In a Galaxy, Far, Far Away on the Planet Lok in the Outer Rim. A young Feeorin awakens something that shall change the fate of himself and the Galaxy in ways one could never imagine—all thanks to a blue screen that only he can see.
Jial let out a long breath with visible, warm air being released from his mouth. The Feeorin's body lowered from the air and onto the cool floor. Jial looked around and saw that his entire room was covered in a small layer of frost.
"The Sith have some amazing abilities. Cryokinesis is pretty useful. I wonder what it's like to use it on other living individuals," Jial was excited to test his new abilities. The Feeorin stood up and tried to stretch out his stiff body and relax. After a month of little movement, he wanted to get some exercise.
"But before I even do that..."
'System. Activate the Lightsaber Customization Kit.'
[Understood, Host. Please choose from the list of options below for the type of lightsaber that the host wishes to create.
Hilt-type: Standard, Curved, Double-Bladed, Guard Shoto, Crossguard, Long-Handle, and Pike.
Hilt Material: Phrik, Songsteel, Steel, Common Wood, Yggdrasill Wood, Beskar, and Water-Proof.
Blade-type: Standard, Dual-Phase, Shoto, Whip, and Club.
Lightsaber Crystals: Kyber, Bleeding, Ghostfire, Bane's Heart,....,....,...]
'System, give me a brief rundown of the different hilt types, blade types, and crystals.'
[Standard: The most basic lightsaber hilt that most Jedi and Sith use.
Curved: An unusual hilt used by those with a duelist combat style. Takes extra skill to use but the flexibility allows one to move around with more freedom than a standard hilt.
Double-Bladed: These hilts are about 1.5 times the size of the standard hilt and are able to emit beams from each end of the hilt, unlike standard hilts.
Guard Shoto: Features an elongated hilt with a secondary handle built angling 90 degrees out from the main hilt. Specializes in defensive combat and is usually made of lightsaber-resistant materials.
Crossguard: Features a specialized hilt that emits two blades. One blade is the standard lightsaber blade, but the second is a significantly shorter and thinner blade projected by a secondary emitter next to the main at an angle.
Long-Handle: A hilt that is between 1.5-3 times the length of a standard hilt. Used by those who want more leverage when they attack and defend.
Pike: Extremely long handles, up to two meters long, with a somewhat shorter and thicker lightsaber blade. Usually made out of lightsaber-resistant materials due to their immense size and the weakness that it provide to other weapons opportunities to disable.]
[Standard: Blades that are typically around 90 cm in length.
Dual-Phase: Lightsabers that have two or more (limited to 2 using the kit) crystals inside as well as a dial on the side of the hilt. This allows the blade to change the intensity of the beam and the size of the beam at the same time.
Shoto: This blade is shorter than the standard, usually used by smaller species as their main blade or by standard-size species as a backup blade.
Whip: A very rare variant where the blade is not a single, straight blade but instead one that is several meters in length and flexible.
Club: Considered the opposite of shoot lightsabers, these lightsabers are oversized in length. Usually between 1.5-3 meters in blade length.]
[Lightsaber Crystals: Lightsaber crystals are not only the power sources of the blade, but they also determine the color of it and any additional effects that the blade may have. Some crystals may increase force abilities, some may increase a person's concentration, and some may even provide effects that are mystical and disobey the laws of the universe such as by unleashing a frost effect on individuals who have been cut by a blade of pure superheated plasma.
Here are the various crystals: (sorry but I am not listing all of these lmao. Some of them are just ridiculous like the example I provided.)]
'I see. Then let's make the basic frame so we can customize it. Can I make a retractable lightsaber pike that can switch to the size of a standard hilt made out of Songsteel? And let's make it Dual-Phase with Kaiburr Crystal Shard and Kenobi's Legacy.'
Jial was truly able to form the perfect weapon and he was taking full advantage of it. Songsteel was a type of metal that was not only lightsaber-resistant like Beskar and Phrik but it was also incredibly light. Weapons made out of this would weigh about a third of standard weapons.
