Chapter 2

Yuuzou Kaieda POV

To say I was shocked was an understatement, I thought it would be a D-rank blazer or E-rank blazer that Nijimura would have wanted to eliminate since it was an anonymous call from a fighter here that tipped us off but I didn't expect to see what looks like a six- or seven-year-old child blazer here.

"Captain, should we move and intervene now?" Takashi-kun asks me from the comms.

I take a look at the child in person, he had wild, unkempt light brown hair with sharp eyes of the same color and shark like teeth as he sported a bloodthirsty grin.

"Not yet, let them proceed with the match if we need to interfere, I will give the signal besides it won't be long anyway for us to start." I replied through the comms.

"Roger"

I don't know what it is but from years of experience when in the KOK league, I can feel that this kid is on the higher side of magic power, it's not A-rank but it should be B. That alone shouldn't warrant for me to allow this kid fight ten of these blazers especially when he probably doesn't even have any formal training but I have this gut feeling he has something special.

In the first place what's a kid like him doing here and unknown to the association, at birth blazers should have already had their mana measured as standard procedure in hospitals across Japan and his B-rank magic power should have caught the association's eye. Probably, this kid wasn't born in a hospital and his parents are no good.

I sigh and lament this kid's conditions on how he might have ended up here. If the kid is in danger, I'll personally interfere but first let me see his potential.

"Let's Fight!!" the announcer shouts and it begins

The audience shouts to varying degrees as the fight begins, none of them thought that the child would be able to defeat the skullcrushers and some were even eager to see this child meet his death due to their jealousy of the fact that the child has good magic talent because although most of them don't know his rank, they can still feel he ranks higher than them which inevitably breeds envy.

"Heh heh! Boss Nijimura is paying us good money to off this brat tonight, let's make it quick so we'll get paid!" said the leader of the skullcrushers

"Yeah, boss we got nothing to worry about it's just a kid with a bit of talent" replied one of the goons

"Good let's attack!" said the boss as he brandished his axe device. The other skullcrushers manifested their devices ranging from swords to knives to guns.

Six of the skullcrushers advanced towards Kuraudo at speed greater than an ordinary human, the two gunners behind them already fired their bullets towards him while the boss and another fighter stay behind.

Seeing the blazers coming towards him, Kuraudo takes a deep breath and mutters;

"Orochimaru"

In an instant the twin bonelike swords manifested in his arms and he begins his attack. Using the sword in his left hand he instantly shortens it to level of a small knife and slashes the bullets coming towards him.

Done with slashing the bullets, Kuraudo slashed with his right sword at great speed to the blazers coming towards him, his sword extended about ten meters, more than enough to cover the distance between them.

It took three of F-rank blazers from the skullcrushers to block his slash while the remain halted their advance and put up their guard.

"Shit it's heavy, what are you guys waiting for attack him while we're holding off his slash" said one of the F-ranks but he didn't get to continue as the blades on Orochimaru began vibrating at supersonic speed and cut through his and the other F-ranks' devices, injuring the three F-ranks with large gashes across their chest.

The rest of the skullcrushers that were among the previous five at the forefront already retreated out of the range of the slash. In one moment with a single slash the six-year-old blazer took out three F-rank blazers.

The crowds' cheers grew louder, the didn't care about the defeated blazers as it was common seeing such scenes in the arena.

"What the hell happened he cut through them like butter, I thought he could only extend and contract his swords, why is he able to make them sharper?" said one of the E-rank skullcrushers

"It must be some new power since he hasn't shown it before but it doesn't matter, we can still deal with him with these numbers, the kid just probably has D-rank blazer talent "replied the leader of the skullcrushers but before he could continue Kuraudo already started moving.

In the blink of an eye his sword retracted and using his superhuman reaction speed, he thrust forward his left sword and like a shooting gun it extended with immense speed in a straight line.

Before the leader of the skullcrushers could even react, Orochimaru's blade had already pierced his abdomen ripping through his defense and going right through his torso.

"Bwuh!!" the leader vomited large amounts of blood and collapsed on the floor as Kuraudo had already retracted his blade at high speed.

"Boss!!" the remaining members shouted but they didn't have time to catch their breath as Kuraudo had already descended on them before they could even utter their next words.

He easily crossed the distance between them in but a moment and jumped with an overhead slash aiming to the blazer at the forefront, the blazer managed to get his sword up in time ready to block the falling nodachi. However, the moment their blades were to cross, the nodachi faded like a mirage.

Before the blazer could process what happened there was already a vicious gash across his chest, without pausing to his fallen foe Kuraudo dashed with catlike agility towards the next two blazers who were in front of him, moving his two swords at the same time, it was like four places were struck at once in the eyes of ordinary people. The two blazers could not react in time and were skewered with injuries.

The audience stopped cheering and were in silence with how one-sided the fight was, sure they expected the child to put up a fight but expected him to be eventually overwhelmed and killed by the numbers.

Contrary to their expectations the six-year-old boy under about five minutes, took down seven grown men who were known blazer gangsters. This is the unfairness of the world of blazers that only a handful of individuals have the will to fight against, it is the unfairness of the difference in magic power that would allow a six-year-old to be able to do this, where the fighting experience of the gangsters would be useless.

"M..Monster!" said one of the skullcrushers with a shaky voice as he fired a bullet to the boy which he avoided by tilting his head.

"I'll test this on you guys, Jakotsujin!" said Kuraudo

Instantly his right sword extended at a frightening speed and like a slithering snake this time, it pierced through the remaining crushers one by one ignoring their defenses due to its vibrating edge and in just a few seconds, the fight that was supposed to be a staged execution for a child came to overwhelming end.

The whole crowd was in silence, looking at the child due to the fact they haven't seen blazers at even D-rank fight in person, so they were still comprehending how it turned out like this.

While the crowd was still shell shocked a silhouette appeared behind Kuraudo, slashing down at his unguarded back. Everyone was taken aback at how Nijimura Genji appeared there at this moment.

"Go to hell kid!" he shouted as he aimed for the back of the head of Kuraudo who was caught off guard by his appearance.

Nijimura Genji had used his illusion noble art and had been in the ring since the start of the fight but he was cautiously waiting for a chance to attack since when he wants to attack his illusion deactivates. He also discovered that Kuraudo had a superhuman reflex ability and knew if he attacked directly, he would be easily blocked, so he waited for an opportunity where the boy relaxed his guard to attack from his blind spot.

He was ecstatic that he was going to succeed until the right sword in Kuraudo's elongated and blocked his slash.

"What!" he was surprised because Kuraudo wasn't even looking at him and he didn't even move, his device; Orochimaru moved on its own.

Before he could continue another attack, he was electrocuted and he passed out instantly because he couldn't bear it.

"Everybody involved in this illegal fighting ring, you're all under arrest" Yuuzou Kaieda said, as he just finished instantly appearing behind Nijimura and knocking him out with a volt of electricity.

With his words the audience began to panic and tried escape but the C and D- rank mage-knights that were already in position along with the regular police officers already descended upon them and they could barely put up a fight.

Kuraudo, who was standing in front of Yuuzou Kaieda was tense, he had already dispelled his device but still uneasy about what Yuuzou would do to him.

Yuuzou glanced at him with a kind smile which eased his tensions, "That was quite a fight kid".
