Super actor reborn

After being dropped, my book is now being launched again under a new name: 'Second Act: My New Life With a System.' I've put a lot of effort into rewriting it, so I think you'll enjoy it if you were a fan of the original. If you weren't, still give it a shot, I'm sure you will like. Though my opinion may be a bit biased lol

The test II

Yesterday, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions, but today I woke up feeling lighter.

Mom really don't agree with my decision, but I'm glad that she didn't forbid me of trying the acting.

I looked in the mirror and seemed I woke up prettier today, somehow my appearance looked fancier. I didn't think much about it, I just enjoyed the fact of getting even prettier than I am.

Honestly, It's such a burden being such a charming and talented man.

*Sigh*

— HAHAHA, I'm getting more narcissist each day, and more beautiful too. — I said, with a huge smile after that act of 'burden'.

It's a shame that my acting didn't level up this time, but appreciate my beautiful looks is enough.

Today, both mom and dad went to work, so I just went outside without much talk.

After a long time of introspecting, I reached my destination.

I went to the reception and looks like this is really an acting company, even the secretary is a handsome man, but not as much as me, of course.

— Good morning… — I said, and I looked at his identification badge. — Can I call you, Brandon? Well, I have an appointment with Mr. Miller today.

Brandon looked at me with a face of 'Why are you being so casual with me'

— Mr. Lee, I'll check it for you, just a moment. — He said, I could see a vain in his forehead about to burst, but I didn't care.

Why does he get so mad being called by his name?

I hear people around me whispering while looking at me, I don't need to be a genius to understand that they are gossiping about me.

— Do you know? Apparently, Mr. Miller invited that child personally to the test. — A woman said while pointing at me, does she think am I blind?

— Did Mr. Miller get senile? He looks like haven't graduated from high school yet. — Another woman said with despise, chuckling when she said the first sentence.

— Are you stupid? — A man said, while looking at them as if they were two ants.

It was a familiar voice, when I looked I saw a tall boy, his black messy hair gives him a kind of bad boy aura, black social shirt with the two last buttons unbuttoned, black twill pants and black sneakers.

---------------------------------------

I got a call from father saying I should be at the company before Lee arrives, so I went there earlier than I'm used to.

When I walked in the building, I heard two people talking.

— Do you know? Apparently, Mr. Miller invited that child personally to the test. — A woman said with that voice that I despise, a voice of mockery.

— Did Mr. Miller get senile? He looks like haven't graduated from high school yet. — Another woman said with despise, chuckling when she said the first sentence.

— Are you stupid? — I said, rage rising each second, even more with that hateful chuckle.

I hate mockery, I hate bullying, I hate people talking about me, and what I do with this kind of people?

I beat them into pulp, but I can't do this with a girl, we haven't reached gender equality yet.

The girls turned their heads with an obvious expression of discontent, but they got shocked when their eyes met the person who said that.

— B-Brian? — The woman who said with a blank face while looking at him, her brain working at its maximum capacity trying to find words to justify what they said.

— Who are you calling senile? — I said each word slowly and clearly showing the hate I'm feeling now, because father deserves the utmost respect, even more when it's in his own company.

Seeing her reaction, she couldn't find words, I felt an inch in my hand to punch her, but I don't do such things as beating a girl.

— Screw off, It's better for you if you don't open your mouth to bullshit about father again. — I was about to say some 'non-offensive' things to her, but I felt a hand on my shoulder.

— Hey, Brian, what's up? — I heard that annoyingly talented voice, I knew right away who it was.

I really don't hate Lee, but father liking him makes me kind of jealous. Don't get me wrong, I don't want anything bad to him, but I just don't like when father recognizes someone else acting.

Why? Because I am a shitty actor, just like father. I find out that I have no talent in acting, so I tried writing a play and turned out that I'm good at it.

Honestly, I wanted to be a good actor, so I could fulfil dad's dream, but at least I can do something with my writing skills.

I almost got lost in thoughts, I may be a hooligan, but I'm a cult one.

— I'll take you to father, just follow me. — I said, throwing away every bad thought about Lee, he's a nice and bubbly guy.

---------------------------------------

Walking out of Mr. Miller office, I'm really satisfied. He gave me a script and some time to read it.

I didn't get any kind of help from him, he just said he wanted to watch my reading process, and I let him be.

When I'm done with my reading, I felt the story is fascinating, and I wanted to give life to one specific character of it.

Then I asked Mr. Miller if I could do him, he looked at me with a thinking face, after some minutes he said:

— Ok, but I'll be your judge. Be aware that I'm harsher than the others. — He said with a serious voice.

— No problem, Mr. Miller, I'll be glad if you do it. — I said, really glad that I can do 'him'.

I'm really grateful to Mr. Miller, he gave a chance, and I'll grab it and don't lose it.

Why am I always narrating my thoughts? It's not like someone can listen to it, right?

*Wink*

I went to the test, it felt similar to when I got auditioned to Brian's play.

Although, this time I don't feel any anxiety, I'm rather excited to display my talent.

After I performed the play, I got addicted to receiving attention, the moment when every eye is focused only in you, it gives me a thrill that I can't explain in words.

It's just like if you were an alcoholic, and you're in abstinence, then someone gives you the better glass of wine.

I got there and heard someone calling my name.

— Lee Noon, did I say it right? Come forward. — A strong and deep voice said.
