Lesson Three

"It was in my dream!"

"In your dream?"

"Yeah. I remember what happened. It was the day where everything was taken from me."

Jimmy thought about what happened that was similar to his dreams.

"Before all this happened, I used to come from Des Moines just like you Scott."

"Wait, you're also from Des Moines?"

"Yes I was. I somewhat remember that I came from the city area."

"So how did you get here from there Jimmy? The only reason why I came here is because I was banished from my old neighborhood."

"Well Scott, let me continue my story."

"From the city of Des Moines, I came from a gifted high school. I took many Advanced Placement classes, always on the honor rolls and won a scholarship when I was just a freshmen student. With all the achievements I accomplished, I didn't want to stop my success and neglected those around me."

Jimmy went further into his backstory.

"When spring break was near, I only kept reading my textbooks and practiced on hard questions until my mother came in."

"Sweetie, are you sure you don't want to head to Florida, we're not just going to the beaches but also heading to Universal Studios, your favorite place when you were little. Don't you want to come?"

"Like I told you mom, I just want to study for my AP exams. I have no time for this thing you call fun. It's more like a distraction to me."

Jimmy's mother sighed.

"Okay sweetie. It's your choice." Jimmy's mother left the kitchen room.

Later a young girl came into the kitchen room to see Jimmy.

"Big brother. You don't have to let mom down."

"Look, little sister. Do you see those trophies and awards in the living room."

Jimmy's sister looked at the living room.

"Yeah. What about it?"

"You see. If I don't ace these exams, not get high scores and lose my honor roll status, then I won't get into Yale and everyone would see me as a disappointment."

"But brother you're-"

"Shut up Jessica. I'm doing this so I can be the successor of this family and that's final. So why won't you leave this room and me alone!"

Jessica's tears were coming down.

"Fine! If you're so obsessed with your gifted status, then I'm happy you're not coming with us!"

"THEN LEAVE!"

Jessica left the room with tears down her face.

"Back then Scott, I didn't know how to talk to others besides my sister as I was too busy studying and focusing on my academics. I didn't know what has gotten into me."

Scott looked down on the floor.

"Jimmy."

"What I did that day was the moment where I regret yelling at my sister. She was always there for me when I needed her and I was there when she needed me."

Jimmy went back to his backstory.

"Once my family left the house, I just laid my head down on my Physics textbook in disappointment."

"What the hell was I thinking? Yelling at my sister. How bad a brother am I?"

Jimmy once close his textbook and took a root beer out of the fridge.

He took a sip and sat on the couch turning on the television watching a stupid teenage high school movie.

"I swear, these high school students get it easy while I have to work my ass off."

Jimmy then ordered a pizza, took some chips from the cabinet, and a pillow from his bedroom. All he did was say on the couch until he passed out and fell asleep on the couch.

A few hours has passed and a phone started ringing.

Jimmy woke up.

"W-what?! Oh it was just a dream."

Jimmy looked at the TV.

"Oh that movie is over. It would've been a nightmare if I was one of those guys."

Later Jimmy heard a ringing and went towards the kitchen. He approached the kitchen and his phone was ringing next to his books.

Jimmy ran towards his phone and answered it.

"Hello?"

"BROTHER!"

"Jessica!"

"Help us! We got hit with a truck and I don't think mom and dad are getting up! Please help us!"

Jimmy was frightened.

"Oh my god! Where are you guys!"

"I don't know! I know we usually take the same route to go to the airport! Please BROTHER! Help us." Jessica crying on the phone.

"Don't worry! I'll be on my way!" Jimmy hung up, got dressed and got into his red convertible car.

With nothing but his family to think of, he drove as fast as he could on the same route that took his family to the nearest airport. It was a long drive as the airport was a few hours away from where they lived.

However, as it was slowly becoming the evening, there was a lot of traffic as many people were trying to come home.

Impatiently, Jimmy took another route which he believe would later bring him back to the same route.

When he took the route, it was an empty road and he cared for nothing but to get to his family.

"Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. Please be okay. At least let there be an ambulance."

He kept driving and driving as it started to get dark outside. Suddenly, Jimmy approached a sign that read "Sunshine Valley."

"Sunshine Valley? What the hell is that?"

