Daniel vs August

"EH??? Mom…what are we here for?!" A boy with red hair wines.

Currently, Famine is walking through a dimly lit hallway of an underground bunker, with her two half demon abominations in tow, a thirteen year old August and a nine year old Winter.

"We're here to meet a very special someone, someone that I've been meaning for you two to meet for a very long time now," Famine answered as she peers down at August with a sweet smile.

August's face flushes red as his eyes widen in excitement. "You mean we're finally here to-" August excitedly begins to say, but his mother cuts him off.

"That's right!" Famine answers.

Eventually, Famine, with her two kids in tow, walks through a pair of double doors, and enters an office-like throne room. Sitting at a desk towards the tail end of the room, is a man in a gray suit. Standing beside him was a boy in a hoodie of a darker shade of gray. He has long black hair which covers one eye.

August's experience brightens upon seeing the man. "Ahh…ahhh… August stammers, so exicedted that he can hardly speak. "LORD DEATH!" August exclaims as he rushes over to the man.

"August, wait!" Famine cried as she desperately attempts to reach a hand out to catch her son.

"It's quite alright, Famine!" Death laughs as he waves his comrade off.

After a frantic run, August stops in front of Death's desk, sparkles in his eyes as he peers up at the mighty demon. "Lord Death…I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!" August exclaims, causing Death to let out a boastful, cheery laugh.

"Well keep up the training, and one day, and you can be as powerful as me!" Death replies.

"Really?!" August exclaims, sparkles still in his eyes.

"Really" Death answered with a small nod and smile.

"This is the best day ever, I feel like I'm gonna die!" August exclaims as pretends to faint.

"Well don't do that yet, sport, I need you!" Death laughs.

"You do?" August asks as he turns to face Death, cocking his head at the Demon.

"Of course! You -as well as your sister- are crucial parts for my plan of infiltrating the Pro Slayer Organization, and defeating them once and for all!" Death answers.

"ALRIGHT!" August cheers as he punches a fist into the air, causing the boy beside Death to snort. "EH?!" August asked as he turned to face the boy. "And what's your problem? Don't you worship the almighty Demon King Death as well?" August growls.

"Not particularly. I loathe him, in fact," the boy nonchalantly answers as he turns to face August. "And I loathe you, as well" the boy then added as he leers August.

Despite being older, August couldn't help but to feel like a mere child under the kid's presence. August can feel the urge to kill Death oozing within every molecule of the kid's Cursed Power, even if it's not directed towards him.

. "Why you little…" August growls as he begins to make his way over to the boy, but is interrupted when Death reaches out and places his hand on top of the boy's head, ruffling his hair. The boy -in turn- smacks Death's hands off of his head then turns away and sulks.

"He's just joking!" Death laughed, but August can tell that he isn't. "August, Winter, this is my boy, Daniel. Daniel, meet August and Winter," Death explains.

Daniel and Winter remain silent.

"Ooh, you're the Demon King Death's half demon son, Daniel?!" August swooned.

Daniel doesn't reply. He simply peers back at August and scowls.

"I want to fight you!" August then shouts as he aims an accusing finger at Daniel, catching both Death and Famine off guard.

"EHH?!" The two demons cry.

"No, August, we're here for you two to meet Daniel, not to fight it out!" Famine exclaims.

"Woah woah woah-" Death interrupts as he holds a hand up to Famine. "Little boys like ours love to fight! And what better way to meet someone than to hash it out on the battlefield?" Death asks. "I say…we let them fight."

"Er…I guess so…" Famine meekly replies as she takes a step backwards.

"Daniel, are you alright with this?" Death asks as he turns to face his son.

"Yes, father. I'll make short work of August," Daniel replies.

"And August…?" Famine asks as she turns to face her son as well.

"HELL YEAH!" August shouts as he punches a fist into the air again, before turning back to face Daniel. "You're on!

"Mother…is big brother going to get hurt?" Winter meekly asks as she snuggles into her mother's side.

"No, don't worry Winter, August will be safe," Famine answers as she peers down at her daughter with a small smile.

Currently, Death, Famine, their children had just made their way into a large open room in the underground bunker, used for combat training. Death, Famine, and Winter stand off to the side, watching the spectacle unfold, while Daniel and August stand facing each other in the arena.

"Beat his ass, Daniel!" Death calls to his son.

"Don't let my research go to waste, August!" Famine calls to her own.

"Don't you think it's strange, our parents whose duties are to nurture and raise us, cheering us on in battle?" Daniel asks as he circles around August, who simply shrugs in response.

"Eh, we're demons! It's what we do!" He answers. "You were born to become the Demon King…I was born to kill…

"The rules are…there are no rules. Just please try not to kill each other, that would be disadvantageous for Both Famine and I," Death pleads. "Now…let the battle begin!"

"I'll overwhelm you with numbers! Flesh Clones: Doppelgänger!" August shouts as he sticks both arms out to the sides. August's skin begins to bubble as mounds of flesh fall off of his arms, plopping to the ground below. The mounds of flesh then begin to mold themselves and take shape, forming replicas of August.

At least… that's what they're supposed to be.

August's "clones" have the general gist of August's appearance, but with deformities, some of them slight, some of them massive. Famine can't help but to sigh and face palm, causing Death to snicker at her.

