Heavens pagoda and gene lock

" finally after 17 eras i am back " 

Felix's eyes became sharper as he looked around him but after he did not find anyone he had only one choice 

" elder can you stop joking with this little one ? " 

" stop searching kid i am not anywhere , i am in your head " 

" huh ?! my head ? " 

" not exactly but yes " 

" are you the pagoda from before ? " 

" yes i am the heavens pagoda soul artifact " 

" a soul artifact ? " 

" when an object reaches a certain strength it will develop a soul and after a very long time it will become intelligent " 

" so elder soul artifact how can i call you ? " 

" my name is Ren you can call me ren " 

" elder ren what happened to the pagoda and what do you with 17 era " 

" heavens pagoda is in your spiritual space but because you didn't open it yet you cant see it " 

" elder does this mean that heavens pagoda accepted me as its master ? "

" who told you that ? " Ren had a strange look in his eyes looking at felix 

" anyway the answer is no , even if your talent is quiet good but still not enough to make the heavens pagoda accepts you as a master " 

" why ? " felix asked disappointedly 

" actually i dont know even my master back in the days couldn't control the pagoda entirely " 

" sorry elder Ren but i am a bit confused now , how did i caused waking you up , and what do you mean by master , and how dont you know anything about the pagoda and you are its soul artifact ?" 

" i have not been always an artifact soul , instead i turned my self into this voluntary , before you ask i will till you a story, the story was about a genius you can call him heavens loved one since he started fighting no one could stop him with supreme power and wisdom he ruled the world in a young age , but his ambition did not settle instead it grows every second so he decided to head to the space and the universe, but he was surprised that once he did he no longer became heavens loved one , even though his talent was special there was at least 1 or more in each galaxy, but one day everything changed he became stronger in a very fast manner that he broke lots of records , but this glow did not continue for a long time... his ego and arrogance swallowed him to the point that his friends and followings turned there back to him, that made him angry and lose his mind so he started killing them for there secrets, but there was one of the subordinates had a very special and unique talent that insured him immortality basically, so the genius decided to kill him and steal the talent for himself but little he know it was a trap and he fall in it so a massive battle started "

" both parties became seriously injured and just before the genius was killed he revealed a very strong weapon in the shape of pagoda , but instead of saving him the pagoda killed him and killed everyone in the battle except of one person the subordinate with immortality, instead of dying the pagoda swallowed his soul and made it an artifact soul afterwards he fell a sleep without knowing anything afterwards " 

hearing this story felix understood Ren's situation but there was one big question left 

" what is the pagoda used for ? " 

" you may know half of the first layer use " 

felix nodded in agreement , from the information from his uncle the first floor is used to absorb memories of others and store them for use 

" what you know is actually not the real use but because others didn't really open the first layer , the first layer not only can absorb the memories of people you kill but also can store them it may seem the same but it is different in the first layer there is all the memories that the pagoda ever stored " 

felix took a deep breath hearing that but before anything happens Ren splashed him with cold water waking him up 

" i know what you are thinking of , you are thinking in finding very strong person memory and absorbing it or absorbing all the memories in the first layer , but the answer you cant , first you can only absorb one memory per realm and the memory cant be more than 3 realm higher than you " 

hearing this felix wont say that he is not disappointed but he quickly knew that even 3 realms is absolutely OP 

" what about the other layers ? "

" i don't know and to make it clear only the first layer accepted you and only if all the nine layers to accepts you the pagoda will accept you as its master " 

felix nodded then he asked quickly " elder Ren were you a strong person before that ? " 

" cant say strong i was only in the galactic realm with 1 million year to live ? "

" o... one ... one million ?"

" yes what is wrong ? " said Ren with weird look in his eyes 

" elder Ren you are joking right ? how can a human live 1 million years " 

" what is wrong with one million years to live ? strong beings can live 10 million and even more , wait a minute let me check something " 

after that there was a strange voice from Felix's bracelet 

" how is that even possible ? how can a low grade civilization have a talent like You ? the strongest person in this star is a planetary realm power ? wait T..this cant be you people have original abilities ? how i am in a different universe or what ? " 

" elder Ren what is happening ? "

" nothing it is not good for you to know this type of things, kid more importantly what is your original ability ? " 

" when i awakened my ability it was SS+ fire of destruction but something happened and my origin is damaged so it is S+ now "

" SS+????? S+????? what are you talking about how can it be ? Felix listen to me when you go to the universe in the future don't mention your original ability at all " 

felix was confused but in the end he nodded with agreement but felix had questions to ask 

" elder Ren i wanted to ask you about should i start absorbing the cosmic energy now or wait to reach my limit before ? " 

" that is a hard question to answer, first of all i doubt that your star understand the meaning of reaching your limit, first of all you must know a basic concept called gene lock ... every creature have a gene lock and its function is locking the maximum power you can reach without breaking through another level ... when you break to another realm the gene lock moves and expands to a higher limit , in simple words if the gene lock in 10 then you breakthrough to a higher level it will become 1000 and so on , so to answer your question if you cant break the gene lock it is useless to reach the limit" 

hearing this felix started thinking after saying " i will try "

" i wont stop you it is good to make mistakes when you are young " Ren said

felix can hear from Rens words that he is not very optimistic in him breaking the gene lock.
