Chapter 35: Pirates?

= Few Days Later =

Rin is sitting in the only at the bar at the village and is eating at the counter.

"Ugh... I'm soo bored..." Rin quietly whined to herself before taking another spoonful of rice.

'sigh... hey, system. I'm bored...' Rin complaint to the system in her mind.

[What you want me to do then?!] the system replied in a annoyed and angry tone.

Rin chuckled a little. Ever since the system developed a personality, Rin has been complaining to it. She likes how irritated the system sounds like when she complains.

*BAM* suddenly the bar's door broke down and a group of people came in.

"... This feels familiar..." Rin whispered to herself.

"We're pirates." said the captain in the group.

"Nobody asked." Rin whispered to herself before turning around to see the pirates. The captain looks like a big fat man. 'What's wrong with people introducing themselves as criminals?'

"We want all the boozes in the bar. Give it fast and no one gets hurt." the captain demanded.

The bartender immediately went to get the drinks at the back but the bartender is an old man so he couldn't pick up the barrels at a faster pace.

"Faster or I'll start shooting!!" the captain said in a loud voice.

"Hey, bartender. Let me help you." Rin said before standing to help the old man. 'Even thought I could easily defeat them it's better to solves it peacefully.' Rin thought.

"Stop right there!" the pirate captain shouted. He walked over to Rin and points the gun at her. "I didn't say you could move. I got 5 million berries for my head." the captain said in a threatening but proud tone.

'No one cares...' Rin thought.

"You know what. I change my mind on solving this peacefully." Rin hold the gun's nozzle and puts it on her forehead. "Now that you pointed a gun at me, you're risking your life." Rin said with a smirk. 'I don't know how Shanks said this without feeling at least a little cringe...'

The captain snickered "You think I won't shoot?"

*BANG*

*Thud* Rin fell to the floor. Everyone gasp from the shock. But then suddenly, "Wow... the impact is stronger than I thought." Rin said before sitting down and taking out the bullet that is stuck in her forehead. The hole made from the bullet close up and Rin threw the bullet away. She stands up and look at the captain in the eye, she smirk and said "Now that you shoot me first, that means whatever I do now will be self defense." She stomp her foot and trees starts growing from the floor's wooden planks and entangled them.

The captain was to stunned by Rin's action to do anything, same thing happened to his crew.

Rin made some wooden masks and put it on the pirates. The masks releases some kind of sleeping gas so the pirates starts passing out one by one.

'They're lucky I came from a peaceful world so I don't like killing or they would've died.' Rin said in her mind. She puts the pirates down and tie them up with some ropes she got from the bartender.

A group of marines finally came and saw Rin sitting in the middle of the bar tying up the pirates. They put their guns away and starts dragging the pirates away.

"Are you the one that captured them?" asked one of the marines officers to Rin.

"Y-yes..." Rin nodded.

"Please come with us to receive your reward." the marine officer said.

"Oh. Okay..." Rin followed them to their ship. She hop aboard.

"Please wait here." said one of the marines.

Rin nodded. She waited for about 10 minutes.

"Here's the reward, 2 million berries." the marine said while handing out a bag to Rin.

"2 million? He said, he got 5 million on his head." Rin asked.

"That must've been a lie. See." The marine said while showing a poster with the pirate captain's face.

'So it was a lie...' Rin thought. "Alright then." Rin said before taking the money.

"Excuse me, are you a bounty hunter?" asked another officer.

"Um... no." Rin answered.

"Well, just take this list of bounty and you can always get the newest bounty by buying newspaper or getting them at a Marine's Base." the officer explained.

'A bounty hunter... it's not a bad way to get money. I don't have to get chase by the Navy and I can improve myself by fighting pirates.' Rin thought. "You know what, I've decided. I'll become a bounty hunter for now." Rin said before taking the list of bounty.
