Chapter 138: Tense Negotiations Episode II

A//N: Before the chapter I just want to give a shout out to Akira Toriyama. Creator of Dragon Ball.

May he rest in peace.

-------------------------------

(3rd Person: POV)

As the Jedaii and the delegation from the Galactic Republic simply continued to stare at each other, Jollin Resbin decided to move things along on his own.

Namely because he didn't expect the the current situation to occur at all.

So putting a frown on his face, the Sneevel turned in the direction of the Galactic Republic delegation.

"Senators, master Jedi's, what is the meaning of this? Why have you come to Sneeve? We have already formally withdrawn from the Galactic Republic so you should have no business here." Jollin spoke. "Also representative Sedran, why are you standing with the Republic representative's?"

Jollin spoke.

Having just asked all of the questions Yennali and the other Jedaii wanted to ask, but refrained from doing. Since it would likely only escalate the developing situation.

Which they all wanted to avoid.

"To answer your question senator Resbin we are hear on orders directly from the office of the Supreme Chancellor." Aks Moe began. "It received intelligence that the Kastolar Sectors withdrawal from the Galactic Republic was done so under "outside" influence." The senator from Malastare spoke.

His gaze focused on the Jedaii.

All of them understanding what Aks Moe was trying to say.

"Propostorous!" Jollin quickly retorted. "We of the Kastolar Sector withdrew from the Galactic Republic of our own free will!"

"Be that as it may senator Resbin we have been dispatched to investigate the situation. I hope you can understand." Senator Organa spoke. "Of course if our presence here is a source of strife then we will make arrangements to leave as quickly as possible."

"Yes, it is as senator Organa says." Shaak Ti added.

"I see." Jollin mused. "Well since you brought it up senator your presence here is creating a tense situation. So kindly-"

"-Actually representative Resbin I think it would be better if they stayed and conducted their investigation." Yennali spoke up.

Interrupting Resbin.

When she did so he turned to look in her direction.

"Can you make such a decision young lady?" Rollin asked Yennali.

Who shook her head in response.

"I cannot. But I don't think our own senatorial delegation will take issue with these events once we thoroughly explain how they came about. But this is not our home. So as Senator Organa and master Shaak Ti just pointed out, if you want the Republic to leave you can make it happen. Just know that the GSA will likely take no issue with them remaining." She spoke.

"I see." Jollin replied.

He then waited a few seconds before speaking again.

"I have made my decision. The Republic delegation may remain here on Sneevel and conduct their investigation." He spoke. "However if you do anything other than that I won't hesitate to have you kicked off the planet." He told them.

"We understand representative Resbin, and we thank you." Senator Organa spoke.

"Right." Rollin replied. "Oh and representative Sedran you never answered my question. Why are you with the Republic representative's?"

"My acquaintance master Billaba asked me for assistance and I gave it." The female Chalactan replied.

Not backing down even after Jollin began glaring at her.

"Very well." Jollin spoke.

The meeting then ended.

Once it did so Yennali and the others returned to the Pelican they had used to arrive on Sneevel and inspect it before having the senatorial delegation brought down from the cruiser in space.

Entering the Peiclan Komari used the controls and closed its rear hatch.

Once she did so Kento spoke up first.

"So, what are we going to do about this pile of Bantha dung we've just had thrown at us?" He asked.

Referring to the situation he and the others had just walked away from.

"Like I said let's first inform the senators of what we just learned. Then we'll take it from there one step at a time." Yennali spoke.

"Why?" Sia-Lan asked. "It's obvious they think we did something even though we didn't. So I say we tell them to kriff off and keep their hands out of our business."

"Which in turn would likely destroy any chance we have of building a friendly alliance with the Galactic Republic." Nahdar spoke.

Earning him a glare from Sia-Lan. Which the Mon Cal Jedaii didn't flinch under.

"Nahdar is right Sia, acting too hastily will only make things worse." Yennali spoke. "So for now let's just take a wait and see approach."

"I don't like it." Kento said. "Something's not right here. I can sense it and I know you call can too." He spoke.

Kento's intuition being spot on.

Because every since Yennali and the others laid eyes on the Republic delegation the Force had started to fluctuate.

"That's why I think we should call off this meeting, or at least post-pone it."

"Which will give more credence to the Republic that we did do something to forcibly get the Kastolar Sector to withdraw from them as a member state and then request to join the GSA." Yennali replied. "So that's why I think we should stay the course. But as we all know the final decision rests with the senator's."

"So let's stop debating and give them a call." Komari said.

So the Jedaii did just that.

They got in contact with the senator's and let them know of the situation they encounteres upon arriving on Sneeve.

Then after learning about the situation the senator's took a few moments to speak amongst themselves before giving their decision regarding the matter to Yennali and the others.

"We wish to go ahead and proceed with the negotiations." Senator Bonteri spoke. Her being the voice of the senators in the delegation.

"Ok then." Yennali replied.

The two groups then ended the call.

"Well that's that." Komari spoke.

"Yeah. We're staying." Kento added.

"And let's make sure we all leave together." Yennali said.

Since she was not about to let this mission get any worse.

Though as the old saying goes: It gets worse before it gets better.
