and her body was under his left arm.

"Hey, I am doing my best to have you look at me but your just hard headed and won't even glance at me. " Lehi said with annoyance.

Ophir can't hold it any longer and he started laughing uncontrollably. He laughed until his face became red. This confused Lehi for a moment. Lehi gritted her teeth when she realised he was making fun of her.

Lehi got up and was about to reach for the door knob but Ophir halted her movement by cornering her on their bedroom wall.

"Where do you think your going, wife? "

Lehi ignored him and avoided his arms as she continued to reach for the door knob. Ophir pulled her again and repeated the same gesture. Lehi had a tear roll down from her eyes as she intently glared at him. Ophir's smirked vanished and his eyes soften.

He tried to hug her but she pushed him away. She reached for the door knob and walk out of the room. Lehi knocked in Natalina's door and confided. Natalina shared a warm blanket and a sweet good night.

Natalina understood Lehi's frustration. She felt stupid for worrying that she might have hurted Ophir but he was just acting out and was only making fun of her. She even embarrassed herself on the process but she recieved a naughty smirk. Lehi fell asleep after sobbing. Natalina heared a knock from her door and saw Ophir twitching.

"Do you want to see her? " Natalina whispered. Ophir nod and slowly entered the room. He can see her swollen and wet lashes due to the light coming from the slightly opened door.

"Is it okay, if I transfer her to our room?" Ophir asked for permission before carrying her out of Natalina's chamber.

"I did not know that your cruel and. insensitive dear leader. " Natalina commented before closing her door.

Nevi encountered Ophir on the hallway and noticed that Lehi cried.

"Just tell her directly that you were jealous. You should not play with other people's feelings because of your cowardice. I am kind of angry right now Glockenspiel. You maybe the husband but I am her friend. If she remain silent after seeing you this morning then better give her the space to breath because that means you have crossed the line. She hated it, when your not honest. "

Nevi said as he brushed some of Lehi's hair on her face with his finger. He passed Ophir and gave him a friendly nudge on the shoulder. Ophir thanked him. As he carefully tucked Lehi on their bed.

Lehi woke up at dawn and felt a strong hand over her waist. When she looked up it was Ophir. She was tried to remove Ophir's hand but he pulled her closer.

"I am sorry for being insensitive. I gotta admit I envied how Nevi knew a lot of things about you. You were so cute a while ago that I wanted to tease you badly. I did not mean to ignore your worries. Please forgive me wife. "

Lehi just nod at him. Ophir flipped them over and had Lehi on top of him. He rub her back as he tried to comfort her. Ophir kissed her forehead and whispered right on her face. His breath caressing her nose.

"Is it insensitive of me to pull you for a kiss? "

Lehi just blink at him. "I'll take that as a yes. " Ophir winked at her and pulled her in for a kiss. Lehi blushed and burried her face at the crook of his neck.

Cyrus was having breakfast when Kiel came in to report about their observation concerning the Alabaster jars from the valley. Cyrus invited his son to join him.

"So, how are you and Lila? " Cyrus nonchalantly asked.

Kiel answered with the same tone.

"We are doing great. Why? "

Cyrus looked at him intently and shoot up a question that choked Kiel.

"When are you going to give us some grandchildren?"

Kiel just waved his hand and explained their situation.

"Lila and I haven't talk about it yet. Besides she is still undergoing some trainings with mother. "

Cyrus raised his eyebrow and drop his spoon and fork. He placed both of his hand under his chin and alerted Kiel.

"The rebellious fraction are suspecting that Lila might be barren and they are planning to offer another wife to have your child. I am not telling you to do it out of pressure , but I want to remind you that being a wife symbolises fruitfulness. They wanted to see some results. Explain it to Lila or would you like me to do it? "

Kiel just nodded at his father. He was right it's been nine months since they got married. He was enjoying his married life too much that he have forgotten the rebellious fraction. Kiel does not wish to hurt his wife by having a concubine. Kiel praised the Lord for the sign and wonder directly from his father's words.