When on the road. Jimmy would later see a figure that would look like John Decker, but ignored it as he must be hallucinating.

"What was that? I guess I need to get some more rest after spending so many all nighters."

Suddenly, Jimmy hit something that deflated his tires and at that moment, his car started slowing down.

"Now what." Jimmy's car kept slowing down.

As it reached a complete stop, Jimmy got out of his car to see what was happening. As he looked at his car, he saw that his tires were deflated.

"What the. How did my tires deflate? Did I hit a spike or something?"

Suddenly, Jimmy got knocked out as he stumbled to the ground leaving him unconscious.

Jimmy's eyes were closed until he was electrocuted.

"JESUS CHRIST!" Jimmy screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Jesus Christ? Who's that? The only Jesus Christ people know in this town is me."

"And that day, that was when I met John Decker." Jimmy saw John coming out of the shadows in a place that was mysterious.

He also notices that he was tied up on an electric chair struggling to get out.

"Who are you? Why am I tied up.?" Jimmy is afraid while trying to get out.

"Oh this situation you're in. Well well well, how should I say this? This should be a new opportunity for you. You know why?"

Jimmy refused to talk. However, that only made John mad as he electrocuted Jimmy again.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Jimmy screamed in agony as he was being electrocuted.

"I said, do you know why?" John putting his hands on Jimmy.

"W-Why is that?" Jimmy felt the stings from the electric chair.

"Because you are invited to Sunshine High. The school where we always shine. Since you're new in town, and you look like a teenager, I think you will fit best in this school."

"But I'm not new to this town nor I'm a resident here. I only drove past here so I can see what happened to my family."

John laughed as he didn't care. "Oh you sweet boy. You love and care for your family and as a result came to my streets. Well then, maybe I should let you go."

Jimmy was a little relieved. "Really?"

John was thinking about his decision.

"Na. I'm just going to keep you instead."

John again turned on the electric chair with his remote control device shocking Jimmy constantly.

"AHHHHHHHH!" Jimmy again in agony.

John then turned off the electric chair.

"You know what? Since you're my cute little doll, I'm going to make you part of my school. We need someone who is smart and..... A geek."

"What are you saying?" Jimmy still in agony.

"Well in high school, there's me, the popular kid, the jock, Troy Watanabe, and Laura, my sweet little cheerleader. There is someone that I'm missing."

John then thought of it.

"Of course! A nerd! There must be a nerd in my school. It would be perfect for this fairy tale."

"W-What?"

"You know, the nerd. The person who is always the dork in school with a high academics."

John looked at Jimmy.

"And you look a lot like a nerd. But where's your braces? Where's your glasses?"

"You bastard! You think every gifted person needs those things. Needing to act all weak and geek-like. Go rot in hell!"

Jimmy should've thought of what he said because later, John electrocuted him once again.

John then turned off the chair. "Oh now you want to disrespect me after bringing you into my paradise. Very well."

John would then wear rubber gloves holding onto a staple gun.

"As the new student of Sunshine High, I pronounce you the nerd of the school. So please don't move.

With glasses on John's other hand he put them on Jimmy's head. AND STAPLED THEM TO HIS HEAD. Jimmy was in pure agony screaming through the top of his lungs. His head was bleeding as the staples were stuck to his head.

The agony was over though as John was just getting started.

He would later super glue his hair to a weird nerdy hairstyle that would be permanent. To end it all off John would glue braces to his teeth with glue that wasn't eligible for braces.

"Well well well, it looks like I created a masterpiece. Someone who would FOREVER be the geek of the school. You can have a look for it yourself!" John brought a mirror from the corner and showed Jimmy his new figure.

Jimmy was in shock as John did horrific things to his body. "What? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BODY!"

"Oh you don't like it? I'm just doing it because you belong to be a nerd and will forever be a nerd."

"Let me go! I need to help my family please!"

"Oh your sweet little family. Too fucking bad. Your mine and will forever will be. And by the way, you had a really great car. I'm going to give it to Troy because he's going to dig some hot bitches with them."

"No. no. NO! You let me go you motherfucker. When I'm out of this chair, I'm going to-"

Jimmy was electrocuted with John setting it to the highest power.

