Damien clicked his tongue.

"I'll kill the last reacher, focus on the monsters behind us!"

Killian dropped his submachine gun on the floor and pulled out his shotgun. He immediately spun around, pointing it straight at the horde.

A deafening shotgun blast resounded.

There were so many creatures that every single pellet of that shotgun hit at least one of them. A mass of blood and flesh sprayed into the air. A smug smile formed on Killian's face. He guessed that five of them were killed, while numerous more were injured.

As for Adonis, he whipped his machine gun around and began firing without abandon.

Zenos had his snub-nosed shotgun in one hand and the katana in the other. However, he did not act, but rather waited.

On Damien's side, he spent a second to aim at the reacher, looking down the sights. Damien was using both hands to hold the gun, despite the fact he used to hold it with one.

His hands trembled slightly, but Damien's expression was as calm as a rock.

The reacher let out an uncomfortably loud screeching sound as it ran across the room. By the time it was roughly twenty meters away, Damien pulled the trigger.

A bright flame came out from the other side of his gun.

The bullet pierced straight through the reacher's head, causing blood to spill everywhere. It stumbled back a few steps but did not fall over.

As for Damien, he grimaced. The recoil of the gun hurt his wrists pretty badly and even more so for his wounded hand. However, despite the fact it was still hurting, Damien kept his composure and began aiming once again.

The reacher had bent back, almost like it was trying to do the limbo. It froze in that position for a few seconds before suddenly snapping up and charging towards Damien.

However, things were a little different this time. The creature began flailing around wildly like it was terribly drunk.

Damien frowned.

Although there was a good chance to shoot it earlier, he missed it while recovering from the pain. Now, Damien didn't have the confidence of shooting the head with it moving around so erratically.

He shot at the body, landing a direct hit.

Blood sprayed out once more. The creature took a step back and paused, but only for a moment. It sprang forth, charging toward Damien in a way that resembled a mass of goo.

In response, Damien fired once more, hitting its body again.

From that, the creature stumbled several steps forward as more blood began spewing out from its gunshot wounds. It slowly stopped moving back before gradually turning its gaze up to the ceiling.

Then, it fell to the ground, no longer moving.

Damien let out a sigh with fiercely trembling hands.

"You can back up, the reacher is dead!"

The others did not delay in backpedaling away, avoiding the clutches of the many monsters at their front.

The creatures were able to create a fairly large hole in the gate, but were still funneled because they no longer bothered to create a new hole once there was one available. They stepped over the large pile of corpses that had formed and charged toward the group.

Once he saw a large amount stacked all within the hole, he let loose with his shotgun once more, causing a large amount of blood and flesh to scatter into the air.

Adonis continued to fire his light machine gun. Though he wasn't the most accurate, the number of creatures made it so that it really didn't matter.

As the number of creatures began dying down, Damien raised his voice.

"Stop firing your primary weapons! Pull out your secondaries!"

Adonis and Killian did as commanded, despite the fact that there were still a few creatures close by to him. As for Zenos, he bent his knees and pulled back the katana, ready to strike.

There were still five pale-skins left along with one reacher.

Adonis only took a second to retrieve his desert eagle from his holster, whereas Killian was forced to bend down to pick his submachine gun up.

Adonis had a deep frown etched on his face. However, he did not panic and lined up his shot carefully.

He shot at the nearest pale-skin, hitting its head. The shot was a little to the side, but it was enough to directly explode the pale-skin's head, killing it.

As for Killian one of the pale-skins got uncomfortably close to him in the time he took to raise his submachine gun. Killian was about to fire in a panic, but before he did, the gleam of a katana swept past, taking the head of the pale-skin.

It was Zenos.

Killian gave him a glance before focusing on his front once more.

There were still three pale-skins and a reacher left.

Damien shouted with his brows furrowed intensely.

"I will take the middle one, you guys take the ones at your respective side!"

First, Damien shot, piercing the head of a pale-skin and forcing it to snap back. The creature paused for a moment, but it would not take long for it to come charging once more.

At this point, Damien's eyes were bloodshot and his hands were trembling violently from the pain.

However, Damien decided to steel his nerves, tightening the grip on his pistol until it didn't shake. Then, he took one final shot, bursting the creature's head into countless pieces.

After that Damien could no longer hold onto the pistol and dropped it.

As for Killian, he looked down the sight of his submachine gun. There was a tiny green triangle to indicate where it would go.

Before, Killian would aim this triangle around the creature's head. However, the recoil he faced from the submachine gun would cause his next shot to miss. In order to compensate for that recoil, Killian would pull down hard.

However, that just meant he would hit the body.

Now, Killian decided to try something new. He aimed the sight at the creature's body before pressing the trigger.

Three bullets fired.

One hit the creature's chest. The next one hit the creature's neck, and the final one hit its head.

The pale-skin had no time to react before it began stumbling backward. Right when it seemed like it would regain its footing, it fell down. After this, Killian's vision got blurry.

His stomach injury had still been causing him great amounts of stress. Though Killian had been holding on up to now, his body was starting to give in. Even if he squeezed out what little willpower he had left, his eyes would not follow.

As for Adonis, he took several deep breaths and aimed. Although he took a little longer than he needed, it was still far better than panicking and firing bullets recklessly.

Another bang rang out.

The last pale-skin's head exploded. However, the battle was not won yet.

While the other creatures were being dealt with, the reacher used the time they bought to close in.

Zenos was paying attention to the situation the entire time.

He immediately realized that Damien and Killian probably weren't going to be able to provide assistance any time soon. As for Adonis, he took too long to kill the pale-skin.

As such, in the time that it took to recover, the reacher had gotten in range of Adonis. Its sickly red arm abruptly extended forth, shooting straight towards Adonis' chest.

Large amounts of panic assaulted Adonis' mind. In the end, he simply fired the last bullet in his desert eagle. However, in his panic, he didn't even take a second to aim.

So naturally, Adonis missed.

The fear that built up nearly paralyzed him as the red arm shot toward him.

A sharp clang rang out.

Adonis snapped out of his stupor after realizing that he hadn't been stabbed. Zenos blocked it with his blade, just like how Damien did for him last time.

Adonis raised his desert eagle to fire once more, but Zenos shouted.

"Hit it!"

Not questioning him, Adonis dropped the desert eagle before throwing his fist straight at the reacher's head.

It was blasted back, and lifted into the air for several meters before landing on the ground. Zenos dashed towards it and brought his katana down on the creature's neck.

With a crisp crack, it came off.

Adonis took several deep breaths, calming down the pace of his heart. Zenos let out a sigh of relief.

"Thankfully you aren't so dumb that you didn't listen to me."

Adonis tilted his head to the side. His brows scrunched up slightly as he was offended, but he decided to swallow it as Zenos saved him from getting hit.

"What do you mean?"

Zenos clicked his tongue.

"Your damn gun has no bullets left! What do you think would've happened if you tried to shoot it?"

The corner of Adonis' lip twitched.

"Ah... I see."

Zenos let out a soft sigh.

"Just be conscious of your bullet count."

Adonis nodded.

At this moment, Damien raised his hand.

"Alright, let's talk about what just happened."

So I have to say, I definitely did the best out of all of you. Ok, meeting over!
