Chapter 20: Chu Yang at Hogwarts
"I will definitely become the Hokage one day! Just like Lord Hashirama!"
On the first day of Ninja School, Chu Yang noticed a loud, shouting student at the entrance.
Teaching wasn't something Chu Yang was fond of. For one, he was a prodigy and lacked the patience to instruct ordinary people. For another, he really disliked annoying children.
Especially those in a hyper-excited state.
Like the one yelling in front of him now.
With an irritated expression, Chu Yang walked over to the noisy child, placed a hand on his head, and said calmly, "This is a school. Keep it down."
Unexpectedly, the kid had quite a temper. He swatted Chu Yang's hand away and ran behind his father, making faces at Chu Yang.
Chu Yang: "..."
The ninja, apparently recognizing who Chu Yang was, smiled apologetically. "Lord Yang, I'm sorry. My son is poorly disciplined. Please don't take offense."
Surprised, Chu Yang asked, "You know me? What's your name?"
"My name is Sarutobi Sasuke, and this is my son, Sarutobi Hiruzen."
Sarutobi Sasuke smiled as he pushed Hiruzen forward and whispered, "This is the Hokage's disciple. Didn't you admire him? Why aren't you saying anything now?"
Sarutobi Hiruzen stared wide-eyed at Chu Yang.
Chu Yang widened his eyes and stared back, both locked in a silent exchange.
What the hell!
This brat is the future Third Hokage?
Chu Yang was still in a state of shock when the young Hiruzen boldly said, "So you're the Hokage's disciple? You don't look that impressive."
Chu Yang: "..."
Sarutobi Sasuke awkwardly scratched his head and laughed, "Haha, Lord Yang, I'm sorry. The child must not be fully awake yet and is speaking nonsense."
The corners of Chu Yang's mouth lifted slightly as he gave a forced smile. "It's fine. I'll take him inside in a moment. He'll wake up real quick."
Sensing the threat in Chu Yang's tone, Hiruzen instinctively retreated, trying to hide behind his father.
However, his father pushed him right back towards Chu Yang.
"Lord Yang, I'll leave Hiruzen in your capable hands. I have a mission to attend to." Sarutobi Sasuke then bent down and told Hiruzen, "Study hard, and I'll come pick you up after school!"
With that, Sarutobi Sasuke vanished in a flash, clearly in a rush for his mission.
Hiruzen looked up at Chu Yang, giving a stiff, ingratiating smile.
Chu Yang smiled back, though to Hiruzen, it felt like a devil's grin.
"Waaaah!!!!"
The young Sarutobi Hiruzen broke down, crying loudly in fear.
Did I really just make the future Third Hokage cry on his first day of school?
Chu Yang rubbed his forehead, looking thoroughly exasperated.
...
The school season was stressful, not only for Chu Yang in the Naruto world but also for Chu Yang in the Harry Potter magical world.
Chu Yang in the magic world was born in an orphanage in London.
Before entering the Soul Palace, Chu Yang had already received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts.
Chu Yang had some magical talent, but at that time, he was worried about the dangers that lay ahead in the school.
The first few years would be fine. Chu Yang believed he could get by. The real problem was that when he reached his fourth year and the Triwizard Tournament began, it would signal the return of Voldemort.
Chu Yang doubted that a mere wizard apprentice from an orphanage like him could survive the ensuing magical war.
Rather than face such a high risk at Hogwarts, he'd rather live safely as a Muggle.
But now, things had changed.
He had his cheat code!
With the support of the other two Chu Yangs from different worlds, he suddenly felt much more confident.
So, once his soul returned to the real world, the first thing Chu Yang did was retrieve the acceptance letter from under his pillow.
The first page read:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
(President of the International Confederation of Wizards, First Class Order of Merlin, Grand Sorcerer, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot)
Dear Mr. Chu Yang,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
The term begins on September 1st. We await your owl by no later than July 31st.
Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall,
Deputy Headmistress
Chu Yang began writing a reply to Hogwarts, explaining his situation at the orphanage and requesting that the school send a professor to assist him.
He had no idea how to get to Diagon Alley by himself.
The owl delivering the letter had been so diligent that it almost got caught by the orphanage's nuns, who wanted to cook it for soup.
Once the owl had his reply, it flew off swiftly, disappearing into the sky.
"As long as it's not Snape coming, I'm fine with any other professor." Chu Yang didn't dislike Snape, but as a student, he preferred to keep a respectful distance from him.
Snape reminded him too much of those old-school disciplinarians from his past life who wielded canes...
There was still some time before Hogwarts would send a professor after receiving his reply, so Chu Yang needed to gather some funds for his school supplies in the meantime.
How to gather funds?
Of course, by... uh, redistributing wealth!
This was 1990s London, and dark alleyways were full of idle hooligans.
Chu Yang specifically targeted these types, and on lucky days, he'd stumble upon a gang deal, scoring big.
In just two days, Chu Yang had gathered enough money to cover his next seven years at Hogwarts.
This, of course, was something Hogwarts couldn't know about. On the surface, Chu Yang had to maintain the appearance of a poor student.
Three days after sending his letter, Chu Yang sensed an unusual presence with his Observation Haki. He packed his belongings and quietly slipped out through the window.
After waiting in the yard for a while, a gentle voice suddenly came from behind him.
"Mr. Chu Yang, I'm glad to see you're all prepared in advance."
Chu Yang turned around and saw a short, plump witch walking toward him. She had frizzy, unkempt hair, a heavy robe, and a pointed hat full of patches.
Chu Yang nodded and asked, "Are you a professor at Hogwarts?"
The witch smiled. "Mr. Chu Yang, hello. I'm Pomona Sprout, Head of Hufflepuff House and Herbology Professor at Hogwarts."
Chu Yang bowed slightly and responded, "Professor Sprout, nice to meet you."
Professor Sprout glanced at the orphanage behind Chu Yang and said softly, "In Hogwarts' thousand-year history, it's rare for children from orphanages to attend. The last one was..."
