Chapter 12

Zilvarth was watching over the targeting practice that he was putting some of the newer recruits through.

He and Sidon had tested each of them when they had joined under them and organized them based on their skills.  The squads were pretty much split between half that were relatively good shots with half that were relatively poor shots. Those who also scored as the lower half of the ranks were made to undertake lessons on the makeshift targeting range that they set up.

While Zilvarth was overseeing their shooting, Sidon appeared by his side.

"Hey, Zil. We got big problems," Sidon told him

"You mean the stuff Boxe found?" Zilvarth kept it vague, not wanting the recruits to find out what the two had found in that little box. "How'd you find out about it? I was just about to inform you."

"Wait, what? What did they find?" Sidon was shocked. He didn't expect that something else had occurred on this already troublesome day.

"You didn't know?" Zilvarth was also surprised. "Wait! What is the other problem?"

"Nightsisters. Their ship should be landing any second," Sidon told him, feeling dread about their arrival

"I never knew you were one to kid around," Zilvarth tried to laugh it off but even with his mask on, it was obvious that Sidon was not joking. "And those two are still out retrieving the supplies from the Toxis encampment. How'd they even find the spaceport?"

"They're force-users," was all Sidon said while shaking his head. He began to walk toward the spaceport with Zilvarth in tow.

The group arrived at the spaceport where they met with several women wearing red clothing, some of them having light robes that covered their entire bodies and hoods while others wore bodysuits with some light armor plates over them. These were members of the Hunter and Warrior class of the Nightsisters.

"Greetings, ladies. We are here to welcome you to Wyne," Zilvarth gave a slight bow to the ladies, not wishing to offend them.

The Mandalorians and Nightsisters went far back. Both were nomadic mercenaries who would war on other planets to bring riches and glory back to their homes. They were also similar in that there were many clans that did not report to one another but instead formed a clan council, with the exception of the one true leader, Mand'alor in the case of the Mandalorians and the Queen of Dathomir in the case of the Nigthsisters.

They actually had somewhat of a mutual respect for each other. However, Mandalorians typically looked down on them using force abilities while the Nightsisters looked down on the Mandalorians' usage of many advanced technology.

The leader of the group of Nightsisters was a Dathomirian called Trujj Nakrid. She had been a Hunter for nearly 20 years and was one of the few women who were in the position of becoming the successor of Mother Nolmia.

"A Mandalorian? Figures you would be the ones here," Trujj smirked before holding up a piece of paper with the Yautja symbol on it. "I'm guessing this is your clan's symbol."

"No, but they do belong to our contractor, the Yautja."

The Yautja and Clan Spar were officially going to be allies once the group grew bigger but at the moment, they were contract workers who were given temporary officer positions until they could be filled out later.

"Yautja? Quite the unique name," Trujj commented, not sure what tongue the name was from. "Is one of them a force-sensitive? There was a large pull in The Force that called us to this planet. Our magic was able to help us locate exactly where the pull came from and that symbol but we have yet to see the face of the true owner."

"That'd be the Boss," Sidon commented from the side. He figured that they had already found them so there was no point in hiding it. Even if they killed the women, all it would do was cause the other Nightsisters to come and attack them in full force. "Sidon Ithano, 2nd in command of the Yautja."

"Trujj Nakrid, Head Hunter of Clan Ravenpeak," Trujj introduced herself back to Sidon. "Is your leader available?"

"Not at the moment. He has entered private study and probably won't be out until next week or even the week after," Sidon gave them an honest answer. Although it had already been a week since Jial entered seclusion, they were pretty sure that he would be in there for longer than the time he had given them.

"We can wait. Do you mind hosting us so we may meet with him?" Trujj couldn't go back without at least meeting the person who had unleashed that call to them. He could be the one that could unite the various clans across Dathomir.

"That is of no issue. We have several empty homes near the Yautja base where you may stay," Sidon told them, ready to lead them away when he saw another ship arriving. A Delta-6 Sprite-class starfighter. That could only mean one thing.

"Jedi," Sidon, Trujj, and Zilvarth all commented at the same time. The small fighter was only used by Jedi since they were the only ones crazy enough to pilot such a thing without having a larger ship to park it on.

"I'll greet the Jedi. You can lead them back to the house," Zilvarth told Sidon who nodded. Sidon led the Nightsisters deeper into the town while Zilvarth waited at the entrance of the Spaceport for the Jedi to emerge from her ship.

He did not have to wait long before he saw a beautiful woman in tan and brown robes emerge from the hangar. There was something about her that made Zilvarth feel at ease, not thinking that the woman would harm him in any way.

"Greetings, Master Jedi. My name is Zilvarth Spar of Clan Spar," Zilvarth cupped his hands while giving a small bow to show respect

"Hello, Sir Spar. My name is Fay, a Jedi Master of the Jedi Order," Master Fay waved casually toward the larger and intimidating-looking Zabrak. "I felt a pull in the Force that led me to this location. I am looking for..."

"My boss," Zilvarth cut her off, not meaning to be rude but to just save time. "The Nightsisters who just arrived said the same thing."

"I see. Is there any chance I can meet him?" Fay asked, not minding that he had cut her off

"Of course, but not at the moment. He is..."

"In meditation. Trying to understand the lessons that The Force holds within it," Fay cut him off with a playful smile. "Do not worry. I can wait."

"If you're alright with that, we have no issues. Let me bring you to where you can rest, Master Fay," Zilvarth shrugged his shoulders. He couldn't beat a Jedi, especially such a friendly one. It was hard to hit a pretty and smiling face like Master Fay's.

'Jial, looks like you will have a lot of meetings once this is over.'

While they were walking down and back toward the area where the Yautja resided, Zilvarth decided to try and get some information out of the Fay.

"Master Fay. Are you here on behalf of the Jedi or..." he did not finish his words but Fay understood.

"Yes and no," Fay looked around the town, curious as to why she had never heard of such a place before. "Many powerful Jedi also sensed your boss but they could not feel where it was coming from. Only I could. I reported this back and told them I would investigate the phenomenon myself so there should be no other Jedi coming to Lok."

Zilvarth nodded and felt relieved. As they were walking, he had already seen many Yautja and private groups eyes Master May warily. Jedi were not welcome in parts such as Lok.
