Falling Into Place

George kept his march forward, his head bowed low and the calculative smirk still visible on his face. Just when he had thought that his chances were slim, an idea suddenly descended upon him from the heavens.

He raised his head slowly and returned to his cold and apathetic self, his eyes dull and emotionless. They were already close enough to the borders of the Dark Continent, and someone was surely going to come receive them - someone he can use as a pawn.

A pawn, that was all he needed to instigate chaos and gain more energy for the incoming enemies.

[Player, I suggest—]

And I wouldn't need the help of this stupid system, all I need is my past knowledge, and the environment for casting. All I need is the perfect scheme that would benefit me immensely.

[But Player, I can provide—]

"Hehe, here he comes." George smirked coldly upon sighting a lone figure walking towards them from the distance. His eyes shrunk in a purple light, and his vision was improved by many folds, allowing him to clearly see the figure walking towards them.

Using his [Eyes Of Immorality], He was even able to see through the figure and look upon the trees and bushes behind it. After scanning the environment with his purple pupils for a while, he blinked.

After blinking, the purple light in his eyes died out, and they returned to their normal size. After that, he gave Al'Hazrel and seeing that she looked nothing out of the ordinary - he averted his gaze back to the newcomer.

It figure walking towards him was a tall dark elven male, the male had a long sword in his hand and he had his head bowed slightly. He had pointed ears, long dark hair and glistening black eyes.

He had noticed George and Al'Hazrel walking over from the distance with his keen eyesight, and had ran over to test if they were friends or allies of the Dark Continent. It was his humble duty.

His name was Xyls, a commoner dark elf residing at the borders of the Dark Continent. His job was simply to go greet newcomers and act as a watchman of the continental borders.

"Sigh, although the job was risky in times of danger, it was also very rewarding." Xyls raised his head slowly, and the frown on his face deepened. He was very vigilant towards the newcomers and had prepared himself for the worst scenario possible.

His training and self experience made him prone to taking swift and decisive decisions. Especially against sudden hostiles and ambushes.

Seeing the intense cold aura being radiated from George, Xyls was a bit shocked but shook off his wild thoughts and averted his gaze to the dark haired beauty obediently walking after the cold male.

"She looks normal, and nothing is out of the ordinary. But, reports have come in during the first descent, these Dark Angels have the ability to revert to mortal forms, blending in with others completely."

Xyls frowned in thought, he wasn't dumb and knew that there was a high chance of the female being a Dark Angel. But, he couldn't base his actions on mere assumptions and needed proof of his claim.

"Dark Angels have an intense reaction to 'Holy Light', and objects like the Immortal Cross or Overflowing Water Of Light would be more than enough to make them go completely crazy." Xyls smiled to himself, and a splendid plan took form in his heart.

All he needed was to act normal and draw the two to their doom, capturing a wild Dark Angel and some random kid would be a very easy job.

---

George uses that person to gain easy entrance into the Dark Continent.

---

Xyls had a poker expression as he walked towards the duo, but George, who had centuries of experience under his belt, immediately saw through Xyls' poker face facade. He smiled deeply in his heart, but stood still and unmoving. His brows relaxed.

Unlike George, Al'Hazrel had her brows creased and her eyes cold. She didn't know why, but she was able to sense something sinister coming off the elven male standing before her and it made her greatly disturbed.

"Hello, my name is Xyls Alaster from the Dark Soul House of the Chaos Blade Empire."

The long eared Xyls introduced himself with a short bow before casting a cold glare in George's direction.

"Who are you? What brings you to the Dark Continent?"

George frowned, he didn't speak for a while. After a few seconds, he spoke in a voice as cold as ice, "You don't recognize you Prince anymore? How dark this lowly mortal question me?"

Xyls was stunned for a while, looking closely at the icy face of George for a while, and in the next minute he threw himself upon the ground. Lying down with his face facing the earth and back facing the sky, he had begun shivering from head to toe.

"Prince George! Please forgive the misgivings of this lowly subject, I was too brash to not recognize you!"

George raised a brow as he stared down upon the shivering Xyls. He had prepared for a scenario where the pitiful creature wouldn't recognize him, but since he was discovered his plans would have to be altered.

"Stand up!" George ordered coldly, he wasn't warm in the slightest towards the male grovelling at his feet in fear. He had built this image and reputation with the blood of his countless opposers, and not even death would force him to alter his character in the slightest.

Like a frightened animal, the dark elf leaped up in a haste and remained standing with his head bowed down to the ground. He was not foolish, and knew better than to disregard the image of his prince.

"Pitiful mortal, take me to the gates. Don't even think about trying anything stupid, I don't need to tell you what will befall you if you do."

Al'Hazrel watched George and Xyls carefully, her eyes shimmering in a strange light. She seemed to have understood something, but didn't voice out her thoughts and kept it in her heart.

George didn't bother too much with the inspection of the demonic angel besides him, his already knew that she would be able to understand a few things from this scene, and deduced it wouldn't be detrimental to him or his plans in any way.

Without thinking twice, Xyls nodded briskly and turned around to leave in haste. He was tensed, being aware of the ferocity of the prince of chaos against his enemies, although he hadn't ran into him in reality in the past.

George smiled faintly as he watched the dark elf walk off with his head bowed, he didn't follow and Al'Hazrel also remained standing. After a while, he raised his right hand and suspended it mid-air.

"What are you—"

Before Al'Hazrel could finish her question, she was quick to noticed something strange occuring. George who was still standing still, had his eyes now glowing in a faint light - his body was relaxed completely.

Xyls who was walking off hastily also froze, as if he had witnessed the emergence of an ancestral ghost.

"What, what did he just do…" Al'Hazrel dropped her weak and feeble mask and hurried over to George's side, waving her hand in front of his face. Contrary to her expectations, he blinked twice and glared at her.

"Get out of my face." George spat coldly as he spun his pupils to the side, his face stone cold and brows knitted together. He didn't move any other part of his body except his eyes.

Just a split second after George's actions, Al'Hazrel felt a strange invisible force tug at her sides - pulling her away from George's view and flinging her to the side - right at the middle of some trees.

"My proficiency with the chaos element allows me to defy even the basic laws of nature like gravity, casting you away like that with my sight alone is the barest minimum of what I can do when I'm serious."

George's voice was cold and bland as he spoke, and he wasn't joking in the slightest. In a battle against the Light Continent a few decades back, he had torn down cities without even looking at them.

Squashing Al'Hazrel like a bug with his gaze was just as easy as existing for him. Any below the Heavenly Soul Supreme Realm would not be able to get even a thousand miles close to him if he's serious.

Ripping apart planets? He had almost done such a silly thing years ago during The Colonization. All he needed was just to set his eyes upon it, and it would be completely blown apart into oblivion.

But sigh, with his Chaos Qi Reserve sealed, achieving those would be nothing than a mere fantasy. Unless he wanted to exploded from using excessive Chaos Qi or wither away from Qi Deprivation after using a skill.

Sigh, all he needed now was a stable source of chaos and a pawn was already in his possession. His plan had already began to fall into place, now what was left but to continue? Nothing else.

George smiled coldly as he fueled his mental energy into the puppet he made out of Xyls, willing the dark elf to move forward with a deep killing intent in it's eyes, it lip's curved up into a grotesque smile.

Everything was falling into place.
