When I arrived at the field, some of the football club members were already warming up.
Coach Silas Mercer, a middle-aged man with a no-nonsense attitude, was standing near the goalposts, organizing the practice drills.
"Alan, glad to see you here," Coach Silas Mercer said, giving me a welcoming nod.
"We've missed your skills on the field."
"Thanks, Coach," I replied. "I've missed being out here too."
Coach Silas has always been good to me. Whether it was because I was good at playing football or other reason. He was also the reason why I had become regular despite being First year.
Anyway, I was grateful for that but it might have caused other players to grow resentful of me. But there were also others who acknowledged my skill and were happy to have me on their team.
Otherwise, even with all the skill I have, if my teammates didn't trust or corporate with me, I wouldn't be the striker of them team.
