Chapter 6: Nightmare

Gandalf rode straight towards the smoking hobbit.

Morgan followed him, and as the distance rapidly approached, he finally saw the appearance of the little hobbit sitting on the roadside bench in front of him.

He is the protagonist of the film trilogy "The Hobbit": Bilbo Baggins.

Morgan was finally able to find out exactly when he arrived in Middle-earth.

He had guessed it just before, it was just before the start of The Hobbit.

It is also the beginning of all epic stories.

According to the mode of development of the plot.

Gandalf's journey was to find Bilbo Baggins, who joined Thorin Oakenshield's adventuring team of dwarves to travel to the Lonely Mountain and prepare to capture the heart of the mountain.

At Gandalf's suggestion, his party needed a raider.

Thorin Oakenshield has a great deal of experience leading this group of dwarves.

They hailed from what was once the most powerful longbeard clan of the seven dwarves in Middle-earth.

[Clan Longbeard: Regarded by other dwarven tribes as a clan with holy blood, the nobles among the dwarves, originating from Mount Gundabad and Moria, have the demeanor of kings, rich and traditional. ]

The Longbeard Clan is the Orthodox descendant of Durin's Dwarves, also known as Durin's Dwarves.

Led by Thorin Oakenshield, the grandson of Thrór and the son of Thráin, the king of the ancient Kingdom of Erebor.

Over 60 years ago, the kingdom of Erebor was attacked by the giant dragon Smaug from the north and was destroyed.

After the country was subjugated, Durin's dwarves had to escape from the Lonely Mountain and began to wander.

During this period, Thrór, king under the Mountain, decided to recapture Moria, the ancient capital occupied by the orcs.

After being dissuaded in vain, Thrór led the surviving clansmen from the Lonely Mountain to fight the orcs.

In the final battle of Moria, Thrór, king under the Mountain, was slain by Azog the Defiler, the leader of the Orcs.

It was also in this battle that Thrór's grandson, Thorin, lost his shield and grappled with a piece of oak to turn the tide, thus earning the title "oak shield".

Due to the heroism of this battle, Thorin Oakenshield was also recognized by the other members of the clan.

King Thrór was killed in the battle and Thráin succeeded the King of the Mountain, but Thráin disappeared for other reasons.

The King of the Mountain was inherited by the living Thorin Oakenshield.

This is also the background before the plot of The Hobbit series begins.

Quickly skipping the Hobbit plot in his mind, Morgan followed Gandalf and quickly walked over to the bench where Bilbo was.

Dismounting, he followed Gandalf and stood quietly outside the short fence, looking at Bilbo Baggins, who was still sitting quietly on the bench with his eyes closed and smoking.

Awakened by the passive silence, Bilbo opened his eyes and saw two strange human beings, an old man and a young man, standing outside the fence of his house, looking at him strangely.

Bilbo was a bit uncomfortable with the two of them, and unconsciously said casually, "Good morning..."

"What do you mean?"

"Are you waving at me?"

"Or do you mean do I like it or, was it good this morning?"

"Or did you mean that you were feeling fine this particular morning?"

"Or are you just saying that this is a morning worth living for?"

Gandalf spoke fluently with his cane, which made Bilbo Baggins, who was holding the pipe, feel a bit confused and even more unnatural and uncomfortable.

But he soon discovered that he was in Hobbiton and facing Bag End from him, which was his own territory.

So he immediately calmed down, he shrugged his shoulders to seem more relaxed and said, "I think that's all that…".

Bilbo's voice fell, and Gandalf fell silent again, just watching Bilbo without speaking as before.

Morgan stood by and said nothing, watching Gandalf and Bilbo in silence.

Looking at the two, especially the tall old man in a gray robe, feeling strange, Bilbo couldn't sit still and said hesitantly, "Do you... need my help?"

Gandalf finally spoke again: "Take a look and speak..."

"I'm looking for someone to venture out with me..."

Gandalf looked at Bilbo and spoke quietly.

Bilbo was stunned for a moment, finally reacting and immediately shook his head: "Adventure..."

"No, I don't think anyone west of Buckland is interested in an adventure."

"That's disgusting, annoying, awkward..."

"And it'll make you late for dinner..."

Noticing the unkindness of the two uninvited guests, Bilbo said and got up and started to step back.

When the round door of Bag End cave was sealed from the inside.

Morgan finally spoke, looking at Gandalf: "Now what?"

Gandalf didn't speak, just jumped over the low fence to the gate of Bilbo's Bag End house and gestured with his cane at the round wooden door.

The inconspicuous cane, which looked like dead wood, continued to emit light as he wrote on the door, causing Morgan's eyes to widen.

It was the first time he had seen Gandalf cast a spell and the first real magic in his life.

Gandalf drew a pattern similar to a branching branch on Bilbo's door. If you look closely you will see that there are flashes of light in the pattern from time to time.

Because the mark is etched into the corner of the door, it's hard to spot if you don't look carefully.

Morgan stepped forward and knowingly asked, "Is this it?"

"Come on, someone will come and persuade him for us..."

"We'll come back later..."

Gandalf smiled mysteriously and turned to the horses at the side of the road.

Morgan understood, and of course he wouldn't ask any more.

Soon, Morgan walked away with Gandalf.

As the movement outside faded away, Bilbo, who was leaning closely behind the round door, leaned over the small window beside the door and began to look.

Realizing that the two had just left, Bilbo opened the door again and went out.

After looking left and right and finding nothing out of the ordinary, Bilbo muttered, "It's really strange…"

He then returned to the house, closed the door and began to hum a song to prepare for breakfast today.

Even if someone interrupts, it won't affect his mood to have a delicious breakfast.

The day passed quickly.

It was dark and night fell.

Inside the warm little Bag End, Bilbo was busy with his dinner.

Fry the smoked fish until golden brown on both sides, the sausages are grilled and smell good, add two pieces of cheese and a glass of fruity red wine.

Bilbo looked at the delicious dinner in front of him with great satisfaction, just as he was about to enjoy it.

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"It's too late, who's coming to visit?"

Bilbo was stunned for a moment, but soon got up and went to open the door.

Hobbits have always been very hospitable.

Also Bilbo Baggins, as long as he wasn't the morning guest.

"Go..."

Bilbo answered, walked quickly to the door, pulled the lock and opened the door.

I saw a dwarf standing outside.

"Dwalin, at your service..."

The dwarf bowed and saluted, looking very chivalrous.

Bilbo was stunned by the dwarf's professional attitude, and immediately returned the salute: "Bilbo Baggins, at your service..."

And so began the nightmare of Erebor.

When Morgan followed Gandalf back to Bilbo's Bag End again.

Before he got there, he could hear the noise from inside and Bilbo's helpless roar.