"SHUT UP YOU NERD! After spring break, you will for now be the nerd and if you won't, then I don't think you can be with your family anymore. And by the way, I decided that your new name will be Jimmy Wilson. So how about it Jimmy Wilson?"

Jimmy is now more angry than ever. "Damn you."

"Very well. Troy, will you do the honors?"

"Will do John!"

Troy approached Jimmy with a baseball bat. He then struck him in the head leaving him unconscious.

"The next thing I remember was after being knocked out by a baseball bat, I was in a broken shed where my homeostasis was screwed. I didn't have the food or clothing needed besides the one John forced me to wear, my "house" was just an abandoned shed, and even worse, it messed up my body leaving me cold and frail." Jimmy coming back to the present day.

"Holy shit." Scott now feeling sorry for the torture Jimmy has been though.

"Jimmy. I always thought you were just a weird kid. I didn't know you were actually tortured."

"And I thought you were a quiet kid Scott."

Scott and Jimmy now have something in common.

"I can tell Scott. You must be upset by Ashley's death. If that happened to my sister, I would be in misery."

Scott hugged Jimmy.

"Jimmy. We have something in common. Our enemies are watching us wherever we are and are causing us to feel miserable just for their selfishness."

"Yeah." Jimmy started crying. "Even though my name is Jimmy, I really don't know my true name. I wish I knew my name."

"I understand Jimmy. John must've taken everything you loved with your family and even your identity."

"Yes. I wish I didn't yell at my sister before never seeing her." Jimmy kept crying.

Of what Ashley taught to Scott, he did the best in his power to show some empathy towards Jimmy.

"Jimmy. You will see your sister and I will assure you that will happen. I know she still loves you wherever she is."

Jimmy later smiled. "Thank you Scott. You're a better friend than Troy will ever be."

Scott then also felt happy as a hug from Jimmy made him feel like he was understood from what he lost.

"So what do you say Jimmy? Want to head back to the room to remove that junk from your body?"

Jimmy got himself together. "Sure."

They both went back to Dr. Garvisha's room. Scott told her everything of what was happening with Jimmy with his trauma and that he didn't mean to act all up

"Of course Mr. Smith. I'll try to remove those braces and whatever got stuck to his body, but it'll take long time and it will cost more. Will you handle the bill?"

"Of course Dr. Garvisha. Put it on my mom's credit card. I'll try to pay for it."

Dr. Garvisha looked at Scott weirdly. "As you say so."

Scott then left the room.

Before he did, Scott wanted to say something to Jimmy. "Hey Jimmy once you're done with that process. I'll have a surprise for you in the lobby room."

"Alright Scott." Scott then left the room.

A few hours had passed and it was starting to get dark outside. Jimmy's process was finally done.

"Here you are Jimmy. I removed the glasses, braces, and surprisingly the glue on your hair. However, don't remove that bandage on your few until a week has passed. Also to reduce the cold temperature in your body, you should try to wear warm clothes instead of whatever you're wearing right now."

"Of course doctor." Jimmy nodded his head.

As Jimmy left the room and to the lobby he saw Scott with a big bag on his hands.

"Scott. What are you carrying?"

"Oh this? This is your gift that the doctor recommended to me. I suggest you should take off and throw away the clothes you're wearing and wear these instead."

"Sure." Jimmy took the bag and went towards the bathroom to change.

Few minutes later, Jimmy came out of the bathroom and he looked a lot better than with his old outfit. He wore a gray hoodie, black jeans, red sneakers, and his hair seems wavy compared to his stiff old hair.

"So Scott. How do I look?"

"Jimmy. You look awesome."

"Really!"

"Yeah. Now you look like someone a gifted person would look like."

"Wow Scott. Thanks."

"Also Jimmy, another thing. What do you think of having a nickname?"

"A nickname?"

"Yeah because the name that John gave you is just so people can make fun of you so let's change that."

"Sure."

Scott thought really hard of his new nickname

"How about Jim, Jim Wilson."

Jimmy thought of the name and he thought it was a cool and great name.

"Yeah. Jim Wilson it is."

"I like that new name."

Hey everyone. This chapter is released earlier than usual. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter as this was a really heartbreaking moment for Jim to remember. I hope Jim can have the chance to see his family, especially his sister.
