Blazers. Special beings capable of manifesting their own souls as armaments called Devices and controlling supernatural abilities with their magical power. Once upon a time, these people, wielding power beyond rational explanation, were called witches and wizards. The strongest among them could influence even the movement of time, while the weakest were still capable of performing godlike feats. Incapable of defeat at the hands of mortals and their weapons, Blazers were vital to the success of militaries. Their miraculous power made these humans more than human.

Kanto Region, Japan

In the slums of this area there is a small building that has a large underground, the cover of the building says it's a boxing gym but for the more illegal elements of the region they know it as the Underground blazer fighting cage.

This place is an illegal blazer fighting pit, where some blazers voluntarily or being coerced fight in fixed matches. One of the reasons this place hasn't been found out and shut down since it was open two years ago, is because the blazers that compete here are just mainly low F-ranked blazers with a few E-ranks. The other reason is that the person who runs the illegal ring, Nijimura Genji is an E-rank blazer with power close to D-rank. He uses his noble art Sasame Yuki (TL-Light Snow) which allows him to project illusions in a certain range of area around him but the operation of the illegal fighting ring stops today.

I never thought that the Mage Knight Federation would overlook a place like this, and from the information handed over this place seems to have been operating for more than two years without it being discovered by us. I guess it just shows some of the limitations of we blazers, no matter how powerful we are, we aren't omnipotent or omniscient.

But this illegal fighting ring stops today. Since I was close to the area, I took charge of this operation and as a favor to my buddy in the police department here. My subordinates are already in position, once everyone that is involved in this illegal business gathers, we'll move and take them down.

Walking to the underground bunker where the fight takes place, I see a large fighting ring surrounded by a cage, I get into position and wait for everyone to gather.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to fight night!" the announcer exclaims as I see that nearly everyone is accounted for.

"Tonight, we will have a special event; a ten versus one handicap fight!"

"Yeeeaaaah!!!" the crowd yells

"Coming in we have the Skullcrushers" the announcer continues as ten burly men enter the fighting cage. From the intel given, the skullcrushers are just a small group of five upper-level F-rank blazers and five low level E-ranks, nothing threatening but they cause some ordinary policemen some trouble in these parts of the neighborhood and are quick to run when they know a Mage-Knight is nearby.

I don't think any, one E-rank blazer or even a low-level D-rank can face them alone which means that bastard Nijimura intends to try and publicly execute this person that is to fight against them and profit off it.

It seems I will have to intervene in this fight when it goes wrong and start the operation early.

"Now coming in, he has been undefeated since he has stepped foot in this cage. He is the Sword Eater!!"

As the surrounding people scream, I widen my eyes in surprise as I see a six-year-old boy.