"So you haven't even mastered your Cursed Ability yet and you want to face me? Pathetic," Daniel grunts. Daniel then crouches down and places his palm to the ground. And just like August's mounds of flesh, Daniel's shadow begins to change shape, and chains with barbed, black blades at the end begin wiggling out of Daniel's shadow. "Shadow Sickles: Chain and Sickle!" Daniel shouts as his sickle blades fly towards August.

"Come on, my clones, let's go!" August orders as he smirks and charges Daniel, with the intent of sending an army of clones rushing towards Daniel as well. But upon seeing none of his clones following him, August turned around and shrugs. "Come on, what gives?!" He snaps.

A couple of clones attempt to run after August, but due to their deformities, some are slow and some aren't able to do much more than hobble after him. Other clones just stand there, looking around or not moving. Others begin fighting one another, confused as to who their target was. Some clones wind up falling and tripping as they desperately try to make their way after their master. August sighs as he pinches the bridge of his nose. "You guys are useless…" he grumbles to himself.

"I'll just have to take care of things myself!" August then exclaims as he spins around to face Daniel with a smirk, but when August lays eyes upon the swarm of Shadow Sickles flying his way, August's eyes widen.

"AH!" August cries as he ducks and covers his head with his hands, just as Daniel's shadow sickles fly overhead.

Daniel's shadow sickles then fly past August, piercing his swarm of flesh clones straight in their chests, crumbling them back into red Cursed Power.

"Whatever! I don't need them anyway!" August shouts as he charges Daniel, all by his lonesome. In return, Daniel retracts his shadow sickles back into his shadow. As August charges Daniel, he slips his right arm out of his gi top then leaps into the air. "Flesh Clones…" August begins to say as he touches his left hand -bubbling with red Cursed Power- to his armpit under his right arm. When August removes his hand, two more arms grow under his first right arm. "Transfiguration!" August shouts as he swings his triple Cursed Power Barrier reinforced fists towards Daniel, who dodges effortlessly by sinking into the ground, disappearing into his shadow.

"Huh? Where did he go?!" August asks as he lands onto the ground where Daniel once stood, and frantically looks around, desperately searching for his missing opponent.

August's question is then answered when he hears a voice call from behind him: "Shadow Sickles: Pierce the Heart!" August then feels a burst of pain explode from his chest, as he feels the warm stickiness of his blood running down it. August let out a small cough of blood before peering down, and seeing a pitch black shadow sickle blade sticking out of his chest. August then strains his head around and peers over his shoulder, seeing that Daniel has a shadow sickle wrapped around his wrist. Daniel had reappeared out of August's shadow when August wasn't looking, and pierced him with that wrist shadow sickle of his.

"Daniel, I said try not to kill him!" Death snaps as he jumps out of his seat.

"If he dies to this, then he can hardly be considered a demon…" Daniel growls

"Mother, shall I kill this one?" Winter coldly asks, and Famine instantly feels the air around her grow closer due to Winter's icy aura, a sign that Winter is feeling distressed.

"Don't worry, Winter, your brother wouldn't die that easily," Famine smugly answers.

Daniel then rips his shadow sickle that was coiled around his arm out of August's chest, who stumbles forwards for a bit, coughing up blood, before spinning around to face Daniel, hunched over from pain. "Tell me, have you unlocked your half- demon mode at the very least?" Daniel asks.

"Mother has told me about the powers of a half-demon, but I haven't yet" August answers, causing Daniel to close his eyes and shake his head.

"Pathetic. Had I known, I wouldn't even have bothered fighting the likes of you," Daniel replies with a sigh. When Daniel opens his eyes to face August again, the whites of his right eye have turned black and his pupil white.

"Black Demon."

With a burst of dark gray and black Cursed Power, the veins on the right half of Daniel's body turns black, as Daniel resumes his half-demon form.

"Woah!" August cries as he stumbles backwards due to the force of Daniel's rush of Cursed Power.

Daniel then slowly strains his wrist-blade up, sending it flying towards August, who's too injured to move. But rather than piercing him in the chest, which August had tightened his muscles in anticipation for, Daniel's shadow sickle instead wraps itself around August's throat, hoisting him in the air. August flails and kicks in protest, but Daniel's shadow sickle wrapped too tightly around his neck for August to muster up any strength. Using his shadow sickle, Danielthen carried August over to him, so that the two are standing face to face, Daniel's demonic eyes staring straight into August's fearful ones.

"You have a long way to go before you can consider yourself a half demon," Daniel growls. Daniel's shadow sickle is choking August too tightly for the boy to respond, he can hardly breath. All August can do was stare at Daniel with fear in his eyes. And then with all of his might and a short battle cry, Daniel uses his shadow sickle to lift August even higher into the air, before launching him at the wall across from him. August is sent flying into the wall behind him, his back slamming into it and kicking up a cloud of dust. When the dust settles, August is lying in the ground, unconscious, in the rubble of the completely decimated wall.

The fight had ended in an overwhelming victory for Daniel.

August had been defeated.

Famine pinches the bridge of her nose and sighs, while Death laughs at her.

"It seems your research has a long way to go!" Death exclaims.

"Shut up, this affects you too, you know!" Famine snaps. "You should have been praying that my genetically-engineered half-demon soldiers win, instead of the wild-card that wants to kill you!"

"Kill me or not, I still take pride in my son's strength," Death replies with a smirk.