The two crystals he used were also incredibly powerful. The Kaiburr Crystal was an incredibly powerful crystal that could bring individuals back from the brink of death and increase one's force powers thousands of times over. It also granted one the ability to use Force abilities, regardless of one's alignment, and strengthen one's connection with their side of the force. A Jedi could use Force Lighting with the help of the crystal and feel no pull of the Darkside. This was only for the original crystal, however.
The shard that Jial had gotten was only capable of increasing one's power by 2 or 3 times and slightly increasing his connection to the Force but even then, that meant he could catch up with stronger and more experienced Jedi much faster. But Jial had a more devious reason to choose this one.
This crystal would keep him aligned toward the middle. Since he had little exposure to both sides, it would prevent him from being overwhelmed by either side of the Force, as long as he used it appropriately.
Kenobi's Legacy was also useful because once Jial was attuned to the lightsaber, it would prevent anyone other than him from using it without his permission.
[Understood, Host. Would you like the weapon to resemble Host's combistick?]
'Yes. Please create it using the combistick as a basis.'
[Prototype created. Please test and give feedback.]
A combistick in compact form appeared in Jial's hand. Nothing looked out of the ordinary for the hilt but it felt just right in Jial's hand. Even with Songsteel, the weight was perfect. Jial pressed one switch and the weapon expanded, creating a fully extended combistick before pressing the button again and having it return to normal.
He then pressed a different button, causing one end of the combi stick to open up and reveal an opening before a purple blade emerged. The blade was 90 cm like a standard blade length. Jial then began to toy with the dial, having the blade extend and shorten to various lengths.
'This blade is perfect. I want this one.'
[Acknowledged. The Lightsaber Customization Kit has been consumed. Host now has a lightsaber. Congratulations.]
Jial attached the hilt to his belt before walking out of his room to greet Sidon and the others as well as see the progress they had made during the month. But as soon as he walked outside of his room, Jial saw an unfamiliar face before him.
"Why, hello, Mr. Jial. My name is Fay and I am a member of the Jedi Order. I have been staying here for the past few weeks, waiting to meet you," Fay introduced herself and stated her purpose.
'I've never seen a mask like that before. It looks interesting. I wonder where he got it from,' Master Fay wanted to touch the mask but thought it would be rude.
"Greetings, Master Fay. Let's head to the meeting room to have a discussion then," Jial's good mood was already ruined. Although he knew the Jedi would find him eventually, he did not expect that couldn't even last a month.
As they were walking down to the room, Jial came across Trujj who had an apple in her mouth.
"Oh, if it isn't Mr. Jial? We have been waiting to have a conversation with you. I wonder if you have the time," Trujj sounded calm but Jial could tell that she wanted to go home. Nightsisters hated being off-planet more than anything.
"I was just about to go to the meeting room and I figure you want to talk to me about the same thing that Master Fay does. Would you like to join us?" Jial extended the offer, hoping to get rid of both women as fast as he could
The group of three made their way down to the meeting room where Sidon and Boxe were already sitting. Jial hadn't called for either of them, they were just taking a break and eating lunch.
"Boss. You're up!" Boxe was the first to stand up and greet Jial. "Sidon has something to tell you!"
'This bi...' Sidon cursed her mentally before standing up and greeting Jial as well as the two women accompanying him.
"We can talk later, Boss," Sidon made an excuse before the two women before passing Jial a datapad. "Here is a summary of everything that you have missed this past month."
Jial grabbed it and read it while he took a seat at the table. Most of it was standard stuff about the growth of the group. He was just about to put it down when he read the final few lines and understood just how much trouble they were in.
'I should have left Lok when I had the chance.'
At the very bottom of the report, read the words: Toxis Group found a depot of Stygium.
Out of all the materials in the galaxy that could be found on Lok, the one that Jial wished the least that could be found was actually Stygium.
Stygium was a controlled crystal that had one very important property to it. When properly used, one the size of a marble could cloak an entire person perfectly. A depot had the potential to cloak an entire fleet. And that was only what had already been found.
